“Bea is amazing! She took care of our cat Ellie with very short notice and did an unbelievable job. You can tell she cares immensely for animals and it really showed. We felt in such good hands with leaving our cat with her and would absolutely use her again!”

“Megan took amazing care of my cat, Bean, while I was away. She was always on time and Bean seemed to really love having her there. Great photos and communication too! Will definitely book again.”

“Orion is the best! We needed to adjust our dates and they were totally flexible...our dogs absolutely loved them and the photos were so fun! Already looking at dates to have them back!”

About: I have been a pet sitter for cats and dogs -- My friends tend to rely on me to take care of their furry friends while they are away! I have more experience in working with medium and smaller dogs/ cats. If you will hire me to be a sitter, I will not stay at your house, but I will make sure your furry friend is doing great! I am currently a full-time worker at a physical therapy clinic, but my evenings are free to give your pup a good walk so they can sleep through the night! If they are not looking for a long walk, I am great company and enjoy caring for your furry friend. I have guinea pigs at home, and although I am busy during the day, I find time to take care of them and make sure their enclosure is clean and livable. -- When caring for my friends' furry pets, I make sure that they are receiving what they need when I am there, leaving them as comfortable as possible, and updating my clients on what I did and how their furry friend is doing. Communication is key to my work.
About: My love for dogs goes way beyond just having one of my own. I’ve been a proud dog mom to Izzy, my sweet 65 lb companion, for nearly 7 years. Most recently, Over the years I’ve also cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes for friends and family, from tiny lap dogs to large breeds, so your pup is in experienced, loving hands no matter their size. I also have experience with reactive dogs. I treat every dog like my own because that’s genuinely just how I’m wired. Pet care fits naturally and genuinely into my everyday life. My schedule is built around flexibility and routine - which is great news for your dog! I’m available early mornings, midday, and can accommodate late evening needs after 7:30 PM so whether you need a morning walk before work or a midday check-in, I’ve got you covered. Dogs thrive on consistency and presence, and that’s exactly what I can offer. Your pup won’t just be a booking on my calendar they’ll be a welcome part of our day. Before any walk, I take a few minutes to connect with your pup and let them get comfortable with me no rushing, no stress. I believe a relaxed dog makes for a better and safer walk for everyone. I stick to dog-friendly routes through our neighborhood and nearby parks, always keeping your dog leashed and under close supervision. I’m experienced with both small and large breeds and know that every dog walks a little differently, some need a leisurely stroll, others need to burn some serious energy, and I’m happy to match whatever your dog needs that day. During every walk you can expect: • A safe, attentive walker who treats your dog like my own • Updates and photos so you know how the walk went • Plenty of sniff breaks because that’s half the fun for them! I genuinely love dogs and it shows. Your pup will come home happy, tired, and well cared for.
“Second time asking her to come and look after our 3 cats!! They like her & we don't have to worry about them when we go out of town. Thanks again for caring for them 😊”

About: My friends and family and friend's and family's dogs are all happy when I take care of them. I have a calm energy that will put your pet at ease, but I'm also actively observant and ready to intervene in those rare circumstances requiring it. I do part-time software engineering on whatever schedule I want, thus I am available to take care of your pets any day of the week. Every pet has their own needs, and I aim to provide anything and everything that makes them happy. Photos and videos from every visit, no charge!

“Allison was easy to work with and took taking care of our kitties very seriously. I appreciated the questions she asked about care prior to the visit, as well as the updates she provided while she was dropping-in on them. Our normally shy boy was nudging her for rubs by the time she was done with the drop-in! I would absolutely use her services again in the future.”

“Mark took great care of our dogs while we took a quick weekend trip. They got to stay in the comfort of their own home while he checked in on them. Our dogs seemed to really like Mark and we look forward to using him again! ”

“First time user of Rover and we love it and the reason is because Cedric did a great job. We received pictures and updates of our pets and they offered them pats and attention. We will definitely be booking our pet care with Cedric.”

