“Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.”

About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs in the house, even one gerbil! Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their animals since the age of 12, and I have experience administering medication and feel comfortable with any extra care your pet may require. I am a freelancer and my last contract ended recently. I am appreciating this downtime, which means I have an open schedule to provide care throughout the day for your pets. I would like to meet your pet in their own environment to keep continuity, and am happy to set up a check-in schedule with you for updates about your pet’s day and routine, including pictures if requested.

About: I worked at a vet clinic for 3.5 years but due to life changes I now work at a pet store and petsit to continue to work with animals while I work towards my goal of working in vet med again. I’m reliable with my own transportation and am very knowledgeable in proper pet care. I am communicative, compassionate, and attentive to animals and their needs. I have been my own friends’ and family’s pet sitter for the past 5 years and I treat every animal as if they were my own while in my care. My whole life revolves around animals; I have 4 cats of my own and have fostered 15 animals successfully in the past year, ranging from cats of all ages, dogs, and Guinea pigs. I also work directly with animals at my job and am looking to continue that path. I have multiple rooms in my home to separate the animals in my care if needed, I have access to professional services if an emergency were to arise while also having knowledge of what to look for in with different medical conditions that can be present in animals. I have a good understanding of animal behavior and I understand their needs.
“Stephanie was great! She gave great updates and gave me piece of mind that Blue was taken care of and got some energy out while I was at work, which ment I could come home to a little less hyper puppy!”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life! My mother was a dog breeder, meaning I have experience with puppies! I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have a dog in the house growing up, wasn’t till recently that I haven’t had a pet in the home. I’m a single mom to an animal loving 3 year old, who would be my little helper. I currently work in the medical field meaning I’m comfortable administering all kind of medications, whether that be topical, oral, or injectable medications. I have done pet sitting in the past, I have taken care of many kinds of animals, dogs, cats, horses, livestock, you name it I’ve probably taken care of it! I currently work full time, but I am home on evening and weekends, so I’m home starting Friday night to Sunday night to take your pup out as often as possible. During the week I am gone typically 12-14 hours a day, but if your pup is use to that I can make it work to let them out in the morning and then rush back to let them out once I’m home. I live in a duplex with a small fence in area that I can do quick potty breaks and then live close to walking trails for longer outside times. I have a 3 year old daughter who loves to play with animals. I also love close to parks that I can take dogs to if owner is comfortable with me transporting them. I also live close to my sister who has an active dog who loves friends to play with so that is an option if you have a high energy dog that likes friends.
About: I’ve been taking care of my friend’s dogs for a couple years. Whether that’s walking them, feeding them, taking them out to go potty, I am completely experienced in all of those fields. Having had a dog of my own for 6 years, I know how to handle any sort of situation and how to be flexible with other dogs wants and needs. I have plenty of time this summer to help out and play with your pups! I’m available Mon-Fri after 12p and I’m willing to be flexible with times/days! I always make sure my dog’s food and water is filled and put pee pads down when I know I’m going to be away from the house for a little while. Before I start walking my dog I always make sure I have doggy bags filled and sometimes I’ll bring a rubber water bowl for hotter days.

About: I offer more than just pet sitting—I provide loving, attentive care that ensures your pets feel safe, comfortable, and nurtured while you're away. With hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, I tailor my approach to each animal’s unique needs. Whether it's gentle senior care, administering medications, or helping puppies through basic training and housebreaking, I bring patience, consistency, and affection to every interaction. I treat every pet like family, keeping their routines, comfort, and happiness at the heart of what I do. You can count on me to keep you updated and your pet well-loved until you return. As a college student returning home for summer, pet care will be part of my daily routine through feeding, walking, grooming, and spending quality time with your pet(s). Caring for your pets in your home is a responsibility I take seriously. I tailor my approach depending on the type of service you book, always prioritizing safety, comfort, and trust. Every pet is unique, so I customize my care to meet their needs and your preferences. My goal is for you to feel confident—and for your pet to feel happy and safe—every time I visit.
About: Hi! I'm Nate, and if you've got a dog who needs a walk, a cat who needs a buddy, or a pup who just wants a solid hang — you've found the right human. I didn't just grow up around animals — I grew up with them. We're talking dogs, cats, birds, and full-on farm animals. At any given point in my childhood, our place was basically a petting zoo with a roof. I've hand-fed, cleaned up after, played with, and genuinely loved more species than most people have on their bucket list. These days I'm a proud dog owner myself, and I've also fostered for multiple rescues and organizations — including the Puerto Rico Dog Fund and Many Miles from Home Animal Shelter — so I know firsthand what it means to trust someone with your fur baby. What does all of that experience mean for your pup? It means I'm calm in chaos, patient with personalities, and I actually enjoy watching animals just... be themselves. Whether your dog is a zoomies-at-6am type or a "I will sniff this one blade of grass for 45 seconds" type — I'm here for all of it. My goal is simple: to be the person your dog loses their mind over when they hear my car pull up. Walks, hangouts, check-ins — whatever your pet needs, I bring the energy, the patience, and the genuine love of animals to back it up. Your furry friend won't just be in good hands. They'll be having the time of their life. 🐕 I work from home, so your pet gets real quality time — not just a quick pop-in between meetings! I'm also an early riser, so mornings mean walks, fresh air, and getting those zoomies out before most people even hit snooze. Whether I'm at your place or mine, I follow your rules — feeding schedules, routines, preferred spots on the couch, all of it. You know your pet best and I'm here to keep things consistent and comfortable for them. If your pet stays with me, they'll have a fully fenced backyard to roam and my 4-year-old smaller German Shepherd to show them the ropes — she's basically the ultimate icebreaker.
“Our dog doesn't have a lot of experience with sitters, and Allison knew just how to patiently interact with her as she warmed up to her new friend. We're also going through a house move, so our pup and cats are going through lots of change. It feels good to know that Allison brings the experience we need as an animal lover.”

