I work from home as a local real estate broker and often am looking for ways to take a break from my laptop. Because I am self-employed my schedule is flexible overall. There are days of the week I go to other parts of the city to volunteer, so I might have flexibility in distance, but prefer to offer services close to home during the week to maintain some sort of routine myself.

Safety, trust & environment
I am attentive and first check for the basic needs - litter boxes/bathroom breaks, water, then food. Afterwards I try and play with the animal I am checking in on for at least 15 minutes - some aren't always into it though. I take photos of the animals I check in on, and sometimes videos, and share those with the person of the household I have been in touch with. If an animal needs a little more time I am always willing to bring my laptop and hang out at the client's house for up to an hour or so if that would be helpful.

Let me know if there is anything specific I should know about your dog, their preferences, or routines. I want to be as prepared as possible, while setting accurate expectations.
A typical day
I love to play ball or fetch with dogs who are into it. I am also totally okay playing tug, or just hanging out in the backyard for chill time. If the weather isn't great we can play fetch in the house, down a hall, or play with puzzle balls/feeders.

Pet care experience
I grew up with all kinds of animals - mice, bunnies, cats, dogs. As a preschool teacher we had a classroom guinea pig whose nails I would cut and cage I would clean out (when she wasn't at a students house for the weekend). As an adult I have had cats and dogs, and have fostered dogs and bunnies as well. I am a real estate broker in town so am self-employed and work from home which means my schedule is pretty flexible. My late cat used to take liquid medication and crushed medication orally so I can do that if your animal needs it as well. I'd love to meet your fur baby!
Reviews

I have been fortunate to book Deanna previously and she is a pet-owner's dream: 100% reliable and treats your pet with plenty of TLC. Everything was taken care of including my deck plants and clean sheets. Thanks so much Deanna!

So grateful for Deanna! She played with Franklin during her check in and sent me a ton of pictures! I know I can depend on her in the future. Much appreciation!

Our pup is always so happy with Deanna! Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Our first time using Rover and having Deanna stay with our pup. Her communication with us and care for our dog and home kept us confident and relaxed the whole time. Very grateful and highly recommend!
