“Taryn is absolutely fantastic!! I knew from the meet and greet that it would be a great fit bc of how clearly and confidently she asked my pup to sit before receiving a treat. she gave super detailed notes of her visit with my anxious, senior pup Billie and took lots of photos and a cute video. she talks to my pup exactly like I do (the high pitched baby talk, my diva needs it) 😭🙏🏼 she has great attention to detail and followed all care instructions to a tee. I can tell from the photos of Billie that she was relaxed and I'm sooo grateful. this was a last minute hour long check in and I'm definitely going to book with Taryn again.”

About: I never remember a time I was not wanting to be around or take care of a animal around me. I have had my cat since she was a little baby (found her in a box!) and she is now 17 years old! Her and I have been through so much together and she is absolutely my best friend and everyone in my life knows her. We have our own language & there is nothing I wouldn't do for her. I volunteer my days off with rescue dogs and work with them so they can hopefully find their forever home. I have been around almost every dog breed as I used to work at an animal shelter and now volunteer with specific dogs in need. I have been known to rescue cats.. although I have not been able to take them in over the years, I have rescued a few stray cats and found homes for them. Anytime my friends/family need someone to take care of their dog/cat while away.. I am the one to call. I am extremely patient and have always felt connected to animals. I am extremely dependable, time efficient, and very active. I understand the importance of taking care of your animal, as I would expect the same of someone to take care of mine. I currently work full time in dental in Lake Oswego, but have three days off a week including weekends open for pet care and helping you take care of your fur babies! I am very used to being around animals who have anxiety, feel down, scared and confused. I do everything I can do make a dog/cat feel as comfortable as they can while their parents are away. I understand how important it is to make your animal the number one priority and there is nothing else that matters to me than when an animal needs me. I currently have a 17 year old cat. She has to have ear drops, medication for her kidney disease, and she has very long hair as both brush together. She is very sweet to me, but spicy with others as she has been the only one her whole life. I am very comfortable and can understand when a cat asks me to leave it be for a minute or needs to feel me out before being comfortable. I also hold the Fear Free Certification. A course taken to understand cat and dog behaviors, how to approach a situation, and how to care for animals as best as I can to make them comfortable and cared for.
“Andi did an amazing job with our very shy cat (who had bolted at the planned meet&greet)- charming him down from his hiding places and getting him comfortable - purrs and cuddles all around. Thank you! we'll certainly look for you next time we have to travel. And she's a much better cat photographer than we are.”

“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

“Kelly took such good care of my senior dog who was recovering from surgery and she checked in every visit and sent photos so I didn’t have to worry about him. So grateful for her help!”
“We have had Lindsey come watch our pets multiple times. She always communicates with me and has always had really great availability. As long as we live in Lake O, Lindsey will always be my first choice to watch our fur kiddos.”

“I had to leave for a few days for a work trip, and I was extremely anxious about leaving my little-old-man of a cat home alone. I wanted somebody who I felt was reliable to check in on him and to be available in case of an emergency. Anna was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to my pet's needs. She did a great job and gave me some much needed peace of mind for my trip.”

“Whitney is incredible! She dropped in to walk our two dogs twice a day while we were out of town. She was very thorough with her check ins and I felt great leaving them in her hands. Would highly recommend Whitney!”

About: Loved and cared for my dog for 15 years but she has sadly passed; I also regularly dog-sit for friends. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and enjoy taking them for walks, on hikes, or playing at the park. I work well with any type of dog personality, high energy or shy. Whether your dog just needs a stop in visit or a walk, I will spend my time bonding with your pet and making sure that he/she is comfortable around me. My goal is to make a new furry friend and give it the attention and love it is missing while you are away from home! I will provide endless amounts of belly rubs and attention; it probably brings me just as much happiness as it does your pet! I can guarantee at least one really cute photo of your pet (most likely more) :)

“Jennifer is awesome. She has patience with our small jrt dog and we really appreciate her. She really cares about the pets she takes care of and we are grateful to have her as our pet sitter/walker. She gives detailed reports and sends many photos which put us at ease.”

“Matthew did an amazing job coming by our house to check on our cat and gather our mail. He contacted us with updates on how everything was. Would definitely have him house sit again in the future.”

“It was great to work with Leandra. She came through on short notice. It was clear from the photos she sent that the dogs loved her. We have just rebooked a handful of additional drop in and house sitting dates.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for animal care. I’ve had both dogs and cats my entire life, caring for breeds of all sizes; from small companions to large, high-energy dogs. I also grew up on a farm, where I was surrounded by and responsible for a wide variety of animals, that gave me a strong understanding of different temperaments and needs. I’m the go-to pet sitter for my family and friends, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also have hands on experience working in veterinary clinics, including administering medications and supporting animals with different health needs. Above all, I truly love what I do. You can count on me to provide a safe, attentive, and loving environment where your pets feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away. I work full-time during the week, so weekends will typically be my only availability. Sundays are my preferred days, but if you need me during Saturdays just message me and I can make it work! I always treat other peoples homes with respect! I understand how scary it can be for pets to meet new people, so when caring for them in someone else’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise and meet their needs. I keep your home clean and tidy, and happy to provide photos and regular updates!

Lake Oswego dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jessica is amazing! She's been so patient with my 1yo stranger danger issues and so kind to my old boy who needs a little extra help here and there. She's also been very communicative on any questions or concerns, and has not once come across as annoyed at my near daily texts while I'm adjusting to have someone care for my pets. I hope to keep her around for a while.

Melissa did a great job stopping by to let our dogs out to go potty. She was prompt, friendly and resourceful when needed. We felt safe and secure having her at our house when we were not home. We are rebooking her for a trip in June. I would recommend her for your pets needs.

This was our first time working with Rover and it was a great experience! Melissa lives very close to us and she took such great care of our Bear! She updated us at every visit and included lots of photos before and after their walk. This was his first time staying at home overnight after 9 years and it went very well! We’ll definitely ask Melissa to come back!

Sydney is the best! She has been working with our new puppy Pop, doing drop-in visits for us during the day when we are working. She goes above and beyond with him, and has even started teaching him basic commands like sit. She is punctual, responsible, trustworthy and knowledgeable about pups of all ages. We are so glad we found her, and would highly recommend her!

Savannah is very professional and punctual, there is special care that is given to all the details that make your pet your pet, the little instructions that youve worked so hard to cultivate in your dog like sitting before the door opens are respected with a sitter like Savannah. Will definately be booking again.
