About: Nice to meet you! I go by Taylor and I love this job~! I take care of pets of any size and breed. I have especially gotten good with befriending bigger dogs and the "bully" breeds that always end up being the biggest sweethearts of all. I try to be as loving and attentive as I can be, and both my partner and I try to exude the 'cool-auntie' vibe while the parents are away. I take plenty of pictures and if there is a pet friendly event going on nearby I will always try to take the more social-forward pups to them so long as their parents are cool with it! About: I have taken care, as both a dog parent and sitter, of many high energy hunting breeds such as GSP’s and Brittany Spaniels, and understand the necessity of patience, rigor, and consistency. About: I’ve spent many years taking care of my cat. Grew up taking care of a dog and now have a new dog I adopted a few months ago. In addition I have intermittently taken care of my brothers dogs. I am currently on a term break from school so I should be free almost every day all day. When the term starts up again I’ll be free on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, saturdays and Sundays. I will bring toys and treats to play with and engage pets. About: I was raised on a farm in rural Texas so most of my experience is not only cats and dogs but also chickenens, horses and cattle! Older animals have my heart :3 I currently have a bearded dragon! Currently I have no set schedule so my availability is very open meaning I can be with your pets all day. About: I have been surrounded by animals since childhood, growing up on my grandparents’ farm with cows, chickens, pigs, cats, and dogs. But when I was around 8 years old, I was bitten by a trained guard dog that came off the chain in the neighbor’s house, it left me with a deep fear and a stutter. Since then, I’ve been lucky to be part of a vibrant dog-lover community in NYC, where me and my ex-partner would often board dogs, take them for adventures to the beach or outdoor cafe with us, swing by dog run daily even if we didn't walk a pup just to be with the community, celebrated countless dog birthdays, attended multiple dog Halloween parades, and in our group we just always had dogs. Even for the New Years Eve we would often have 5-8 dogs running around the house where we would all gather. I have experience taking furry friends for doctor’s appointments, taking medications, brushing teeth, cutting nails, washing, walking multiple dogs (small and large together), managing pets with anxiety (like fireworks), cared for dogs of all ages, pups and elderly. I am also really good at feeding dogs the needed vegetables, playing fetch, and just catching their moods, needs, and giving unconditional love. I love learning about their personalities and building friendship with every pet I care for. As I moved to Portland 5 months ago, I have been missing my furry friends and community in east coast and I decided that it was time to build a new one. I cannot overstate how great of a sitter Max is. My dog has cancer and requires very specific steps to get her chemo / antibiotics down. Max made it a point to let me know all these steps were followed and even tried new things himself when my pooch was being difficult. He put extra time, thought, and love into each appointment. Truly the best you could ask for.
Amelia took such good care of my baby Chili while I was at work. Amelia is very professional, showed up on time, and sent an excellent update with photos. She is a very caring sitter and I have already requested her services for the future! Thanks so much Amelia.
Peter is great! He is so friendly, reliable, and responsive. He did several drop-in visits for our little dog while we were out of town for a day. He gave excellent updates. We felt totally comfortable knowing our dog was with him. Our dog seemed to feel really comfortable with him as soon as they met. We will definitely use Peter again in the future and will recommend to our friends.
Michael did an excellent job! We chose Michael after doing several interviews. We had to do our due diligence because one of my dogs is LARGE and SCARED. Michael came to our home to do a meet and greet and my dog fairly quickly took to him. She barks out of fear and it can be scary, but Michael was fine with it and didn't escalate her fear at all. After the successful meet and greet, Michael did a test run with my dogs - entering the front door without us, sitting with them for several hours, and leaving before we returned. It went perfectly! He sent me a ton of videos and pictures to show me how they all were doing together. Michael allowed her to figure him out at her own pace and in the end she was napping comfortably as if there was never any issue. My other dog, the traitor, followed him around and snuggled up to him immediately. He earned a 5 star, but I begrudgingly give it because I don't want him to ever be too busy to sit for my dogs!
Margaret has been excellent and I’ve appreciated her stopping by and checking on my dogs while I am at work. We had moved up to the area a few months ago and it was wonderful to have her hang with my boys. Dependable and friendly. Always sent photos and updates.
