“I recently had to travel out of state and then overseas. Trace was wonderful in tending to my kitty. I loved the Rover cards sent daily which provided updates and photos. She was also accomodating when I realized at the last moment that I needed her assistance an additional day. Very sweet woman and I highly recommend her services.”

“Maya did a great job with watching my cats! She was great at communicating and with her Rover card updates, which I very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend!”

“Molly cares deeply about animals, takes great care, follows direction well, and has very good communication. We are lucky that we found such a great cat sitter!”

“Tayla was fantastic with two shy kitties! She was punctual with daily check-ins and sent updates with plenty of photos to ease my worry. Both cats were happy and well cared for. Tayla was thoughtful with her care and even suggested separate feedings to ensure Oona didn’t go hungry. We hope to rebook with Tayla for our next trip!”

“Evita is the best! my cat is sweet but a crazy little lady and Evita keeps her fed and loved when I have to leave town. Thank you Evita for always taking care of my chunky fuzzball! Marcie loves you!”

“Susan was very prompt in her responses and made sure I felt very secure leaving my precious dog with her. She made sure to go above and beyond taking him for a walk and also bringing my package in from the front porch. Thank you Susan!”

“Evelyn has been so easy and prompt in her communication. Her compassion, patience and training skills have made a wonderful initial impression and we plan to re-book with her!”

About: I enjoy dogs of all kinds, from big to small, chill to active, and shy to rambunctious. I'm currently a proud dog mom to a 9yr old Weimaraner named Winter. I promise to care for your pup just as I do my own, with plenty of love, attention, and patience. I'm a strong communicator, have a solid work ethic, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. My goal is to make sure both you and your pup feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. I'll also treat your home as I do my own: respectfully, clean, and left just as I found it. I'm currently working full time, but love exploring the Portland area and meeting new furry friends. I'll look for walks before/after work and on weekends mostly. I can occasionally take appointments during the day if work isn't too busy. I prioritize safety, routine, and comfort in every visit. On walks, I stay very aware of my surroundings to avoid any unsafe interactions with dogs or people, and to make sure your pup doesn't eat anything they shouldn't. In homes, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, routines, and any special care needs. I aim to keep pets and owners at ease by sticking to their normal schedule as much as possible. I also treat homes with respect and provide consistent updates so owners always know how their pet is doing.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Portland
Jenny was wonderful and I’m very grateful she was able to step in on short notice. She was incredibly responsive and flexible, including making time to meet Momo before I left so we could go through his routine and everything she’d need during the visits. I really appreciated her attention to detail, especially in the visit cards and updates, and it was reassuring to know Momo was being well cared for while I was away. He seemed to like her too! She was kind, reliable, communicative, and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend her and would be very happy to book with her again whenever she’s available.

Clara was incredibly helpful! Very quick, clear, and prompt communication throughout the whole visit. We had a situation where we needed to book one day at a time as we were unsure the length of stay, and Clara was very patient and generous with her time. She went way above expectations in her care and we are extremely grateful. HIGHLY recommend! And will certainly book again
Mary was incredible providing updates and pictures of my dog during both her drop in visit as well as boarding at her place. She also appreciated and followed the specifics in the care instructions I provided ahead of time. I'm very attached to my pup, and I came away from my experience with Mary knowing he was well loved and well taken care. Really awesome.

Max went above and beyond for KitKat! Thank you so much for accepting a last minute reservation and sending an abundance of kitty photos while we were gone. KitKat seemed relaxed and renewed and i think he had a great time with his new friend! 100/10 would book again.

Briana did a great job keeping our cat calm and fed, as the poor thing was living in a house that was slowly being emptied out while we were moving. She was a great communicator, and also very honest in helping me navigate the app so I would not double-book and such. I will definitely be looking for her again when it is time for Trillian to get some care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
