“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

“Clara is great at communicating in advance when there are schedule conflicts (which have been minimal) and in being flexible when things are different for our schedule. And she loves our pup as much as we do.”

“Raven took it slow with Molly on her first visit, gave Molly time to smell things out and wander around the house with her there. Within a short period of time, Molly was all kisses and cuddles with Raven, even got her out for a walk on the first visit. Raven is so patient and calm with hesitant/nervous dogs. She's a bit of a dog whisperer. Molly loves you Raven, looking forward to the next visit 😍”

“Lucinda was great! She checked in on my cat Buster when I was out of town. He totally bonded with her and she gave him lots of love. The pictures and descriptions of their time together was wonderful. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Carmen was a great petsitter for my cat while I was gone for the weekend! She sent lots of pictures and was really easy to communicate with and quick to respond to texts. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve never let myself go without having a dog. For over 25 years I’ve cared for pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments - puppies through seniors, anxious rescues, and high-energy dogs. Your animal is part of my family while they’re here, not just a guest and I genuinely enjoy having more dogs around, as does my dog! I’m in SW Portland with my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Layla, and I provide you with updates so you can actually relax while you’re away. I work mostly from home, which means plenty of outdoor breaks and consistent supervision throughout the day. My Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Layla, is two years old, easygoing, and great with all sizes — she just loves having a friend around. My kids (10 and 14) are here half the time and are natural animal lovers, so your pet will have no shortage of company and attention. Every pet deserves to feel safe and at home while their family is away, and that’s what I’m here to provide. I’d love to care for yours.
“Susan did a great job taking care of my cat for two weeks. Lots of communications, videos and photos. I would definitely come again and recommend her!”

“Tayla was amazing! She left detailed notes after each visit with tons of pictures. She was flexible, communicative, and quick to respond to any questions/concerns. My cat can be timid around strangers at times but went up to Tayla immediately. I’d be happy to book her again :)”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life! I have the most experience with bunnies, dogs, and cats but can make a connection with any pet. I care about keeping your best friend comfortable and at ease while you’re gone! I am most available on weekends and weekday early mornings before 10 am & evenings after 5pm but can offer additional availability Monday & Friday. I provide a calm and welcoming presence for animals of all types. I will make sure to build a relationship with your pet and be respectful of their space as a sitter. I believe the best animal relationships start with autonomy!

“Justina is fantastic! She has been super responsive and communicative. I feel reassured we found someone who really cares to come look after our pups. Don’t hesitate booking with her!”

“This was my first time using Rover and a dog sitter, so I was a little nervous at first — but Kathy immediately put me at ease! She was warm, professional, and clearly experienced with dogs. My pups were relaxed and enjoyed their time with her. I appreciated the updates and photos she sent, which really helped me relax while I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience — thank you, Kathy!”

“Ryenne did a fantastic job keeping our chatty and squirrelly cat happy while we were away! The house was in fabulous shape when we got back (tricky because our kitty loves knocking things off shelves) and we loved getting so many photos and updates!”

“So grateful Matthew could help watch my place while I was gone. He was conscientious about sending me pics and updates and my neighbor enjoyed his conversation.”

“Ann is wonderful with my crew of 2 cats and a dog! Always reliable and has helped me out when my travel plans shifted due to a flight cancellation.”

