“Josh has been walking my French Bulldog and feeding him his dinner for most of this year. He is great with the dog. I can tell by the photos that he is relaxed and happy. Josh has been reliable and flexible.”

“Tiana is great, very responsive and good communication. It's such a relief to have a reliable sitter nearby who can feed and tend to our cats while we're away.”

“I'd absolutely have Carrie watch Tucker again. She responded super fast, was very friendly and communicative, followed instructions perfectly and was just over all really enjoyable to work with.”

“Raven took it slow with Molly on her first visit, gave Molly time to smell things out and wander around the house with her there. Within a short period of time, Molly was all kisses and cuddles with Raven, even got her out for a walk on the first visit. Raven is so patient and calm with hesitant/nervous dogs. She's a bit of a dog whisperer. Molly loves you Raven, looking forward to the next visit 😍”

“Devin was fantastic! Our dogs can be a handful and she was patient and exceeded our expectations while caring for them. Prompt with timing, keeping us updated each drop in and sending pics to assure everyone was well. Will absolutely use Devin again in the near future.”

“Shad is a responsible & kind dogsitter who takes time to make sure our dog is comfortable & gets some enrichment for the day while we are away. Highly recommend!”

“Holly was so awesome with our two cats! This was my first time using Rover and she was absolutely the best. Our first scheduled sitter no-showed to our meet and greet, so I was in a bit of a pickle needing someone available around Christmas just a week in advance, and she came to our rescue. Super punctual, tactful, and on it - will definitely hire her again.”

“Chance was great with my shy boy, who warmed right up to him. He asked great questions in our meet and greet, and I felt confident in leaving my pup with him. Looking forward to having him watch Sab again!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home since I was born. Now I’m raising one of my own, and he’s my soulmate. While I’ve never worked with animals professionally, over my 30+ years of personal experience, I’ve learned the ins and outs, the good and bad, of what it means to love and care for a dog and give them the happy and healthy life they deserve. My desire to give that to any and all animals is a huge part of me. I’ve always just naturally connected with dogs, but I’ve also volunteered at various pet shelters and taken dog behavioral courses. I’ve done pet sitting for numerous friends and family members. Every dog is different, and I’ve found myself to be very in tune to each individual dog I’ve met in order to get to know them and earn their trust. I’d love the opportunity to meet yours! I’m available for drop-in visits and walks. Right now, my open schedule is Monday-Friday during the day, from about 10am-4pm, give or take. I’m generally unavailable in the evenings. For drop-ins, I’d be happy to do feedings and water refills, potty breaks, and of course snuggle and play indoors or outdoors. For walks, we’ll stroll in your neighborhood! Please let me know if your dog has any triggers or sensitivities (loud noises, other dogs, squirrels, humans, etc) and I’ll do my very best to avoid them. I will always take your dog out on a leash. No matter how well-trained and impressive your pup is, I’m just not comfortable with pups I don’t know well off-leash. Harnesses are preferred in addition for large pups.
About: My most recent dog care experience is from my Kennel Technician job and my volunteer work at One Tail At A Time in Portland. I’ve gained experience safely handling dogs with different personalities, monitoring behavior, and helping maintain a clean and safe environment for both animals and people. I also completed Dog and Cat First Aid Training through American Red Cross. My schedule can vary week to week but I will always be available for bookings on Sundays. I have a part-time job that dictates my schedule until September. Each week on Friday new shifts are assigned to me for the following week. I will always update my schedule here on Rover each Friday to reflect those changes. I will send consistent updates, photos, and stick closely to your pet's routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I'm currently accepting new clients for walks and drop-ins, so feel free to message me!
“Checked in on my two cats while I was traveling. Serena found one cat stuck behind the washer and helped them out. Very attentive and quick to respond to the situation, I’m thankful Serena was the one who was there. Great care and communication, definitely recommend!”

About: Whether your dog is food or play oriented, they will not be bored in my home. If you have a fit dog, I may take him for a quick 3 or 5 mile run - if you want your dog to get fit, I can do that, too. Want your dog to improve obedience? Let me show you some tricks and teach your dog a new one, too. I live in the Cully neighborhood of Portland with proximity to two public parks. It will be fun! I am working from home for the last 20 years. I can adjust my day to work with your schedule and your animal's needs. I have a fully fenced, 150ft long yard with grass, bushes and all sorts of exciting things for dogs to sniff. I work out of my office in the backyard and have had my own dog Carlo accompany me for many years until his passing.
“Alyssa was great! She watched our two cats and our fish while we were out of town. Communication was great, she showed up as expected, and was eager to catch some photos to share with us. Would highly recommend.”

Roseway pet parents share their Rover experiences
Laura has been incredible!! When I went back to work in office I was so worried about our pets being home and she’s taken amazing care of our dog each week with walks and now our kitty when we go out of town. Super responsible and genuinely loves animals. Highly recommend!

John took care of everything we discussed perfectly. He was friendly and we're convinced our kitties were happier upon our return from our trip than other times. We appreciate his willingness to give the cats the love and care they needed while we were gone.