About: I did Rover for a year and a half when I lived in Indiana with my Roomate. Now that I’ve moved to Portland I wanna continue the experience. I love getting to provide great and individualized care to the cats that make you love so much! I work full time from home starting at 6am every morning so I will be up early with your cats and around all day for them! I have an apartment with one Roomate. The cats will have full reign through the apartment and I will be around to take care of any individual needs your cat may have!
“Our dogs love Malik! It’s amazing to be able to take a weekend off and know our pups will be happy and well taken care of. Malik is our to go to dog sitter and I’m sure our dogs can’t wait to see him again.”

About: Hi, my name is Jacqueline and I grew up in a poor family on a small hobby farm in the middle of the woods at the base of the Adirondack mountains of central New York, and so I am well-versed in caring for a wide array of pets, to include an assortment of small wild animals the barn cats brought us still alive, and some basic natural remedies as we were recalcitrant to call the vet for anything other than an absolute emergency. Dogs, cats (both indoor and outdoor), rabbits, birds of all sorts, donkeys, horses, lizards, etc. I joined the Marine Corps out of high school and spent 10 consecutive months in Iraq where I learned basic emergency care and how to maintain a calm demeanor in all kinds of highly stressful situations. I love all animals and having been a dog owner who liked to travel, I know how important it is to have someone knowledgable and can handle a stressful situation with calm and ease. I am also very active and happy to take your pet for a run in addition to walks if they are the sort who would benefit from that sort of thing. I also have a way with notoriously shy cats, which I almost didn't put down because I don't want to jinx it, but it is true. I am currently traveling, and working online part-time, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I prefer to be somewhere that is close to public transportation or includes a bike or use of a car or something similar as my current vehicle is a bit large and I'd prefer to leave it at my friend's for now. I do not provide boarding services as I am traveling at the moment, but I am happy to come stay at your place with yours, during which I will adhere to the schedules and protocols in place to keep your animals safe and happy.

About: I just loves dogs and cats and am looking to make a bit of extra cash on the side. Weave a cozy house, fenced yard and a loving labradoodle in the mix and you've pretty much got the whole picture. I work from home 100% of the time so I can be with your good boy or girl as much as possible. Our dog is 8 and enjoys playing in our yard, walks and going to the dog park. We also like having chill days just cuddling on the couch and relaxing. I am a solid communicator and will provide you plenty of updates along the way. My husband and I work fully remotely and are home every day. My schedule is also very flexible so there's plenty of time for walks and going to the park near our house. I have a fenced yard that is very secure and the road we live on is not major, so there isn't a ton of traffic to worry about.
Maywood Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
I can’t say enough good things about Maria. From our initial meet and greet to the very end, Maria was reliable, communicative, and clearly passionate about dogs. Maria took the time to understand Willow’s routine, personality, and needs, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received detailed Rover Cards and lots of lovely pictures of Willow. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and truly kind with animals, I would absolutely recommend Maria without hesitation. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Amy’s great! It’s easy to see that she cares about pets. We have a puppy and it’s a good feeling, knowing that we are leaving our puppy in good hands. Amy only uses positive reinforcement, ask questions when care instructions are unclear, provides thorough updates, and plays and cuddles with our puppy. She even goes above and beyond by cleaning up any puppy messes. Truly a reliable, attentive, and thoughtful sitter—We are so grateful to have found her!

Oh my goodness! I seriously could not be any happier about Katherine’s care and support. This visit was exactly what my puppy and I needed. Katherine was right on time and gave the care necessary and did everything I asked for. It definitely eased my anxiety to know my girl was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about. I hate when my dog needs to be home all alone but getting confirmation from Katherine made it all possible. I appreciate her care and support so very much!!

Erin always takes incredible care of my girl, Vega. Vega needs special attention with her food and regimen due to her health and I completely trust Erin to go above & beyond Vega's needs. Erin is very communicative and always sends the fun scorecards and a photo, which really makes my day. I highly recommend Erin for anyone looking for someone to help with their fur-baby.