About: I get my first dog in 2019 and my second in 2024. I’ve had to administer medications when they have had surgeries. Both of my dogs are nervous so I know how to care for those. I haven’t worked with any other animals but I am willing to learn. I go to school Tuesdays and Thursdays but if needed, I can sit after school after 3pm. I am free every other day and can start boarding Thursday afternoon until Monday night or Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday night. I live in an apartment but I can still walk your dog outside where there’s grass. I do also have a dog who is getting used to other dogs but he is not a fighter. I can also cage one or the other easily if needed. If pet needs to be fed, you must provide the food. I can provide water of course.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have helped to care for them since I was a kid. I’ve helped train my puppy and am often solely responsible for him. I’m a recent college grad of UO (go ducks!) and am wanting to spend my summer outside and being active. I love going to long walks and am always happy to have a dog by my side! I work during the day from noon to 6 on Wednesdays and Sundays so I have lots of free time to entertain and hangout with your pet! I will follow whatever rules and guidelines you have for your house and I am very respectful and thoughtful when I’m in ones house and their spaces.
About: I’m currently the mom of 2 wonderful cats: Najda and Colin Robinson. We all live in a 1,000sqft condo, so we don’t have a lot of room for anyone else, which is why I wanted to work with Rover! I have spent my life caring for animals. Growing up, my moms house was full of cats & dogs, while my dads house had a bit of everything— cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, horses, we even had a llama! Both houses were almost exclusively rescues and we fostered other animals often. While living on my own, I have spent the majority of the time living in smaller apartments with my chihuahua, Winston, and I have fostered many cats and small dogs. 3 years ago, Winston passed sway at the age of 17, and about a year later I adopted my cats. Throughout all of this I have learned so much about animals and what it takes to care for them. I approach every single animal I meet with care and patience, and I do my absolute best to understand their signals and create an environment they will thrive in. I also have a lot of experience with special needs animals, senior animals, multiple different medical conditions (can give medicine and administer subcutaneous fluids), and particularly skittish animals. I work from home, so I can do my work anywhere with an internet connection. Currently, I spend most weekends helping my mom, but I can always move that around. In my home, I give my 2 cats love and attention (on their terms of course, they are cats lol), provide them with a “catified” environment, give them minimum 2 hours of dedicated playtime per day (plus lots of interactive toys), and obviously feed them 3 meals a day & maintain their litter box.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Hillsdale is $20

Victoria is an amazing and very professional dog walker. She was my walker for a few years and I have never been disappointed. She’s a very good communicator and truly cared for my pup, Wilson. Since I have moved to a different area, I was so sad to say goodbye to her but I recommend her to anyone out there! 🐾☺️🙏🏻 Thank you, Victoria!

Liliana was awesome. I was so nervous about leaving my older dog alone. He is a large older dog and very nervous around people and other dogs. She was so warm and welcoming, and he took to her like she was family. Also, she updated me regularly be sending photos and checking in with me. I would highly recommend her to others.

Tina was great with my cat, Nala. She spent time with her playing and giving her loves. Every day I was given updates with pictures of a very content kitty. Nala loved her. My Nala was very happy and content when I returned home. I appreciated the care and love she gave Nala when I was away. I will definitely request Tina when I need a sitter in the future and Nala is totally agreeable with this decision.
Carmen was amazing with Moxie, Riju and Miko! I could tell she genuinely care about them and had so much patience. I loved that she knew exactly how to get my pup to calm down since he can get very excited when seeing someone new. She even went as far as to checking and making sure our ferret was ok and changing his pads.

Christina is simply wonderful in every way. Beyond having an obvious heart for animals, she is honest, trustworthy and kind. She cared for my kitties on short notice while I was out of town and I had complete peace of mind, never thought once about their care, and I am always a little nervous about leaving my 21 year-old cutie (and my shy guy really warmed up to her immediately). If you’re looking for excellent pet care, you don’t need to look any further. I promise you will have peace of mind entrusting your babies with Christina!

Kayley once again did an excellent job taking care of Baja at our house while we were gone for a long evening! She paid close attention to our feisty dog Baja's many care instructions and was quick to ask about one item that I hadn't made very clear. I wasn't able to answer in time and so she made her best guess, which turned out to be exactly right...but she also kindly offered to come back over if her guess wasn't correct. We'll continue to keep Kayley as our first choice for caring for Baja at our house when we're not available!

Max is the absolute the BEST sitter I could have asked for. Thoughtful, communicative, and easy to work with. Went above and beyond for our dog who needed some extra care because of chemo. He also took a lot of initiative and asked if he could do extra things to keep our pup comfortable. I recommend Max to everyone.
