“Freddie is a special dog who is very selective about the humans he allows in his orbit. He is shy and fearful, it takes him some time to warm up to strangers. Imani did a wonderful job being patient and gentle with him, she provided just the right amount of warmth and fun in his daily play. I came home to a very happy little dog.”

“Robert took care of my five creatures over the weekend. He was very reliable, staying until we arrived home for a pass off. He did well with our dog’s big energy and our cats need for a calm presence. I’m convinced the house is as clean if not cleaner than when I left. He was responsive with updates and photos. He was able to give my cats their meds despite their best efforts to avoid or dissuade him. I will absolutely be reaching out to him again, the next time we need someone to stay with our animals.”

“Erika was a wonderful cat and house sitter! Her communication was excellent from the start - she kept me updated with regular messages and photos, so I always knew how my cat Mitten was doing. I highly recommend Erika to anyone looking for caring and reliable pet care.”

Portland pet parents share their Rover experiences
Natalie was a wonderful and considerate dog/cat/house sitter. Our old dog had a lot of anxiety when our family was gone over the holidays. It was the first time he had a sitter from Rover. He really gave Natalie a hard time, and his hip dysplasia took a turn. Natalie was so caring and great at communicating and coming up with ideas to help him take his meds. She gave us a lot of piece of mind while we were gone.

Elizabeth spent 10 days at our house with our two dogs. She was fantastic in every respect. Lots of communication and pictures. She was obviously great with our pups (they told us as much when we got home) and the house was cleaner than we left it. Highly recommend.

Kyle was great. I was in a bind as I was out of the country and my sitter was allergic to my dogs. I had to find someone to go meet the sitter and my dogs and make the transition without me being around. He showed up on time, communicated well, and gave the girls the attention they needed. When I got home they were happy and healthy which is really all that matters.
Sydney was such an amazing dog and house sitter. She went above and beyond to make our pups feel loved while we were out of town, and even did a little birthday celebration for one of our dogs as we were gone during her birthday. She kept us in the loop by sending lots of pictures and providing regular updates on the pups. We came home to a clean house with all the bedding, towels, and dishes washed, which was such a treat after a long travel day. We’ll definitely use Sydney for dog and house sitting again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an awesome sitter!

Sadie responded very quickly to a request to watch our dog, cat, and house over the holiday, and we had a fantastic experience with her. She is obviously very connected and loving with pets and took the time to come meet them beforehand. She took great care of everything while we were gone and sent us lots of photos and videos. She left the house in great shape and our pets happy and well cared for. I highly recommend her!
Shana and Ryan did a wonderful job caring for our house and our two dogs, Yuki and Malka, while we were away for a week. They were around a lot of the time, walking, cuddling, and keeping Yuki and Malka busy. Our house was in great shape when we returned. We’ll be using them again!

We’ve had Anna watch Pepper (and our house) multiple times now, and each time has been excellent. She is hyper vigilant at making sure Pepper is well-cared for, loved, and played with, all while being very communicative and responsible. Couldn’t ask for better care than from Anna!
