About Gretchen N.

Safety, trust & environment
I am happy to visit your home and provide the care your cat needs. I have a cat so unfortunately I cannot care for pets in my home. Due to allergies, I can only work in smoke-free homes. Due to safety concerns, I don’t take care of dogs, or cats that live in homes with dogs present at the time of my cat sitting visits, or cats that eat raw poultry (due to avian influenza risk). I also cannot accept appointments where people will be present. Entering a home for cat sitting visits with strangers is a safety concern. I also am unable to administer medications unless they can be mixed into their food. Please feel free to reach out to me when you’re ready to do a meet and greet and book! I unfortunately cannot hold my schedule until we know we are a good fit and the booking is complete. Thank you!
Information Gretchen N. would like to know about your pet
Any medical needs or dietary needs. I have had a diabetic cat and I understand the need for a limit on the treats (that you have selected) sometimes.
A typical day
I usually ask the pet owner how the cat likes to interact, how they like attention or play with their favorite toys, if they like to be brushed, and of course, how the owner prefers me to feed, refill the water dish, and clean litter boxes. If your cat is shy, I usually sit on the floor and let them get comfortable with me in their own time.

I understand cats
Cat care experience
I’ve taken care of friends’ cats, clients’ cats, and my own cats. I’ve experience with both friendly and shy cats, so I understand that cats often like a little bit of time to get to know me.
Reviews

Gretchen is the best!! Thank you! Watches our cat and is reliable and communicative!

Gretchen was a pleasure to work with! I’m so glad she was available while I was out of town and I highly recommend her to anyone needing someone to check in on their beloved cat(s).

Gretchen did a great job! Happy healthy kitties when I got home. She even watered the potted plants!

The Squirrels and I very much appreciate being able to count on Gretchen every time we need help. Thank you for being the BEST kitty sitter! 😻😻
