About: I have trained my dog as a service animal from ages 14-16. He is able to do tasks such as harm prevention, getting an adult, and deep pressure therapy. He also knows basic commands such as sit, down, shake, roll over, wait, stay, and "all done" I have experience rescuing and fostering a puppy, potty training him and teaching him basic commands. I have a cat and have cat sitted for many years for neighbors. I also took care of my teachers baby bunny in 2018, as she entrusted me out of every student to take care of the bunny, Saturn. As a student currently in community college at PCC, and a future RN, I am busy with school. Thanks to PCC and modern technology however, I am able to do most of my classes online through individual learning. I am only doing one class in person (ASL), twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-12:30. Other then that, I have no weekly commitments I have to attend, leaving me open to do anything you require me to for your fur babies! Starting in September, I am starting my CNA program which will be full-time but we can discuss the Fall term in depth once I finish my Summer schooling. If I am allowed to bring your pets to my home, I have a lovely sprawling 1,000 SQFT backyard with lots of grass and area to run in. I also have my own dog (professionally trained and not a barker) who loves other animals (including cats!) so your baby can play with him if you request it. If not, I can put him in an entirely different area so they won't interact. My neighborhood, Robinwood, is absolutely beautiful to walk around, with a public playground, trails, and a river a block away I can take your dog to if you wish! In your home, I will do what you ask me to, whether its just hanging with your dog outside, feeding them, cleaning up a bit around the house, or just dropping in to say "hi" and get some playtime in. Just let me know!
“Damita was great and our pets loved her! Really appreciated that she took time for a good meet and greet before our trip and she kept in touch while we were away. She also watered our plants and left the house tidy. We'll definitely ask her to stay again!”

“Kaylee was great! My pups have some special needs and are not the.best rained. Kaylee did a fantastic job making them feel safe and happy. I will definitely look to book Kaylee again!”

“Mackenzie did a terrific job of taking care of my elderly cat Mia. She sent frequent updates and lots of good photos and Mia really took to her which doesn’t always happen. Great sitter, I would definitely recommend and would hire Mackenzie again!”

“I just returned from a trip to Costa Rica. I think this is the 4th time Tiana has taken care of ReNee. I rehomed ReNee when she was 12 and now she is 13 and 8 months. She had been abused in the sense that she was crated most of the time. She never jumps on anything, and I think she was reprimanded for it. Tiana is marvelous with her. She really works at making ReNee comfortable and secure. Tiana sends pictures and videos, and she keeps me up to date on how much she is eating and when. She is a finicky eater, but Tiana works at seeing she eats well. Renee is hyperthyroid, so Tiana gives her meds for that. She also spends time playing with ReNee, so she gets some good exercise as well. I am sorry I did not take the time in the past to write a review. I could not be more pleased with how well Tiana cares for ReNee.”

“Amir took terrific care of our dogs and house! He sent us photos and helpful updates throughout the week. When we returned, our pups looks relaxed and happy. Looking forward to having Amir spend more time with our dogs and I highly recommend him to others!”

“Carly took unbelievably loving and conscientious care of our small dog and large cat for an extended weekend. She gave us frequent updates with sweet pictures, asked us thoughtful clarifying questions about their feeding and care, and left the house absolutely immaculate. We are incredibly moved and will be booking Carly again!”

“Avalon really helped us out at the last minute and stayed with our Sherman , a sweet 9 year old Frenchie for the day. She kept us up to date with photos and how their day was going and went on a nice walk with Sherman as well. We will definitely book with her again. After meeting her that morning and talking with her for just a bit, I could see what an animal lover she was and Sherman was so happy as well. Thank you Avalon!”

“Adeline did a great job. Exactly what we asked for. She checked in with us during her stay. Respoinsive when we contacted her. Foxy and Gray Guy were fine when we got home.”

