“Susan did such a great job watching our cats! She was a good communicator from our initial contact through the entire time we were gone - quick to respond, thorough, and friendly. She always made time for play and took fun photos. I felt very reassured knowing that she was caring for them. I would highly recommend her!”

“Olivia was amazing at accommodating my last minute changes to my schedule requests. Winston really enjoyed having them home with him while I was away and I will be booking again!”

“Briana took amazing care of my two cats. She was clean, responsive, communicative, and sent tons of pictures and updates. I could tell my cats we’re comfy with her after the first two visits. She also stepped in last minute when I wasn’t able to get home as planned, which was such a huge help. I’m so grateful for her reliability and kindness, and I would absolutely book with her again! 12/10!”

About: I get my first dog in 2019 and my second in 2024. I’ve had to administer medications when they have had surgeries. Both of my dogs are nervous so I know how to care for those. I haven’t worked with any other animals but I am willing to learn. I go to school Tuesdays and Thursdays but if needed, I can sit after school after 3pm. I am free every other day and can start boarding Thursday afternoon until Monday night or Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday night. I live in an apartment but I can still walk your dog outside where there’s grass. I do also have a dog who is getting used to other dogs but he is not a fighter. I can also cage one or the other easily if needed. If pet needs to be fed, you must provide the food. I can provide water of course.
“Julia is great with my dog Brees and takes a lot into consideration when dealing with my anxious pup. She is great with communication and my dog loves to see her when she comes in!”

“Took great care of my place and two kitties while we were away! I'm always anxious leaving the babies but I felt good knowing that Rebecca was taking care of them.”

“Jourdan was fantastic! They were flexible and understanding with my last minute booking and were thorough and communicative and sent great pictures of my cats. I came home to happy and healthy cats who I knew were well cared for! Can’t recommend highly enough.”

About: I’m the go-to dog sitter for many friends/families in my community, and caring for dogs is truly one of my favorite things! I’ve looked after dogs with a variety of personalities, ages, and energy levels, and I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to your dog’s routine, I’ll treat your pup like one of my own. Some of my regular furry friends have recently moved away, so I’m excited to meet new pups and build lasting relationships with both dogs and their owners. I am currently working part-time and on a break before my classes start up. I have lots of flexibility, so please don’t hesitate to ask! I understand that every dog has their own routine, and I do my best to keep things as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special care. I’ll send regular photo and video updates, and I’m always happy to keep you informed about meals, potty breaks, and how your pet is doing. I know how hard it can be to be away from your furry family member, so my goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease until you’re reunited.

“Kamrie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She is one of the first sitters on here that I have really felt heard by :) I have 4 cats, one of which is on oral Fluoxetine and is at a dose that requires tapering, and causes side effects when a dose is missed. One of my main points of concern with choosing a sitter was that they would do whatever necessary (in the realm of their own safety of course) to ensure she gets her daily dose while I was out of town. Additionally, I have a specific way of preparing their meals competes (as there are a lot of cats lol). Kamrie came for a very pleasant meet and greet where I walked through preparing and heating the competes, towel wrapping my med kitty, and a demonstration of how to give her med. She went above and beyond for my kitties <3 Made their meals exactly how I do!! She scooped all 4 of my litter boxes, and cleaned and replaced the potty pads in the pad box (this is the box my anti-litter, med kitty uses mostly, she is a lil mentally challenged in her own way <3). Water bowls were replaced twice a day, boxes done twice a day!! Runi (med kitty) got her medication, their food was made perfect, and she even asked to stay longer one night to give the kitties an extra 30 minutes of play time and care, free of cost <3 Kamrie is an OUTSTANDING pet sitter!! I know it can feel a little uncertain to hire sitters who dont have pages of reviews YET, but she has tremendous experience with caring for animals ❤️ I will definitely hire her again!! Her rates are extremely reasonable too!!! Thank you Kamrie for taking such wonderful care of my babies 💞 I'm so happy to have you in my corner now, and will be reaching out to you next time I need a sitter!!!”

“Hannah was absolutely fantastic! She was peace of mind for my kitties while i was away from home, and sent some really fantastic pics/videos of my babies. They were well taken care of. Will absolutely use Hannah again for when i am out of town!!”

I look forward to meeting you soon! 💕 P.S.: I have a talent for taking truly great photos. 🤩 I have a mostly open schedule and I’m currently looking to meet & spend time with all the fur babies! About: I grew up in a home surrounded by a variety of pets, taking on the role of primary caregiver even as a child. This experience has provided me with valuable skills in caring for my own pets as well as those of friends. Over the past three years, I have turned my love for pet-sitting into a rewarding side job. Since I currently don’t have any pets of my own, my time spent with your pets becomes even more special. I work-from-home with a very flexible schedule! During the week, I’m all about taking your pup on epic walks or having cozy cuddle sessions with your kitty. Plus, many of my weekends are a pet party waiting to happen! My home is ideally designed for pet sitting. It features a clean and tidy environment with plenty of cozy spots for pets to relax. Additionally, large windows allow animals to gaze outside, and I am conveniently located near parks and green areas for enjoyable walks. I am also available to provide pet sitting services in your home if that is your preference.
About: All my life I have been around pets. I’m currently a proud parent of 2 cats. Even the shyest of animals warm up to me very quickly. I am experienced with sitting all types of dogs from German Shepherds to Pomeranians. I have even more experience with cats. I don’t have any human children, as a result all of my discipline and care is reserved for my furry friends. Over the years I have learned how to bring out the best in your pet. I can typically shut down any unwanted behavior. I also love to play with pets because it’s important to keep them active. The only service I can’t provide is sitting at my home due to the cats. I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

I am also happy to sit on the floor and watch TV or study while my new furry friend takes a nap. I have experience with overnight housesits and also cats if you ever need additional feline care. Lucinda has been coming to my home, for an hour once a week, so that my dog and cat will become acquainted with her when she spends 2 weeks with them in October. Lucinda is very calm and patient with my nervous little dog. She always leaves pictures and notes of her visits. Very happy to have Lucinda!!!

Lou is awesome! We were in a spot because our regular boarding fell through right before our vacation, and Lou was able to come in and take amazing care of our dog and cats. Thank you so much for your flexibility and for helping us out! We will definitely book again.
Wow! Allison was amazing. She quickly became 'in tune' with our dogs. She seemed to immediately grasp their temperament and personalities. She also followed our walking and feeding instructions perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend her to family and friends.
Tayla was great with my cat and dog they really liked her from the start and were happy to be left alone with her. She gave lots of photo updates and gave really detailed report cards for each visit so I could know how they were doing. She even made sure my pets stayed in a cool place during hot weather. I would highly recommend tayla to anyone looking for a pet sitter she was fantastic

Pretzel is usually a little wary of new people coming into our home, but with Catherine, things seemed to click instantly, which says a lot! We really appreciated the pictures and communication throughout. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to booking with Catherine again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Portland with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
