I’ve taken care of friends’ cats, clients’ cats, and my own cats. I’ve experience with both friendly and shy cats, so I understand that cats often like a little bit of time to get to know me.

I am happy to visit your home and provide the care your cat needs. I have a cat so unfortunately I cannot care for pets in my home. Due to allergies, I can only work in smoke-free homes. Due to safety concerns, I don’t take care of dogs, or cats that live in homes with dogs present at the time of my cat sitting visits, or cats that eat raw poultry (due to avian influenza risk) or aggressive cats. I also cannot accept appointments where people will be present. Entering a home for cat sitting visits with strangers is a safety concern. I also am unable to administer medications unless they can be mixed into their food. Please feel free to reach out to me when you’re ready to do a meet and greet and book! I unfortunately cannot hold my schedule until we know we are a good fit and the booking is complete. Thank you!

We are grateful to have found Gretchen! She immediately connected with our shy cat that hides around strangers. And she handled an ant invasion. We returned home to a cat was happy and relaxed.
Gretchen was great with my cat Cleo on a 4-day trip out of town. She provided photos and updates after each check-in and has a temperament that my very shy and skittish cat was really comfortable with, even enough to play with her wand and get some exercise. Highly recommended!

Our sitter, Gretchen, was reliable and took wonderful care of our cat. Roland is very picky and can be quite scared around people, so we were especially happy to see that he became comfortable with her. My family and I really appreciated the daily updates and photos she sent us. It gave us great peace of mind while we were away, and it was so nice to see our cat looking relaxed and happy with her. Gretchen was caring, dependable, and very good with Roland. We are very grateful for her help and would be happy to have her take care of Roland again. ❤️🐈

- Any medical needs or dietary needs. I have had a diabetic cat and I understand the need for a limit on the treats (that you have selected) sometimes.
