“Alyssa is so kind and thoughtful. We can tell that Tommy loves her in the videos and he doesn’t take to everyone! This is our second time using Alyssa and we will certainly use her again!”

“Marisa was awesome. We were on a week long vacation and had her come visit our 3 cats for 30 min a day. She took great pictures of them every day and communicated with us when she would be arriving. 10/10 would book again, this is the best cat sitting experience we have ever had. Thank you, Marisa!”

“Alexis did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties. She was very thorough and followed our directions perfectly. She gave me a great peace of mind that our cats were being taking care of while we were out of town. I'll definitely use her again in the future.”

“Haley was a lifesaver and jumped right in after I had another sitter fall through. One of my very shy kitties actually let Haley pet her and get close to her. It seems like my kitties really liked her and were doing so well when I returned home from my trip.”

About: I’ve spent years caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs who need structured walks as well as senior pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. I also understand the importance of routine, medication schedules, feeding instructions, and recognizing changes in behavior that could indicate stress or discomfort. ∙ Lifelong experience around dogs and cats ∙ Comfortable with large and small breeds ∙ Caring for multiple dogs at once ∙ Leash walking and harnesses ∙ Administering oral medication ∙ Puppies/kittens/senior pets ∙ Anxious or shy pets ∙ Maintaining feeding schedules ∙ Crate routines ∙ Potty training reinforcement ∙ Cleaning litter boxes and accidents ∙ Fresh food diets/special feeding instructions My schedule allows me to provide dependable care and consistent updates throughout visits and walks. I do my best to accommodate routine schedules and special instructions whenever possible. I make sure pets feel safe and relaxed while keeping their routines as normal as possible. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and always make sure doors, gates, crates, and feeding areas are secured before leaving.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for friends, family and neighbors. I also have volunteered at a local dog rescue, and I would walk dogs. I also volunteered for a cat shelter where I would clean and assist in enrichment activities for the cats. I am currently working a remote part time job. I have plenty of flexibility and am also an early riser. My job is flexible, and I am able to flex my hours. I always ensure that I sick to mealtime schedules and enrichment times. I will also support crate training and potty training, if needed. Making sure that your pet is supported based on their individual needs is important to me.
“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

About: I love animals so dearly but I have none of my own :( let me care for yours as I have other animals for years! I work online remotely, and I take mostly online college classes. I have a reliable way of transportation and I’m available pretty much all the time! I can feed pets, give them minor medication, take them on walks and to dog parks. I love to play with animals and I can assure your pet to have a great time!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats growing up along with a few non traditional animals. My current pup is my world and I treat her like my child as she is one of my main priorities. I’ve always said “if you respect them they respect you”, and that is my philosophy which has never let me down. I look forward to meeting all of your furry extended family members! I currently work from home 5 days a week and am available for walks during am/pm with endless potty breaks in between. I have a dog park next to my apartment as well as a back yard which allows for your pet to get fresh air and stretch I have one small pup who loves to play and super friendly with other small/medium dogs. I like to give them space to play, let out energy and I do provide snacks if approved by owner of course. Pets will be able to roam freely unless I leave the house. I prefer if pets are crate trained and are accustom to it. Pet is allowed to relax on furniture and I allow plenty of cuddles and or space if they prefer it. Play time is also a must!
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life: dogs, cats, lizards, fish, etc. Sadly, I found out as an adult that I am allergic to cats. It just means I get to love on dogs even more! I am a suburban single gal who works full time and is looking for a joyful way to spend my off hours! I’m hoping taking care of your loved one(s) brings us both the comfort and peace it can! I am more than happy to care for your animals in their own home to make sure it is an easy process for all. I can provide feedings and walks/exercise and of course, a lot of love! Happy to stay at your house overnight as well.
“Ryan is new and we don’t have the easiest routine with our 3 cats. Two are seniors with special diets and we have a young Maine Coon who is not interested in his own food but is interested in muscling in on one of our other cats’ food. There’s a lot to juggle! We appreciated his questions as he navigated his way through the craziness and he also was very good about asking before there were any deviations, ie bringing someone with him, etc. I’ve been out of town working for a few weeks, so I didn’t notice that I wasn’t seeing check-ins and outs or photos. But again, since he’s new, it’s probably not automatic, so something to keep in mind for future bookings with others. Again, our household is not the easiest, but he did his best to accommodate our craziness, which we appreciated.”

About: Hi! My name is Fayth and I’m 22. Growing up and throughout my life, I’ve cared for dogs and cats who have very different personalities and needs, including Brownie a Pomeranian-Poodle mix, June a German Shepherd, and Luckie a Gray American Shorthair. Caring for both types of animals taught me how important it is to understand each pet’s unique energy level, routine, and personality. As a full-time dental assistant, I’m dependable, patient, and detail-oriented, and I bring those qualities into every pet care experience. I love staying active and spending time outdoors, so whether your dog or cat enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having a companion around, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to provide the same care and attention I would want for my own pets. I’m currently available part-time on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and would love the opportunity to care for your furry family members! 🐾💕 I am currently working as a full-time dental assistant Monday through Thursday, and I’m looking for part-time pet care opportunities on my days off. I am available all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and I’m flexible with timing during those days. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I dedicate my weekdays to work and enjoy spending my weekends providing attentive, reliable care for animals. I prefer to provide pet care in clients’ homes, where animals can remain in a familiar and comfortable environment. This helps reduce stress and allows them to stick to their normal routines, surroundings, and sense of security while their owners are away.

