I work full-time Sun-Thurs, and unfortunately I’m not able to have any pets of my own (yet) due to house rules. Because of this I’m always grateful for the opportunity to get some quality time with pets. Earning an animal’s trust and learning about what makes them unique is a beautiful feeling, and the knowledge that I’m helping someone out at the same time makes it even better. I’m currently taking classes, so my main focus on weekends is schoolwork, which means I have plenty of reason to stay in and hang out with the pets. I think this works great for house-sitting since I am staying in to study for the most part, aka lots of quality time spent with your loved ones!

I am very conscientious about what I’m doing in someone else’s home and make a point to leave it how I found it, if not better. When it comes to house sitting, I am able to spend much of the day at the house and stay overnight with them, which provides a sense of security and companionship for your babies. I believe pets are most comfortable in their home environment so my goal is to keep their stress as low as possible, caring for them the same way they are used to- ie. timed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks; whatever I can do to keep everyone happy and healthy. I know how hard being away from your fur babies can be, so I make sure to take lots of photos to send!

A completed care chart on Rover is really helpful prior to booking. Mannerisms, medications and expectations for their care are all important things for me to know. **Before confirming a stay, we will schedule a meet and greet so we can make sure it’s a good fit and touch base on important information that ensures the best care possible for your little ones. When it comes time for the stay, feel free to write a detailed list of a regular routine for each pet so I can do my best to keep them happy, safe and comfortable!
A typical day
For dogs, we will go on daily walks and have some quality snuggle time if that’s what they’re feeling like! They will get lots of quality time and attention with me.

Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals my whole life, and have cared for both large and small dogs, cats of many shapes and sizes, and even horses and birds. I have experience with senior dogs, high-energy breeds, lap cats, anxious pets— I think all of them deserve love and quality care equally. I’m also a very active person and will make sure dogs get regular walks— I believe a well-exercised dog makes everyone happier!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Sydney provided for our two dogs while we were on vacation. She went above and beyond- sending us multiple pictures and updates everyday, which gave us so much peace of mind. Sydney was awesome! She took great care of our dog and house! She was great at sending pictures and updates. We had some last-minute plans due to a flight cancellation, and she was flexible and very helpful. We highly recommend her and would book her again!
Sydney did a great job! Our dogs can be a handful because they are spoiled, and our youngest one can be pretty needy and is afraid of everything. She handled everything really well and when I returned to the house, I couldn’t even tell she had been here. Would definitely hire her again.
Sydney was an awesome house sitter/petsitter. She spoiled all three animals and sent us timely updates and pictures. The house was left tidy. We will definitely be booking her for future sits!