“Thank you for taking care of our dogs! We have been looking for someone we can rely on in the coming weeks to help walk our dogs and feel so thankful to have found that someone in you!”

“Nadine was super responsive and flexible when I needed last minute help with walking my dog. Nadine was great at communicating before and during the walk if there were any questions and being patient with my stubborn boy. Highly recommend!”

“This is the second time Mara has helped me out with taking my pup on a walk while I’m at work. She is so great with my girl and sends the cutest pics and videos of their adventures. It’s wonderful having peace of mind that your furry child is well taken care of while you’re gone! She’s the best!”

About: I’ve always known I was an animal lover, but it wasn’t until I got my very own cat at 18 that I finally recognized the great responsibility and deep bond that comes with pet ownership. I have been pet sitting on and off for 10 years and love meeting every furry friend. I have experience with senior animals as well as young, energetic puppies and kittens and am able to carry out your unique care plan. I will make sure your pet is treated with as much care and love as if they were my own.

“First time using this app. Great experience. Kelly was a huge help! Good communication, flexibility, and even came to meet Shamus before the scheduled walks. Felt full confidence in her to take care of our pup. Easy recommendation.”

“Lee is awesome! They are understanding and caring! Our dog is a lot to handle but Lee is really patient with him. Such a relief to have a dog walker who we can count on! Thanks Lee”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog owner with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. I love dogs and animals so incredibly much - my dog Nellie is my baby. I provide personalized one-on-one dog walking and enrichment visits tailored to your dog’s unique needs, pace, and personality. My background in canine handling has given me additional experience working with dogs who are high-energy, sensitive, anxious, reactive, or simply do better outside of group environments. Whether your dog needs exercise, decompression time, midday support while you work, or enrichment, every visit is designed around what helps your pup feel happiest and most comfortable. You’ll always receive photo updates, a detailed Rover card, and consistent one-on-one care. 🐾 I am currently available full-time and can accommodate walks, drop-ins, or enrichment visits throughout the week. My schedule is flexible; I can work with your preferred days and times to find the best fit. I prioritize one-on-one attention for each dog (siblings too), making sure every visit is calm, structured, and tailored to their needs. 🐩 I am happy to discuss recurring weekly visits or occasional bookings to best fit your dog’s routine. I have a small backyard and in my home I provide a comfortable and pet-friendly environment for your furry friend. I ensure they have their own designated space, whether it's a cozy corner or a separate room, where they can feel safe and relaxed. I maintain a clean and hazard-free living area, removing any potential dangers or toxic substances from their reach. Daily exercise and playtime are essential, and I tailor these activities to your pet's energy level and preferences. If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I strive to maintain their routine as closely as possible. This includes following their regular feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any specific instructions you provide. I'll also keep your home clean and tidy, ensuring your pet is safe and comfortable during your absence. You can expect open communication, with updates and check-ins as often as you prefer.
About: I’m uniquely experienced in managing multiple pets, having cared for two or more pets at all times. I understand group dynamics, individual needs, and how to keep every pup happy. Will has been walking our elderly dog during these cold months and we couldn’t be happier with his service. We love Will! He makes our lives easier by helping us with our dog and paying close attention to his bumps and aches as he ages. Would recommend Will for anyone who loves their dog but also has a million things on their plate and just needs someone reliable!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
