“Melissa was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond while caring for our cats and made us feel so comfortable knowing they were in such great hands. She was attentive, reliable, communicative, and clearly went the extra mile to make sure everything was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter and would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve taken care of my own pets for years and taking care of family members pets as well. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats. I also have some experience with reptiles. I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to watch and play with pets. I’m super flexible with schedules and can plan around anything. I have a fenced yard for my two dogs. Both dogs know, basic commands and enjoy enrichment activities. Both are fed twice a day and given plenty of attention.
“What great dog sitters! Couldn't have been happier with the care, attention, and love my dog received while we were gone. Went above and beyond the call of duty. We feel very lucky to have found them!”

“Emily is fantastic! We went on a 10-day vacation and scheduled 4 drop-in visits to check on our cat. This was my first time using Rover, and Emily was very professional and helpful, explaining how the drop-in process works; she made me (and kitty) feel comfortable right away. She was always prompt and sent detailed reports and photos, making me feel at ease while we were away. I'll definitely hire Emily again when we go out of town!”
About: I've had the privilege of caring for dogs for over a decade. I have experience administering medication, walking, cleaning and playing with puppies and middle age dogs. I am a full time artist with quite an open and flexible schedule. I am available during the day during the week and flexible during weekends. I love playing and spending time with my own cat, catering to her needs and spending time together. I have no issue crating other's dogs if asked.

“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

“Shianne was great! Our cat hid most of the time, but we still felt at ease knowing he was being checked on and cared for. Communication was smooth, and we really appreciated her help!”

“I can't recommend Priscila enough! She was an incredible help, and even though I reached out without much notice for the time I'd be out of town she was able to accommodate the request to make check-in visits on my cat. She was quick to respond whenever I had a question, and even sent photo updates of my cat from her visits :) I'm very grateful for her help, and will definitely be reaching out to her the next time I need a sitter!!”

“Lindsey did a great job taking care of our two pups during the daily visits. Lindsey even offers to stay longer than requested to keep the pups company!”

“Rachelle did a wonderful job taking care of my cat while I was away. She took the time before I left to get to know my cat, her particular needs, and ask many questions to ensure she was well cared for. While caring for my cat, she communicated frequently and was very responsive. I would definitely ask her to care for my pets again!”

About: Hi. I'm Dominique, a very responsible woman in the 44-49 age range. I'm a freelance business manager and I have worked from home since 2013. The home I share with my equally animal-loving husband has a small, fenced yard with grass, a patio and an upper garden bed that pups love to poop and dig in. Just 4 houses down, on the same street, is a beautiful playground and beyond that a large green space and enclosed dog park. If boarded with us, Fido will get plenty of attention and just the right amount of activity. If Fido needs lots of walks and exercise, we can do that. If Fido is elderly, injured, heat-sensitive or just a lazy couch potato, we're good with that, too. At this time, I’m pretty booked up for boarding for the remainder of 2026. There are a few available days left, however…any dog(s) booked for boarding from here to New Year’s Eve will have to get along with other dogs. Any dogs already booked who your dog would stay with will be very friendly pups and you and your dog will meet them before everyone stays together. I'm an experienced caregiver for dogs of all sizes and ages, including "aggressive" breeds, too. Bring on the pit bulls, Am Staffs and Akitas, etc. We live in Windswept Waters and we would love to be a resource for your pet. Bonus: it forces me to look up from the computer more often. Fido and I both need some sunlight and fresh air for work/life balance. Thanks for reading! I work as a freelance business manager from home. I can take frequent breaks in the morning or afternoon for play time outside, walks, potty breaks or feeding. Hubby walks pretty much every night after dinner, with dogs or without. I have a fenced backyard that is very secure. Dogs will be leashed and/or harnessed any time we are not in the house, backyard or the off-leash dog park in my neighborhood (if appropriate). The front and back yards have cameras so I can keep an eye on any pups who just love laying on the patio in the sun or playing in the rain, beyond what I can comfortably do. You know when they just don’t want to come in?? OK. I can still check on you, sunflower. This helps out front, too, so we know if any dogs or FedEx trucks or other triggers are present before walks. All dogs will be fitted upon arrival with a collar that has my information on it, as well as an Apple AirTag tracking device, just as extra insurance in case Fido bolts out the door (when I grab a package from the porch, for example). I’ve never had to use these but it helps me sleep better. Any dogs overlapping with yours (a couple hours of daycare or overnight) will be dogs I know very well or we will have a visit beforehand for everyone to sniff and investigate. If it doesn’t work out, I prioritize whoever was booked first. We never have more than 4 dogs and the 4 dogs can come from 2 households, max. If you have 4 dogs, yay. If you have 3 and they can handle a playmate for a while, yay. If you have 5 dogs, that’s too much for me to manage with my day job.
“Elena is great and has been taking care of my boys for a very long time. Castle and yuma are big boys with special needs as one is extremely reactive and the other deaf and she handles them both perfectly. She is always on time and my boys love her. Only walker I prefer to use.”

“Savannah is a cat whisperer. My two cats hide whenever someone comes in the house. They came right to her and stayed out the whole visit. She even invented a new game where they chased treats. Savannah clearly loves animals and your furbabies will be well taken care of!”

“Colin was phenomenal at taking care of our pup! He left detailed notes that gave us great updates and peace of mind that our dog was well cared for. Colin took our dog out for a walk, even when not necessary, to give her extra attention and stimulation. We came back to one happy dog and safe home!”

About: I have five years of experience pet-sitting and housesitting. I grew up on a farm in Oregon, and I have taken care of a variety of pets of all sizes, breeds, and ages. I will always make sure that your pet’s needs are met and that they feel loved! I am available to walk and care for pets during the day, as well as spend the night. I pride myself on my time-management - I will make your pet my priority! I will always arrive on time and follow all instructions left for me. I will respect your home and your space, and do everything I can to make sure that your pet feels respected and safe.
About: Animals have always been a major component of my life. They tend to be drawn to me and trust in my patient compassionate nature. I have helped many friends and family with grooming their pets. I enjoy training puppies basic manners and have even taught my cat a few tricks. I love being outdoors and engaging with those around me. Dogs appreciate my high energy and positive reinforcement. My schedule is pretty limited at this time. Every day but Tuesday I am either working or attending classes 11am-730pm. Depending on distance of travel it is possible to provide walks beforehand, after, or on a Tuesday. Let's connect and see how I can best assist caring for your fur baby (: I am available for drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays. Our activities are structured around a schedule that they'd typically experience to keep stress at bay. Lots of walks, treats, snuggles and play time! Respecting pet parents requests is my top priority. Let me know your needs and we will find something that works (:
“Megan did such a great job with my young puppy, Ollie! She was patient, kind, and gave him all the love. I appreciate you, Megan, and would definitely recommend for anyone else who wants their fur baby to have the best care!”

Sarah was responsive, detailed, and amazing with our pups! She was able to accommodate all of my requests for my 5mo puppy and give both dogs lots of attention during her visit. After the visit, she provided a lot of photos and a detailed summary of her time with my pups which I absolutely love and appreciate from her. 10/10 would recommend booking with Sarah 😌

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
