About: i Ihave cared for multiple puppies and senior dogs. My personal dog is socialized and friendly. My two cats are submissive to all dogs and usually do there own thing I’m a stay at home working artist. All dogs I accept , I treat as part of the family . I am available all day to feed, socialize and get fresh air for your dig I feed dogs in seperate areas. Socialize together. And walk together. Let out together or when needed. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

“Puck loved staying with Jami! He really enjoyed the trips out and all the attention he got. Jami was great about sharing updates on how Puck was doing and we got multiple photo and video updates daily. I was a little worried that he may not want to come back home, but he was glad to see me and returned home exhausted and maybe a little spoiled. We will definitely book with Jami again.”
