“Sydney was fabulous! She was very flexible and my dog really enjoyed her company. I had a medical emergency and she jumped right in to help with my pup which I greatly appreciated.”

“Maya was absolutely wonderful! The best sitter I have had using Rover. I never had to wonder if Keno was okay, she kept me informed and provided pictures and information on every drop in. Even cleaned some of the enrichment toys I left. Wonderful sitter, book her!!”

About: I get my first dog in 2019 and my second in 2024. I’ve had to administer medications when they have had surgeries. Both of my dogs are nervous so I know how to care for those. I haven’t worked with any other animals but I am willing to learn. I go to school Tuesdays and Thursdays but if needed, I can sit after school after 3pm. I am free every other day and can start boarding Thursday afternoon until Monday night or Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday night. I live in an apartment but I can still walk your dog outside where there’s grass. I do also have a dog who is getting used to other dogs but he is not a fighter. I can also cage one or the other easily if needed. If pet needs to be fed, you must provide the food. I can provide water of course.
“This is our second time booking with Tayla and we couldn’t be more happy. She loves our dogs like her own. She even went out of her way to get them treats. She communicates so good and always puts my anxiety at ease being away from our babies. She seriously is the BEST!!!! We loveeee her and so do our babies!❤️🐾”

“When I return from my trip, my kitties are always happy and healthy! During the trip, great communication and cute photos to let me know how it’s going!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve never let myself go without having a dog. For over 25 years I’ve cared for pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments - puppies through seniors, anxious rescues, and high-energy dogs. Your animal is part of my family while they’re here, not just a guest and I genuinely enjoy having more dogs around, as does my dog! I’m in SW Portland with my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Layla, and I provide you with updates so you can actually relax while you’re away. I work mostly from home, which means plenty of outdoor breaks and consistent supervision throughout the day. My Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Layla, is two years old, easygoing, and great with all sizes — she just loves having a friend around. My kids (11 and 14) are here half the time and are natural animal lovers, so your pet will have no shortage of company and attention. Every pet deserves to feel safe and at home while their family is away, and that’s what I’m here to provide. I’d love to care for yours.
“Susan helped me out when an emergency came up and I had to suddenly extend my trip. She was so awesome with my cats and an even more awesome person for helping out in a really stressful time! We hadn’t even had the opportunity to do a meet and greet and she jumped in to save the day! Truly I can’t thank you enough!!!”

About: I was born into a family of German Shepherd lovers, and grew up primarily taking care of our German Shepherds until about 10 years old when we also adopted cats and labradors. Once I graduated college, I adopted an 8 week old Alaskan malamute, who I cared for his entire 11 years of life until he passed just recently this past January. I am not ready to adopt again, but am missing the presence of dogs in my life and looking to fill that space by helping friends, family, neighbors and members of the community with their dog care needs. I am experienced with puppies, high maintenance animals, and especially with large breeds (my boy was 150lbs at a healthy weight and required at least 5 miles of exercise a day). I am kind, caring, uniquely experienced, energetic and reliable. I currently am taking a break from my career as an executive assistant. I am extremely active during the week, and have plenty of free time in general. I am respectful to how you’d like your dog to be taken care of in your home and out and about, and also have my own set of everything (leashes, crate, toys, beds, etc) if need be. No matter what the need, I am able to discuss, negotiate and accommodate.

“Justina is fantastic! She has been super responsive and communicative. I feel reassured we found someone who really cares to come look after our pups. Don’t hesitate booking with her!”

About: I’ve had fosters alongside my own pets my entire life, and couldn’t be more of an animal lover! I have an extra soft spot for seniors. I’m very comfortable handling big dogs and those that have a hard time with leash training. I’m pet CPR & first aid certified, and have extensive experience administering medications. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I’d love to do a meet and greet with your babies! I promise I will treat them as if they were my own. I have fairly open availability and am happy to be flexible when it’s needed! Caring for pets is second nature to me, whether simple or complex. I have dependable transportation to come to your home and make sure your babies feel well-loved while you’re away. Always happy to send pics, video, and updates.
“Clara is great at communicating in advance when there are schedule conflicts (which have been minimal) and in being flexible when things are different for our schedule. And she loves our pup as much as we do.”

About: Before the days of Rover, I had a makeshift dog-sitting and walking business that I created in Ashland, Oregon while attending Southern Oregon University. The business was successful, but I moved back home to Portland to attend PSU. I have since earned a degree in Psychology and have been working in the mental health field at Providence hospital. In my free time I have been an intermittent pet-sitter for family, friends, and second-degree connections. My services include hiking and day trips in the convertible (roof down if permitted!), helping your pet feel comfortable and content while you're away. I have a kitty along with a long history of taking care of my own pets. I have experience caring for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and pets with special needs. I am comfortable caring for multiple pets in a home and have experience caring for up to 4 pets at a time. I am in a transition period while I get ready to attend a Clinical Psychology doctoral program next Fall. My days are open and dedicated to your fur baby. I am attentive and present while your pet is in my care. They become my priority. I have repeat clients who I do overnight stays for. I build trust with my clients through reliable services provided. I follow instructions well and actively communicate with clients as-needed. I build trust with your pets by providing a safe place for them to have companionship or alone time. I take the time to learn how your pet communicates so that they feel cared for.

“Molly was great! She kept in regular communication and provided updates and pictures which was greatly appreciated. My cat is very standoffish with new people but she came around to Molly and seems to have enjoyed her company and care. Thanks again!”

Hanna did a great job watching my cat! There were a few extremely hot days and my cat is sensitive to heat. She made adjustments, kept him hydrated and ran AC to keep him cool so he got through them ok. He was happy and healthy when I got home. Would highly recommend Hanna to anyone needing a cat sitter.

Danielle is a dog whisperer!! Our little guy, Pharrell usually takes a while to warm up to new people and within 10 minutes he was licking Danielle’s face and just loved her. Sent us lots of updates & photos, which we loved seeing while out of town! Thank you Danielle!!

Emma was so fantastic! She took such good care of our kitties while we were away. She took great photos and gave us very detailed updates, it was really helpful. She was also very accommodating with our schedule and was really great about any changes we needed to make. I would recommend her to anyone 1000000/5 stars!

Alexander is a very reliable and caring pet-sitter. We know that when he is looking after our 3 cats he is doing more than the essential physical care (food, water, litter) and medical needs (pills for 2 cats, eardrops). He is also playing with them and giving them the attention they crave. I can rest easy when planning trips knowing that Alexander will be here for them.

Ash was such a lifesaver, my cat needed a lot of meds after a stay in the emergency vet and Ash helped us immensely with administering them 2x a day. They were very communicative, and so wonderful with my cat who was not very happy about the medication. So thankful for their help and care with my cat!
