Highlights
Pet care experience
Cat and Dog Lover!
I have been caring for pets since I was a child, but I started volunteering at my local Humane Society in 2010 where I ended up adopting my first two kittens. At 10 my cat Pepper ended up with diabetes and skin fragility syndrome and I learned how to care for her including giving her insulin shots everyday, twice a day and measuring out her food, I can give medications both liquid, pill, and injection. My other cat developed Asthma and I learned how to give her inhaler puffs. These experiences make me uniquely qualified to care for cats that need daily medical treatments. I have also grown up with dogs and love them dearly. While I can no longer walk dogs, I can let them outside for potty breaks and throw their favorite toy. I can trim nails on both cats and dogs. You can trust your furry friend to me while you're away!

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I cannot do pet care in my home, but in your home I will do whatever is needed to care for your furry friend. Timed feeding, medications, claw trimming, litterbox cleaning, playing. I cannot walk dogs but I can give them potty breaks and pick up after them if needed. I will make sure there is access to water and if anything appears to be wrong, I will follow instructions you set for me to make sure your baby is okay!
Ratings and reviews
Mackenzie was wonderful. My kitties are very very shy and easily scared. I’ve come to the conclusion that Mackenzie is a “ cat whisperer.” She has veterinary knowledge and is very gentle in her approach with the kitties. As a nervous cat mom, I have been hesitant to go out of town, but now that Mackenzie is on board, I will feel more confident to travel.
Mackenzie is phenomenal! We’ve used a few pet sitters over the years, and she is hands-down the best. She sent daily morning and evening updates with photos, so we never had a moment to worry about Bowser—we could tell right away from the pictures that he warmed up to her quickly and was in great hands. She even managed to brush him, which is a major feat in its own right! Plus, she left our house spotless. We’ve already booked her for our next trip and will definitely be using her for our vacation next year.
We were very happy with McKenzies work with our cat. Great photos and she came to our Houston care for our cat at the times we asked her to. We will certainly ask her for help if needed again.
Mackenzie did an amazing job watching my little Mickey doo 😊 he really took a liking to her. Now I feel more comfortable going on vacation knowing that I can have an amazing reliable sitter. Thank you again
Super responsive, sent lots of updates and took great care of my cat and my house!
Mackenzie checked every box for me. She did house sitting for my asthmatic senior kitty with some health needs. She gave me as many updates as I asked with lots of pics and even a video. Not only that, but she followed all of my notes thoroughly and she kept my house extremely clean. There is nothing better than coming back from a long trip to a house left exactly as you left it. I will 1000000% be hiring Mackenzie again. My cat seemed to really like her too! Lots of snuggles.