About: I was in doggy-daycare for a short time and that job gave me a lot of experience in handling dogs in a confined setting plus managing multiple different routines. I now walk dogs part-time as well as do "almost overnights" where I walk, feed, and/or spend time with dogs and cats for up to two hours. I have owned thirteen cats in my lifetime so I'm extra familiar with feline behaviors. I also have experience with reptiles and birds! I am currently working part-time as a dog walker/pet-sitter. I am hoping to fill out my days by adding appointments to both the early mornings and late afternoons (after 2 or 3pm). I am able to adjust my job hours to accommodate regular, either daily or weekly, appointments given two weeks to start. I am not available before 11am on Tuesdays due to personal reasons. I understand that your home is also your pet's home - it's their safe place. I try to respect their boundaries and adhere to their routines to make them feel as comfortable as possible while you're gone. I will feed them, walk them, and/or play with them depending on their needs. I am unable to have pets be in my home due to my own pet's anxieties.
About: I've have cared for my own cat and labrador retriever. This includes administering medication oral, and injuries on paws. I have also babysat cats and dogs for neighbors, this included giving high care and spending quality time. Lastly, I have volunteer as a caregiver for cats at a shelter. I have learned to read cats body language and monitor them when they seem unwell. I take care of my labrador retriever and cat. Currently I have a part time job but I have open availability on weekdays and weekends. I care for clients home and pets like it's my own. All animals will be treated with high care and monitoring as well as homes. I want clients to feel comfortable with daily updates!
About: I am dedicated to the well-being of your pet. I pay attention to detail and will follow your pet's plan to ensure their safety while in my care. I have a full-time job and am typically unavailable between 7am-4pm during the week. I am available most weekends to walk or care for your fur babies. Starting mid-June, I will have more availability during the day. I care for pets by following the plan provided by the owner. I provide time for play, exercise, and rest. When in my care, your pet is my top priority!
About: I have had dogs growing up my whole life. When I went out on my own, I adopted a dog (see my profile). He passed after 14 years. He had many challenges: reactive, aggressive towards other dogs and people, etc. I got to have the experience of loving a dog that was hard for others to love. I also gained experience of caring for a senior animal at the end of his life. I currently am a special education middle school teacher in a school that is close to my home. This means that I do work full time. I currently do not have any animals in my home. For the dogs that need a potty break every 4 hours, I am able to accommodate that into my schedule due to my work being so close to home. I have experience with giving meds to dogs, or sticking to specific diet restrictions. In my home, dogs will be allowed on my couch and bed. My apartment community is very dog friendly with walk ways throughout the grounds, along with dog waste disposal bins. I only allow up to two dogs in my care at a time, unless it is a larger animal, then it will only be one. I am not yet ready to get a new dog after the passing of my own, but I have so much doggy love to give that I thought this could be a way to do it!

About: I have experience with feeding, walking, and cleaning pet-related messes. I regularly watch my grandparents cat and grew up with dogs in my home. I have stayed overnight with a friend’s dog for more than 2 weeks at a time and handled walks and feeding at scheduled times. I’m currently working 1-2 shifts per week at my part-time job. I have plenty of free time and am able to spend as much time as is needed with your pet. I enjoy caring for pets of all personalities. I love walking, playing, and snuggling with animals, and am happy to provide whatever care they may need.
“5/5 Jeannine was amazing. We hadn't ever used Rover before but this has been a great experience. Jeannine did fantastic and went above and beyond what we had asked, and always had great communication and took lovely photos of our dorky kittens. We will be calling on her for all of our future kitty sitting needs ?”

Working with Michelle was great, she's very kind and her love for dogs is exactly what you want when asking someone to take care of your dog while you're away. She was on time as per the schedule for our dog and sent wonderful update pictures. You could see from the pictures that our pupper had a wonderful time and trusted Michelle. I highly recommend her services!

Elizabeth was so wonderful! She responded in a timely manner, was considerate of our home, flexible with changing visit times, and most importantly, she took great care of our frenchie, Oakley! I loved seeing the pictures of him playing and going on a walk, he looked like he was having so much fun!! He was in great hands with Elizabeth as his sitter and I’ll definitely be booking her again!

Camille is so great! I’ve needed to use her multiple times, super last minute, when my work or kids schedule take me out of the house longer than expected. She was great entertaining my dogs for a bit while my housekeeper was working and they had to be shut in the guest room during the cleaning. Thank you Camille!!

Hannah was a wonderful pet sitter for my pet family. She cared for our dog, two cats and 5 chickens while we were out of town! She also brought in the mail, picked up the dog poop and walked the dog. She gave updates each day with photos, and we greatly appreciated it! Will use her again in the future!

Sara was an absolute treasure. I always am clear that cameras are everywhere in my house. I can tell you these things as facts as I witnessed them: - Sara is warm and loving. My dogs are big and sometimes scare others, but are gentle giants. Sara was sweet and offered lots of love and cuddles. - Sara actually uses all her precious time to PLAY with your pets. I have had sitters that mindlessly scroll and just sit on their phone. Not Sara. She even tried to have my grumpy senior boy play, and got him to wag his tail and join in on the fun. So sweet!! - Sara is not only on time, but early. Many times I’ve had late sitters and my babies are on a schedule. Always breaks my heart when I am away. Not with Sara! She was eager to help. - she provided pictures and updates! She even asked if we had any treats for the fur babes. The consideration and care is next level… I will use no one else. I trust no one but her and I know my fur babies look forward to spending time with her next trip I take. Look no further y’all; she is SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
