About: I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes, and personality. I have trained puppies before (and even my cat can do tricks) as well have helped care for elderly pets who need extra attention. However, within our first meet and greet with Barry and Shaka we were comfortable, knowing Callie would be in good hands. Barry sent daily updates and pictures everyday. Allowing us to be more at ease on our trip. Communication was great as he was quick to respond and was very flexible with our drop off time, when we were running behind. Barry has experience with senior dogs, he was kind and understanding with all of Callie’s feeding and meds instructions. We could tell, Callie really enjoyed all the smells in the garden and the calm setting. We can’t say enough, other than we are so glad we found Barry and we would highly recommend him.”
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of our lives. I grew up caring for animals by pet sitting dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets while having dogs in my home as well. My partner also grew up volunteering at local animal shelters and had dogs in the family as long as they can remember. We have experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, including puppies, seniors, and anxious dogs. Until recently, we cared for our senior dog with a slew of genetic health issues who has since passed and our current dog has ongoing eye care needs. Because of this, we are comfortable administering eye drops and ointments, oral medications, ear ointments, and we are happy to learn any medication routine your pet requires. Our current dog also came to us completely untrained and not housebroken, so we understand the patience and consistency it takes to help dogs learn new routines. We’re happy to continue potty training and reinforce positive habits while your puppy stays with us. Since we both work from home, your dog won’t be left along for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. Our current dog reads social cues very well and is great at helping new dogs feel comfortable. Above all, we treat every pet like they are part of the family. We know how important it is to trust someone with your best friend and we will make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Pet care is a part of our daily routine. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is always home to provide supervision, companionship, and care. Our dog enjoys 3 walks a day, including 1 longer walk or outing. We are happy to adjust that routine to fit your pets needs. We’re also available most weekends. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly home where dogs are treated like family. We live in an apartment at ground level with easy access to parks and potty areas. Because someone is always home, your dog will receive constant supervision, plenty of attention, and a consistent routine. Well follow your pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, medication routine, and any special instructions to help them feel safe and at home.
