“Camille and Shayla were amazing with my cat, and are very lovely people. My cat is very shy towards new people, and they respected his boundaries. He came out of his shell after a few days of them stopping by. I appreciated their detailed reports.”

“Raven took it slow with Molly on her first visit, gave Molly time to smell things out and wander around the house with her there. Within a short period of time, Molly was all kisses and cuddles with Raven, even got her out for a walk on the first visit. Raven is so patient and calm with hesitant/nervous dogs. She's a bit of a dog whisperer. Molly loves you Raven, looking forward to the next visit 😍”

“Aubrey has watched our cat Wanona for three years now and her care is exceptional. She sends us pictures every time she’s visiting, which allows us to enjoy our time without having to ask about our sweet girl! She is trustworthy, kind, and flexible. I could never gatekeep her — she’s awesome! Thank you again Aubrey!”

“Tayla was amazing! She left detailed notes after each visit with tons of pictures. She was flexible, communicative, and quick to respond to any questions/concerns. My cat can be timid around strangers at times but went up to Tayla immediately. I’d be happy to book her again :)”

“This is the second time I've asked Lucinda to watch my three fur babies. I'm impressed with the quality of care and Lucinda's commitment and communication style. I would highly recommend her. I look forward to working with her again.”

“Absolutely perfect! Came by to pick up keys and meet my cat before my trip and get the layout of where things were kept. She always sent new photos of the visits which was great, I already know I will be working with Evita again for any future trips out of town if I can! Thank you again so so much for taking care of Gaia, she truly loved your company.”

“Just starting using Rover and Colby, my first time. Impressed by the prompt communication, updates, pictures if my dogs. Also, punctual. Thank you!”

“I’ve used Karly now three times as my cat-sitter while away to take care of my two cats, and just recently, for two weeks while out of the country. She’s great!! She makes sure my two babies are well taken care of - she’s gotten to know both of their personalities and tends to both of their needs (one’s playfulness and the other’s snuggles/pets)! She goes above and beyond and also considers me and the house while gone out of the country (by taking out the trash on trash day for example). She’s also a great communicator and I feel at ease trusting her to take care of both my cats and my home while away!”

About: Over 20 years of hands on pet care under my belt. I've been the go to walker and sitter for friends, family, and neighbors across Portland. From energetic malamutes who love winter hikes in Forest Park, to chill cats who want a lap and a scratch. I've handled them all. I know every pup's quirks, keep treats handy, and always come home with wagging tails and happy updates. Reliability is my thing: on time walks, clean pickups, and no drama. Let's get your furry crew out exploring. I am currently doing this part time and enjoy taking care of animals. I am fairly flexible on when I can be available for pet care. I love animals and treat all pets as if they were own. I can tailor to the owner and their pet to make sure everyone is comfortable.
“Emma was amazing! Our cats clearly loved her and she was so great with communicating with us. We felt completely at ease with leaving our cats at home. Would 100% recommend Emma!”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs from ages 4 months to 12 years! I like to learn each animals needs and modify my care for them! I work three days a week and keep an open schedule to care for others’ animals the other four days in the week! I have a flexible schedule and can even help on the days I am scheduled at my main job! I always ask for your preferences for your animals! Whether this includes walk length, treats and food, and even mannerisms, I always want to make sure YOU and your animals are comfortable!
About: At home, I have two dogs. A shih-tzu, toy-poodle mix, named Auggie, as well as a Bernese Mountain dog, Zoey. These two could not be more different from each other, and yet we make it work! With Auggie and Zoey, I've been able to experience caring for dogs big and small, learning about their differences, their needs, and what keeps them happy. I've also been able to teach them several tricks (always a fun pastime), including using a bell to let me know they want to go outside. My family got them both as puppies, so I also have experience learning to potty train, crate train, and walk on a leash. Teaching a puppy can be difficult, but so much fun. I'd love to take care of your dog(s), and you might come home to them knowing something new! I'm currently home from college for the summer, taking extra classes online, so I will have plenty of time to devote to your furry loved ones! I'm available during the week and weekends, for overnight house-sitting or daily drop-ins. Your pets will not be staying at mine; however, while in your home, I will follow all instructions, take care of the space, and leave it clean. I will send photos daily, if not several times throughout the day, and let you know of any issues or questions the minute they arise. Your pets will have so much attention and care given to them, as well as your home, as I am a guest in the space.

About: My name is Sarah and I'm a dog lover. I work full time as a nurse and on my days off I like to be active and go on walks or hikes. I'm excited for the weather to get warmer and for the flowers to start blooming. I love to throw the frisbee or playing tug-of-war. I am also happy to sit on the floor and watch TV or study while my new furry friend takes a nap. I have experience with overnight housesits and also cats if you ever need additional feline care. I currently have two cats of my own. I love to explore new neighborhoods and local parks on foot with a new furry companion. Message me with any questions that you may have!
“I have used Carmen as a petsitter a couple times while I’ve been out of town for a few days. She sent me lots of pictures and was super responsive and I would book with her again”

“Maya was absolutely wonderful! The best sitter I have had using Rover. I never had to wonder if Keno was okay, she kept me informed and provided pictures and information on every drop in. Even cleaned some of the enrichment toys I left. Wonderful sitter, book her!!”

“Both Taylor and Brett were helpful and super on top of taking care of our cats, very professional and thorough with their reports and photos. I felt like our cats were in great hands.”

“Kathy went above and beyond to care for Saydee. We’re so grateful and 100% would recommend Kathy to anyone looking for attentive care for their pet. Saydee enjoyed a very comfortable stay at her house and we were worry-free knowing that she was really well looked after.”

“Susan is a fantastic pet sitter! I had her sit for my three cats and she came over exactly when she said she would. I'm a worrying pet mom and I really appreciated all the photos Susan sent me while I was gone of my happy cats playing with Susan. I would without question use Susan as a petsitter again. She is conscientious and reliable. Highly recommend!”

Homestead pet parents share their Rover experiences
Erin did a great job taking the best care of my cat Olive! Followed instructions, great communication, took the sweetest pictures, and overall good care of my home when I returned. I would definitely book again with Erin, she was wonderful and Olive definitely warmed up to her quick!

We had such a wonderful experience with Gracie as our cat sitter! From the very beginning, she was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared deeply about Vivian. We received regular updates and photos while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind. We highly recommend her and look forward to booking her services again!
Pretzel is usually a little wary of new people coming into our home, but with Catherine, things seemed to click instantly, which says a lot! We really appreciated the pictures and communication throughout. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to booking with Catherine again!
