About: I’ve taken care of cats my whole life. From feeding, grooming, play, and more, I’ve taken time to figure out the best approaches to ensure our little living room tigers are cared for. Im currently a graduate student so my schedule is pretty flexible for play dates, feedings, medication delivery or grooming. I have wide ranges of availability to accommodate walking and feeding and play schedules, I work 5 days a week but always make time before during and/or after the work day to spend proper time! About: I've been an avid animal lover all my life. I'm 43 years old and most of my adult life has been around dogs and carts. I've looked after and taken care of many of my friends', family's, co-workers', and even a few neighbors' pets whenever I'm needed to. Although I don't have any professional training, I've grown very comfortable with handling and taking care of animals regardless of my familiarity with them. I've walked, played with, fed, and even given medications for dozens of dogs/cats. My own fur family members have very specific care needs so I truly understand it's importance, especially when it comes to piece of mind when we're away from them. I'm currently a full-time student and am waiting to start at PSU in January. In the meantime, I'm wanting to meet new pet friends and assisting people in caring for their pet when needed. My schedule is very open and can manage my schedule to fit your pets needs. I strive to keep my pet's needs in mind at all times. I respect and understand that every pet is as unique as we are. When caring for my own furry family members, I handle them all very differently based on their needs. Unfortunately, I recently had to say goodbye to my eldest boy. He was 16 years old cat with asthma, hyperthyroidism, and was diagnosed with lung cancer. He had to have 1/2 a pill twice a day for his hyperthyroidism, a liquid oral steroid every 24 ours along with an inhaler every 12 hours. He was a very picky eater so I always had to prepare at tapas style selection of food do ensure he got a good meal. My second eldest also needed medication for hypertension and anxiety which he needed every 24 hours. My youngest needed the least attention but is prone to stomach issues so he's on a special diet. Juggling all of their needs during meal times can get a stressful especially when they all hover around my wife and I while they're waiting to be served but I wouldn't have it any other way. I would gladly extend the same care and attention for your pet family members. At the end of the day, our pets' safety and well-being is our most important task. It's a small price to pay for all the love and joy they give us.
