Our pup went 2 days and came back both days a bit overwhelmed, exhausted and especially on day 2 he was stinky and scratched up. As a one year old he may not have been able to hold his own with the larger older dogs. It seems to be a great place for larger dogs, but even my 80lb Ridgeback was overwhelmed and may have been out muscled. He tends to play hard and get clumsy. Will certainly consider in the future for booking.”

My two cats are submissive to all dogs and usually do there own thing I’m a stay at home working artist. All dogs I accept , I treat as part of the family . I am available all day to feed, socialize and get fresh air for your dig I feed dogs in seperate areas. Socialize together. And walk together. Let out together or when needed. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: We can offer discounts on stays longer than 4 days. We do not offer them on holiday stays. Your dog will be loved and cared for as if it were my own dog Elijah! They will have all of the ear scratches and belly rubs it could ever want. Ours is an all girl home so if your dog has a fear of men then the fur baby would be content here. We do have cats so your dog being cat savvy is a must. Our animals are welcome to sleep with us in our beds and yours would be too if that is something they are used to. We are also not fans of kennels and do not use them with our own animals, but can if you prefer your dog to be in one. We are willing to go above and beyond for your fur baby to make them feel right at home while you are away. Also know that the prices are not fixed. If your dog is under a year and is house trained it gets the adult price. About this sitter: I am willing to watch your dog in your home to make your time away from your animal easier on him/ her. Keeping your dog in it's natural environment can ease the strain on your dog(s) and prevent stress caused by separation. I hope to help your dog(s) feel comfortable and happy while you are away. “Peter and his wife are exceptional. We did a meet and greet before hand for a longer sit, and they also accepted a shorter notice sit for me as well. Our pups got on great, and I had so much peace of mind while I was away. Truly wonderful and will absolutely be using them again.”

“Manisha and her family did a wonderful job watching Spencer! She was very communicative and quick to respond. I had last minute plans and she was very flexible to work with me. I was sent lots of photos and updates, as requested. During drop off, Spence willingly walked back with Manisha, which he usually never does at daycare. I could tell her and her family loved him like he was their own. I will definitely be booking Manisha again and recommend her to anyone looking around!! Spencer was also given a very sweet gift :)”