“Zach was great! He took care of our dog for five days in our home, paying special attention to Bentley’s unique needs. He sent updates, asked good questions, and left the house even cleaner than it was when he arrived. We’d definitely book with him again”

“Tayler was amazing! She stayed with Koda, sent lots of pictures/videos, and was very responsive. Thank you, we’ll definitely be reaching out for your services again 😊”

“I hate leaving a review because I want Jamie all for us! We’ve never had such a phenomenal dog and house sitter who takes such amazing care of our pets and our home. He lets us truly relax and enjoy vacation knowing everything at home is in the best hands. I couldn’t recommend him more.”

“Mercedes did a great job taking care of our pup two different times. She was very communicative and showed up / left right on team, leaving our house in great shape. She treated our dog like her own and he seemed very happy throughout her stay with him!”

“Lindsey was great! He watched my dogs at my house for 5 days and he did an excellent job communicating with us daily, sending pics and updates on the pups. House was clean when we returned. He had good training tips as well. He even covered up our outdoor furniture for us when it started raining, which was much appreciated. I would rebook, dogs seemed very happy with him.”

“Christine was fantastic both as a pet sitter for our furry friend and with the house. It was our first time having a pet sitter and we never worried about our dog while we were gone. It was a huge relief to just go on a trip without the additional anxiety regarding the dog at home. We knew she was in great hands!”

“Katherine was absolutely wonderful! Kind, communicative, attuned to my dog and cat’s needs and wants. She took great care of my babes and my home, and I will absolutely book her again!”

“Kimberly did an awesome job caring for our dog and house while we were out of town. She stayed in touch, gave us updates about the dog and definitely gave him tons of love and playtime, and the house was immaculate when we returned.”

Addy took exceptional care of our dogs and home while we were away for a long weekend. She brings genuine warmth and confidence to her work, and we had complete peace of mind throughout our trip. Her check-ins were always on time, and it was such a treat to receive photos of our happy pups. We came home to well-cared-for dogs and a tidy home. We couldn’t recommend Addy more highly!

Hands down best dog/house sitter we’ve ever had. Truly exceptional and one of a kind. Our pups were so well taken care of. Avalon goes above and beyond. And that’s not just applicable to our babes….our house was left in perfect condition as well. Honestly reluctant to give such a raving review selfishly because we do not want her to get too busy. 😬😇 Bottom line, you will not regret hiring Avalon.
Sydney has watched our two dogs twice now, and we couldn't be happier with the care she provides. She's an excellent communicator, keeping us updated while we're away, which gives us so much peace of mind. We always come home to two happy, healthy dogs and an incredibly clean house. It's clear she genuinely cares for our dogs and treats our home with respect. We highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy pet sitter.

Rebecca is so kind and loving. Our animals were all so spoiled and loved while we were gone. We greatly appreciated receiving updates and cute pictures of our pets. Rebecca has an excellent communication style, and was a pleasure to have stay in our home with our pet family.

We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! It was such a relief knowing our pets were happy, loved, and well cared for in their familiar environment. Mercedes kept us updated, was incredibly reliable, and left our home in great condition. We would absolutely trust her with our pets again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

This was our first time using Rover, and we had a wonderful experience. Janice was incredibly warm, caring, and attentive, and took excellent care of our dog while we were away. She kept us updated throughout the weekend with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter.

Brennan was wonderful with our two dogs and cat while we were away. He provided excellent care, kept us updated with great communication, and left the house in perfect condition when we returned. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. Highly recommend!

Alexandra has been so amazing to work with. She understands the behavior of our high-strung little dog. I feel confident she is treating our pet with a ton of patience and compassion. She is also easy to communicate with and leaves our house in great condition. I would happily recommend her!

Carly was amazing! Very accommodating last minute to come earlier due to a sudden family loss. She had great communication the entire time and sent tons of pics! Not to mention, Sampson adored her. 😻Already rebooked her and could not be happier with her communication and respect for our home.

Steven is truly wonderful!! I feel so lucky that I’ve found such an awesome human to take care of my baby girl and my home. She took excellent care of my pup, who is now sleeping like a rock from all of the wonderful care and attention given to her. Steven also took wonderful care of my home. I highly recommend her, as I will be using her from here on out!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Jennings Lodge on Rover is $51.06 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,510 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Jennings Lodge. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Jennings Lodge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Jennings Lodge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Jennings Lodge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jennings Lodge. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
