About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs for over 15 years. Sadly they have passed away. I just got a puppy Pepper and she is 7 months old. Loves other dogs. I am familiar with their eating habits and levels of activity. I work from home most days and can take breaks. Occasionally need to run errands or take the kids to school or a play date. I have a fully fenced in backyard with lots of grass to run around in. I have two friendly cats who have been around dogs.
“I had a stress free weekend knowing my babies were cared for! She gave me updates when she visited and I knew my dog and cats were super comfortable and happy they had a visitor.”
About: Beyond the care of my own pets, I also regularly house, dog, cat, and chicken-sit for family friends and neighbors. I've spent my whole life around animals and have nurtured and cared for a variety of pets, including guinea pigs, dogs, cats, and fish. I graduated in June of this year, so I have more day-time availability this summer, however I do work a part-time job. My shifts at my job are 4 to 10 hours, 3 to 4 days a week, and Fridays and Tuesdays tend to be my most available days. I am open to any rules or directions you have for your pet. I have a deep respect for all animals and will love and care for them. As a pet-caregiver myself, I understand the bond between you and your pet and the protecting feeling that comes with it. I will do all I can to make sure you feel your pet is in good hands.

About: Animals have been part of my life since childhood - I grew up alongside both cats (Kiki, Jenny) and dogs (Bailey and Fenton), which taught me early on how different (and wonderfully quirky) each species can be. Over the years I've pet sat for many families, handling everything from daily walks and feeding routines to those cats who pretend they don't need you...until they do. I have a special soft spot for small pets and genuinely love the one-on-one time that daily walks and drop-in visits offer. Your pet won't just be checked on, they'll be fussed over! I work from home most days, which means your pet is never just waiting around for someone to show up - I'm already here, or nearby and flexible. My schedule allows me to offer drop-ins and walks at consistent times, which pets (especially dogs) really thrive on. I plan visits and walks the way most people plan meetings: they're on the calendar and they happen. I'm a creature of habit, which works out great for animals who depend on routine. Whether it's a midday drop-in for your cat or an afternoon walk for your dog, I show up on time, every time. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd want shown in mine. I follow your pet's routine - their feeding schedule, their favorite spots, the words they respond to, the toys they love. I'm not there to do things my way; I'm there to make your pet feel like you never left. I always send updates with photos so you can see for yourself how they're doing. I have a genuine soft spot for small animals. I understand that small dogs and cats can be more sensitive to strangers and new energy, so I take my time letting them warm up to me rather than rushing the interaction. Calm, patient, and consistent - that's my approach.
“Visited my cat for a week. Always was prompt with a picture or text about how he was doing. Made sure to spend some quality time with Daniel. Would recommend!”

I have extensive personal experience managing complex canine health conditions—including strict medication schedules and active seizure monitoring for an epileptic dog. “Sam was great with pilot and Perla while I was gone over the holidays. It’s was amazing that he understood my dogs personalities. He was very attentive and took great pictures. I felt safe with him taking care of my dogs and I would totally book him again. Thank you Sam for being a great sitter.”

About: It's no secret that I love animals more than people (no offense). There is something so pure and uncomplicated about the bonds we form with our pets, and leaving them behind is never easy, no matter the reason. When your bestie needs a buddy, you'll want a sitter who is not only present in the room, but present in the moment; someone you can trust to be just as attentive to their emotional needs as their physical ones. As a member of your pet's care team, I consider myself to be an extension of their family. My priority is to foster a comfortable, engaging, and loving environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I strive to be the next best thing to having you there, and to provide consistent communication and trustworthy service that enables you to travel stress-free. I have been pet sitting and dog walking professionally since 2017 through Rover, and work part time as a Pet Care Professional with Hot Diggity Dog Walking. With nearly 60 rave reviews and over 20 repeat clients, I am proud to have been among the first to achieve Rover's "Star Sitter" status, a distinction which "highlights sitters with a track record of highly rated care for pets and responsible, reliable service for pet parents." I am certified in first aid and CPR via ProTrainings, and have over 30 years of pet ownership experience with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish, and horses. I have experience working with different ages and temperaments, including those anxious, hesitant, young, elderly, and/or injured pets who may benefit from having some extra care and thoughtfulness built into their routine. I am comfortable administering medications, and I'm happy to work with your pet on any specific training regimens you have in place, to maintain consistency in their education and environment. If this feels like a good fit for you, please reach out with a bit about your pet and their specific needs, and we can compare calendars to schedule a meet-and-greet. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your furry family member(s)! I am a full-time pet care provider, and intentionally spend as much of my time at home with your pet as I can, to minimize anxiety while their people are gone. I will occasionally need to leave for a couple of hours here and there to visit my regular dog walking clients during the day, or to attend band practices or other commitments in the evenings, but I do my best to prioritize quality time with the animals in my care. I like to maintain your pet's typical routine as closely as possible, as I find the familiarity and consistency keeps them feeling calm. Depending on their needs and energy levels, we'll have a balance of indoor play time, walks around the neighborhood, and cuddle time. Rest assured I will be loving on them as if they are my own pets! This is how I meet my own needs as an animal-obsessed touring musician whose travel schedule doesn't allow for personal pet ownership. :)

“Alison took great care of our two kitties while on vacation! She was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond. We will definitely be booking her again and refer her as well.”
“Devon was amazing with our two big, energetic dogs. She was kind enough to meet them ahead of time and they immediately loved her. We felt so much less anxious on our trip knowing they were in good hands. We will definitely asking her to sit for them again!”

“Tayla was amazing! She left detailed notes after each visit with tons of pictures. She was flexible, communicative, and quick to respond to any questions/concerns. My cat can be timid around strangers at times but went up to Tayla immediately. I’d be happy to book her again :)”

“Kira did a great job dealing with our extra grumpy cat. For some reason he was incredibly angry when she arrived and did not make her job easy. But she still managed to feed him and clean his litter box which I really appreciate. I don’t know if Kira would ever want to sit for us in the future 😅 but I’d be happy to book with her again!”

Melinda has a gift. Our dog is very shy and he took to her right away. She sent us a pic of her playing with our kitten. Melinda is a warm, gentle person and we felt very confident leaving our pets in her care. We will be having her sit for us frequently in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about Maria. From our initial meet and greet to the very end, Maria was reliable, communicative, and clearly passionate about dogs. Maria took the time to understand Willow’s routine, personality, and needs, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received detailed Rover Cards and lots of lovely pictures of Willow. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and truly kind with animals, I would absolutely recommend Maria without hesitation. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Amy’s great! It’s easy to see that she cares about pets. We have a puppy and it’s a good feeling, knowing that we are leaving our puppy in good hands. Amy only uses positive reinforcement, ask questions when care instructions are unclear, provides thorough updates, and plays and cuddles with our puppy. She even goes above and beyond by cleaning up any puppy messes. Truly a reliable, attentive, and thoughtful sitter—We are so grateful to have found her!

Oh my goodness! I seriously could not be any happier about Katherine’s care and support. This visit was exactly what my puppy and I needed. Katherine was right on time and gave the care necessary and did everything I asked for. It definitely eased my anxiety to know my girl was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about. I hate when my dog needs to be home all alone but getting confirmation from Katherine made it all possible. I appreciate her care and support so very much!!

Erin always takes incredible care of my girl, Vega. Vega needs special attention with her food and regimen due to her health and I completely trust Erin to go above & beyond Vega's needs. Erin is very communicative and always sends the fun scorecards and a photo, which really makes my day. I highly recommend Erin for anyone looking for someone to help with their fur-baby.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Maywood Park stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maywood Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Maywood Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
