“Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. Besides taking great care of the pups, they are lovely people and we have enjoyed getting to know them.”

I also have a very large yard for lots of running and exercise. I work fill time, but remote. I can choose to be from home or in office so am available to watch pets at home all day, when needed. We have a large fully fenced yard. We do have chickens, but they are gated in their own area. I have a pet gate to keep dogs from going downstairs unattended and a door as backup. I provide a pet water fountain for constant fresh and flowing hydration. Pets get regular treats and training refreshers to keep their minds sharp and engaged. My house is inundated with both cat and dog toys for constant entertainment.

It’s a gift to be able to connect with animals. I love to return the positive energy an animal gives. I feel like every animal deserves kindness. I feel like I have a gift to be able read, understand, calm and relax and add happiness to an animal’s day. They are therapy for me as much as I feel I am for them. Animals make my day, daily! Whether it be my friend’s dogs & cats or the Brahma bull that is up the road, I try to see an animal each day. I do have experience with animals that have high-anxiety, special needs and abusive backgrounds. I currently have a few tears in my meniscus which is preventing me to do rigorous walks. About: We love all animals and appreciate their intelligence and respect their feelings. We have had dogs and/or cats always. We have also had goats, pot bellied pigs, chickens, miniature donkeys and fish. We love spending time with animals and attending to their needs. Walks at parks and in nature or around the neighborhood are a regular part of our day. We are retired and spend a lot of our time traveling in Southern California and Mexico. We provide a safe calm environment in your home and keep your pets' normal routines. We will be bringing our dog with us and she is well adjusted to changing environments and meeting new animal friends. Housesitting is part of our travel strategy and we have received many positive reviews over the past few years. I also have done some dog training and animals are comfortable around us. We are retired and take several walks a day. Our schedule is very flexible. We like to be able to take your dogs in the car for walking adventures if they are comfortable with that.
