“Veronica was incredibly attentive to our pups. Our older dog can sometimes be anxious, but had no problems while Veronica was here - I’m guessing because she felt comfortable and taken care of. Veronica left our place cleaner than when we left. We’d be happy to have her back!”

“Adeline did a great job. Exactly what we asked for. She checked in with us during her stay. Respoinsive when we contacted her. Foxy and Gray Guy were fine when we got home.”

“Emma is the best sitter! Not only did she take great care of my cat, but she also kept me updated on her health issues and how she was doing afterward. I often worry about my cat during trips and have trouble enjoying myself, but this time I was able to relax and have fun. I definitely want to ask her to take care of my cat again”

“Avalon took great care of our two dogs and cat while we were on vacation for a week. She went above and beyond. She took the dogs for separate walks each day. She provided daily updates and pictures, and followed all of our instructions/requests. Avalon also took care of all the bedding and garbage from the week, which is usually chores we take care of after returning home. It was a great help!”

“Kaylee was great! My pups have some special needs and are not the.best rained. Kaylee did a fantastic job making them feel safe and happy. I will definitely look to book Kaylee again!”

“Tayler was amazing! She stayed with Koda, sent lots of pictures/videos, and was very responsive. Thank you, we’ll definitely be reaching out for your services again 😊”

“Kiana is amazing. She immediately bonded with our dog, who can be wary of new people. She took great care of our pup and our house. Her attentiveness helped us to have a relaxing vacation. We will definitely book her again.”

“Lucinda took great care of my three cats during the holidays! One of my cats had a life threatening medical emergency last Christmas, so I was nervous to head out of town, but knew each of my cats and my house were in great hands.”

“Parrish is the absolute best!! She's extremely sweet and did such a great job with our pups! They absolutely loved her! She was even willing to stay until we got home!!! I definitely recommend her as your sitter!”

“Finn loved Natalie! That alone says enough, but Natalie also was great about staying in touch and sending updates and photos. On top of all that, she left my house spotless! Great experience all around!!”

“mackenzie was so great with my dog, she was thorough and proactive in making sure kane would be as comfortable as possible during their time together. highly recommend!”

“Jamie was everything you hope for in a pet sitter. The dogs were relaxed and in great spirits when we got home and the house was spotless. Jamie sent pictures and communicated regularly letting us know how everything was going. We have to French bulldogs that both have daily meds and he kept everything organized and on schedule.”
“Mark was a wonderful communicator and took great care of our senior dog as well as our home. He sent lots of pics throughout the stay and we came home to a house that was cleaner than we left it, and a happy pup! 10/10 would love to work with Mark again.”
About: I have trained my dog as a service animal from ages 14-16. He is able to do tasks such as harm prevention, getting an adult, and deep pressure therapy. He also knows basic commands such as sit, down, shake, roll over, wait, stay, and "all done" I have experience rescuing and fostering a puppy, potty training him and teaching him basic commands. I have a cat and have cat sitted for many years for neighbors. I also took care of my teachers baby bunny in 2018, as she entrusted me out of every student to take care of the bunny, Saturn. As a student currently in community college at PCC, and a future RN, I am busy with school. Thanks to PCC and modern technology however, I am able to do most of my classes online through individual learning. I have no weekly commitments I have to attend, leaving me open to do anything you require me to for your fur babies! Starting in October, I am starting my CNA program which will be full-time but we can discuss the Fall/Winter season in depth if you’re interested! If I am allowed to bring your pets to my home, I have a lovely sprawling 1,000 SQFT backyard with lots of grass and area to run in. I also have my own dog (professionally trained and not a barker) who loves other animals (including cats!) so your baby can play with him if you request it. If not, I can put him in an entirely different area so they won't interact. My neighborhood, Robinwood, is absolutely beautiful to walk around, with a public playground, trails, and a river a block away I can take your dog to if you wish! In your home, I will do what you ask me to, whether its just hanging with your dog outside, feeding them, cleaning up a bit around the house, or just dropping in to say "hi" and get some playtime in. Just let me know!
“Laura is absolutely wonderful! My dog and cat were so well taken care of and my apartment was spotless when I returned. I received tons of updates and photos on how they were doing and they seemed so happy with her. She is super sweet and thoughtful, and I felt completely comfortable leaving my pets in her care. I would recommend her to everyone!”

“Selena was the absolute best!!! Took incredible care of dog and home while we were out of town. We trust her completely, our dog loves her and we can’t wait to have her back!”

“Lisa is an amazing sitter. She is extremely communicative and responsive, and shows a true love for our dog, Carmela. She is very thoughtful and loves taking Carmela out for special trips and treats. Highly recommend!”

“Kelly did a wonderful job taking care of my two pets (dog & cat) while I was away! This was my first time booking with Kelly and from initial request emails, to setting up a meet and greet and throughout the entire stay she was very communicative. I never had to ask for updates as she'd make sure to send them daily with pictures which I always really appreciate. 10/10 recommend booking with Kelly and I'll definitely be booking in the future.”

“Amazingly professional and dedicated sitter. Knowing that she was taking care of our animals and our house really put us at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation without worrying about our animals at all. Her dog Theo is very sweet and got along great with both my dog and cat. Jessie took my dog to a different park or part of the river every day I was gone. Very professional and dedicated she took her job very seriously and went above and beyond. Highly recommend!”

Avalon was absolutely wonderful! She took excellent care of my eight years old dachshund Strudi and the home, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was with her. She was so thoughtful and attentive, and even baked homemade treats for Strudi and left him a sweet little toy that he absolutely adores. It was clear how much care and affection she gave him. I would happily have Avalon take care of Strudi again and highly recommend her!

Hannah took great care of our dogs. She was responsive, responsible, and kept the house very clean. We felt confident that our dogs were safe and well cared for while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We really appreciated the care she put into looking after both them and our home.

Kaylee was great. It was our first time leaving our dog at home for an extended trip. She gave us updates with pictures, took her on walks, took her to the park, everything was in great shape when we got back. She also took great care of our cat. We would definitely use her services again.

Jamie is an excellent pet and house sitter. He is reliable, a great communicator, and thorough. He follows my instructions with minimal need for reminders or oversight. Out of all of the sitters, I feel most comfortable leaving my best friend and house in his hands. Thank you!

Chanel took such excellent care of our dog, Ralph. He seemed a bit depressed to see her go! He loved all the 1:1 attention she gave him, along with all the walks. Chanel sent us the cutest videos and pictures while we were away. I will book Chanel again and again!

Sydney has watched our two dogs twice now, and we couldn't be happier with the care she provides. She's an excellent communicator, keeping us updated while we're away, which gives us so much peace of mind. We always come home to two happy, healthy dogs and an incredibly clean house. It's clear she genuinely cares for our dogs and treats our home with respect. We highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy pet sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Lake Oswego on Rover is $64.81 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,556 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lake Oswego. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lake Oswego walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lake Oswego maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lake Oswego choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
