“Kayla is excellent with my kitties! I have four cats with different feeding needs/routines and she accommodated them all. She also provides thorough updates each day and lots of photos!”

“Chance was great with my shy boy, who warmed right up to him. He asked great questions in our meet and greet, and I felt confident in leaving my pup with him. Looking forward to having him watch Sab again!”

“Natalie watched our cat while we were out of town for a week. Her communication was excellent and the daily photos were appreciated. Would definitely recommend her.”

About: Since the day I was born, I always have pets around me. I love cats and dogs and they feel all comfortable with me taking care of them. I’ll treat your pet as if it was mine :) My house has a yard so your pet has space to run and play. My Golden retriever is super friendly with all dogs and cats but if you prefer to have your pet alone, I can have my dog in a separate area while boarding your pet. If it’s a cat you have, they can have their own space for feeling comfy. I have a fenced house. Your dog can be outside for a while by themselves or they can play with my dog, Boo is super nice. At night, they can have their own space to rest ans sleep.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home since I was born. Now I’m raising one of my own, and he’s my soulmate. While I’ve never worked with animals professionally, over my 30+ years of personal experience, I’ve learned the ins and outs, the good and bad, of what it means to love and care for a dog and give them the happy and healthy life they deserve. My desire to give that to any and all animals is a huge part of me. I’ve always just naturally connected with dogs, but I’ve also volunteered at various pet shelters and taken dog behavioral courses. I’ve done pet sitting for numerous friends and family members. Every dog is different, and I’ve found myself to be very in tune to each individual dog I’ve met in order to get to know them and earn their trust. I’d love the opportunity to meet yours! I’m available for drop-in visits and walks. Right now, my open schedule is Monday-Friday during the day, from about 10am-4pm, give or take. I’m generally unavailable in the evenings. For drop-ins, I’d be happy to do feedings and water refills, potty breaks, and of course snuggle and play indoors or outdoors. For walks, we’ll stroll in your neighborhood! Please let me know if your dog has any triggers or sensitivities (loud noises, other dogs, squirrels, humans, etc) and I’ll do my very best to avoid them. I will always take your dog out on a leash. No matter how well-trained and impressive your pup is, I’m just not comfortable with pups I don’t know well off-leash. Harnesses are preferred in addition for large pups.
“Laura was amazing! She was very communicative, friendly and took great care of our cat. She went out of her way to provide exceptional care of not only our pet, but our home as well. Laura also provided many adorable photos for us while we were away. We highly recommend Laura for any pet care!”

“Sarah took care of our dog and our cat wonderfully during our 10-day vacation in Europe. We asked her to drop-in at our home three times daily (morning, noon, and evening) and she showed up promptly and happily, sharing reassuring vignettes and wonderful photos with us during each and every visit. We had backup neighbors and a sister available to cover in case Sarah proved unable, but they were completely unnecessary and happily redundant. We can't praise Sarah highly enough for her care for our pets while we were gone, and we intend to not only confidently continue working with Sarah, but share her with our best friends and neighbors! Thank you so much, Sarah!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs of all kinds (and behaviors/personality types). Have taken care of my own family pets from the puppy years and all the way through their senior years. Animals trust me and making a pet feel safe and comfortable is always my first priority. I’ll be spending as much time outside with your pet as possible (especially if you have a fenced yard). That means lots of walks and lots of play time. I use a harness for my dog since she’s pretty good at slinking out of collars. If your dog also tends to do this, I would recommend a harness for the safest outing possible! I don’t usually take my own dog to dog parks, so please let me know your own comfort level with your pet socializing with other dogs. I am currently a full-time student but my class schedule allows me to check in on your pup throughout the day and let them out as many times as necessary. In a client’s home, I follow any rules set for pets regarding food allowed and spaces they’re allowed/not allowed to be in as well as established routine. To avoid indoor messes/accidents, I’m careful to give puppies lots of supervision and even more outdoor time.

“Kate was great with our two cats! She followed all the instructions carefully and was very attentive to their needs. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos she sent us — it gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’ll definitely be contacting her again to take care of our cats in the future.”

“Emma was a fantastic sitter for my cat, Gigi! She was very attentive and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Dannie is great and my dog has become very at home and her behavior on walks has improved. Dannie provides consistent, reliable care for Raighne and is highly recommended.”

About: I treat our Goldendoodle, Riley, like a human and promise to care for your dog the same! Dogs have a special place in my heart and I believe they should be treated and cared for just like children. I am primarily a stay at home mother of a 4 year old son & sweet Goldendoodle! Although we leave the house at least once a day, we are never gone for more than 4 hours at a time. My son and I take our dog on a walk every day, and make sure he is given multiple potty breaks and stimulation inside as well. I have a fenced back yard and have a child proof lock on the inside of my front door so no dog will ever get loose. I allow dogs to be on the furniture and beds. Our Goldendoodle is great with other dogs. For safety reasons, we can only care for your dog if your dog is good with both children and other dogs.

“Dana was so great to work with. My pup instantly loved her during the meet and greet. I had her drop in to let him out for a potty break mid day. He really appreciated the break and attention from her. Will definitely reach out again in the future.”

“Caroline has been a lifesaver for our family with our chaotic work schedules. She has watched our puppy multiple times and I know I can count on her when needed. She is responsive, flexible, and reliable. We are so happy to have found her!”

About: I've been around pets nearly my whole life. Some were my own (two cats, and a dog), many were roommates', some were on farms I've lived at. Through those experiences I've felt like many a pets' fun uncle. I've walked dogs that are muscular and energetic, but I've also walked dogs that are skiddish and anxious. Many dogs can present a bit of a challenge, but once you try to understand them it really helps you fall into their flow. I find it's very important to let a dog get as much mental stimulation (smelling all the smells) as it is for them to move their bodies. Walks can often be the one thing that breaks up a dog's day so I think they're very important outside of the necessity of them. Cats seem to really like me because I don't feel the need to quickly pick them up, and I like to get on their level to address them. I love playing with cats and letting their inner little tiger come out. I'm currently looking for a full time job and am doing more sporadic gig jobs in the meantime, so my schedule is usually pretty open so long as I'm booked far enough in advance. With all pets I would just like to know what the specifics are for each animal before dealing with them. Pets are just as idiosyncratic as people, and they all have their do's and don'ts, their yums and yucks. So just a quick little download of information will really help me and your pet be able to bond the quickest. If you happen to be there the first time I arrive, that would definitely be a bonus, and always seems to help with a pets trust :).
“Gracie did an excellent job caring for our two cats while we were traveling! She sends us detailed updates about both cats and she is super friendly and communicative. Highly recommend booking her, especially if you need peace of mind while being away from your fur babies.”

“Sofia was great and took care of our dog on short notice. Kept us updated with notes and pictures, and made sure our dog stayed on schedule for food and playtime. Will definitely trust Sofia with our dog again, thank you very much!!”

Alameda pet parents share their Rover experiences
We hired Jasper & Jaydon for house sitting as well as drop in visits for our pup and two cats. They were communicative, timely, respectful, and had quick response time. They sent photos and updates frequently, which brought great comfort to me. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pet care. We hope to have them be our sitter for a long time coming!
