We booked Heather to watch our Alaskan Malamute, Paisley, during our extended 2 week vacation out of the country. From the first meeting, Paisley warmed up to Heather, and their second meeting about a week prior to our departure was just as successful. We left detailed instructions for her care and feeding, as well as explaining our home light timers, etc. since Heather would be staying in our home during our absence to take care of Paisley as well as any other issues that arose. We never hesitated entrusting our home or our precious pet to Heather, somewhat unusual for us trusting a total stranger on both accounts. Throughout our trip, Heather sent is frequent updates and pictures of Paisley, and we felt very comfortable they were getting along so well. Upon our return, Heather left our home immaculate, and Paisley was happy, healthy, and excited to greet us, though I'm sure she wondered what happened to the person she was playing with and walking with every day. We would not hesitate recommending Heather to any of our fellow pet owners knowing they would have a competent, professional, caring person insuring the safety and well-being of their own pet.
Heather is always prompt, she is great about communicating with us, and she is very loving with our dog! We all love Heather!
Heather was great to communicate with. She was incredibly accommodating with scheduling the meet and greet as well as the actual stay, and I received several updates each day. I came home to a happy pup and a clean house! I also appreciated her willingness to water my outdoor plants. Id be happy to book with Heather again in the future.
Heather was an attentive sitter who didn’t hesitate to take on my little blind girl who is pretty needy. She sent pictures throughout the day which was very reassuring. She will be my sitter of choice in the future. Thank you, Heather!
We had our second drop in with Heather that went so great!! Oliver and Bailey have warmed up to her so quickly and love seeing her. They are always so happy in all of the videos and pictures that are sent and are so happy when we get back home. Cant express how thankful I am to have found Heather 😊 looking forward to future visits!
Honestly the best experience I could have asked for and more! Heather did drop ins for my two doodles, and we already have another scheduled with her. She is so incredibly thorough, very responsive, sent lots of pictures and videos and I know Oliver and Bailey loved her! My husband and I have found it hard to trust someone with our dogs, but Heather made it so easy to. Can’t recommend her enough and will continue trusting her. 😊

I care for pets in their own home, where they are often most comfortable and regulated. I have past experience as a pet owner with both dogs and cats, and I have also gained strong hands-on experience through Rover with a variety of temperaments, ages, and breeds. I pay close attention to behavior, comfort, and any signs that something may need your attention, and I communicate clearly if I notice anything new or concerning. For safety, I may decline bookings involving known aggression depending on the situation and my comfort level.
A typical day
I believe good pet care starts with reading the animal in front of me and following the routine they already know. I enjoy engaging pets through play, movement, and connection in ways that fit their temperament and energy level. I also give animals time to acclimate so they do not feel overwhelmed by a new person in their space.
