About: We are gentle, caring, and experienced pet parents ready to welcome your pet(s) into our home. I (Alex) have been caring for pets of family and friends for well over a decade. I once worked at the WSU veterinary school and have experience volunteering at vet clinics and fostering. I have always been passionate about animals of all shapes, sizes, and ages. My partner Dalton is a work from home dad to our three furbabies and one human baby. We have plenty of indoor and fenced outdoor space for your pet(s) to roam. Whether they want to cuddle up on the couch with us, or prefer a quiet, secluded space of their own, we can accommodate your pet's needs. Our goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in our home. If you need drop-in visits or dog walking, I have availability for that too! Don't hesitate to reach out with questions. We value open, frequent communication and would love a meet and greet with you and your pet(s) to see if we are a good fit. I work night shift in healthcare- I have several days off in a row every other week which is when I would be available for pet sitting. This includes weekends and weekdays, as well as some holidays. My partner works from home full-time so is available to help out as needed. We have a large one story home with plenty of lounge spaces for your pet to get comfortable. We also have a large fully fenced, grassy backyard. Our two elderly dogs are good with other dogs, but we also have the ability to give your pet(s) their own gated off space, or crate, if needed.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve had family dogs growing up and had a dog of my own in my early twenties, so caring for them has always been a part of my life. Around 2020, friends and coworkers started asking me to house sit while they traveled, and that’s when I realized how much I genuinely enjoy caring for other people’s homes and especially thier pets. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities... from tiny Chihuahuas and miniature Poodles to Huskies, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans. I’ve also spent some time with cats, hamsters, bunnies, and lizards. Unfortunately I have retired for caring for cats due to allergies. I know that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, some love long walks, and others just want someone cuddles. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I’ve even helped reinforce basic training, taught a few fun tricks, and worked on some very simple behavioral habits when owners have appreciated. I believe consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement go a long way. When your dog is with me, they’ll be treated like my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your best friend is getting plenty of attention, exercise, affection, care until you’re back home. I’m currently a surgical technology student, and my classes are scheduled in the mornings, which means I’m available most afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and quality time with your pets. Trusting someone with your animal is a huge deal. I am big on personal integrity and respect. I know every pet is different, so I like to stick as closely as possible to the routine they’re already used to. Whether that means long walks, playtime in the yard, keeping up with feeding schedules, or just hanging out on the couch together, I’m happy to do whatever helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. Safety is always my biggest priority. I’m especially careful on walks, pay attention to each dog’s personality and body language. This means, my phone is away… unless I sneak a really cute picture of your pup. I also know how important it is to trust the person staying in your home, so I’ll treat your space with respect and leave it just the way I found it. I’ll also send plenty of updates and photos because I know I’d want the same if someone was watching my dog. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away worry free.

“Ronda did a great job caring for my pets! I contracted with Ronda to care for my Spaniel, Gracie while I was gone for four days. We did a "meet and greet" prior to Ronda pet sitting and Ronda was very attentive and reassuring during her introduction to my pets. While I hired Ronda to primarily take care of my dog, Gracie, we also have two indoor exotic birds, a fish tank and a chicken in our backyard, I needed these pets to be cared for in my absence as well and Ronda was able to take care of the whole menagerie. She provided plenty of great photos and details of her multiple, daily visits, I was able to relax and enjoy my time away from home knowing that all my pet's needs were being met, I will definitely hire Ronda in the future.”

About: I have previous experience in the veterinary field as an assist/tech for 4 years. I am well versed in medications and prescription diets and understand animal behavior. I am very patient with nervous animals too! I currently work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. However, I am able to come by 2-3 times per day depending on your pets needs! I would do an early morning visit at around 7am, a check in at 3-4pm, and an additional check in later in the evening depending on your needs. I’m happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you! I will care for your pets as I do my own! I understand that each pets needs will be different and will make accommodations as needed. You know your pets best, so I will follow all instructions provided to ensure the best care.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats and even birds/reptiles of both friends and family before. I use to work in the pet field and have a love of all animals. Ive owned animals of many kinds. I did also train for a short time as both a dog and cat groomer. I have owned and cared for special needs, senior and young animals too. I also have some experience with administering medicines to both cats and dogs. I am currently working part time as a security officer and don't have a set schedule so i have alot of free time to spend with your pups or kits. I can offer several hours a day of enrichment and am willing to travel to please your puppies or kitties. I love outdoor adventures or just sitting at home one the couch cuddling if that what you and your pets prefer. I will care for your dogs in your home as you would like. If your dog has a set schedule and routine, i have no issues with following this. Same for your feline friends. I have no issues following your instructions as written and will do my best to make it a fun and positive experience for both you and your pet.

About: I have had cats over many years... I have two 9 year old Ragdolls. Their needs and health are top priority and so important to me. When your kitties are in my care, so will theirs be. I worry about my fluffy babies when I am away, so when they have the care they need, I feel so relieved and grateful. That will be my goal for you when you're away. You can feel good knowing that I'll take the best care of your furry family members! :) The type of work I do allows me to kitty sit on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoon/evening. Saturday/Sunday late morning and evening. I may be able to squeeze in Monday and Tuesday! My kitties are indoor. I don't let them out unless it's on my balcony and I'm watching them! They won't go outside, and when maintenance has to come by, I always make sure to remind them to NOT let them outside! :) I give them lots of loves and play! I'm their world! I would do two drop-in visits for your kitties. Make sure they have water, food, clean litter box... And give them pets and keep them company for a bit. I like to have pictures sent to me so I know my cats are okay, so I could do that for you if you'd want.

About: I've had cats all my life, current have 3. I have two dogs, both German Sheppards, and love taking care of them! Very in tune with physical cues of discomfort and figuring out what the animals need! I've stayed overnight at family members houses for years to take care of their dogs. I work part time at a coffee shop, but can always make time for taking of your fur babies! I have varying availability everyday and would love to work with your schedule! I love spending time with your animals and will be engaged with them the duration of my time with them, whether they love walks or chilling out!

About: I grew up with animals always around, dogs, cats, and birds, but am not ready to have one of my own again at this time. I work from home so will be available to your pets at all times. I have a big fenced back yard to play in. I limit stays to 1 household at a time to ensure everyone is familiar and comfortable with eachother. I am comfortable with pets of all ages and experienced in administering any medicines needed. I do live with a partner, while he is an animal lover too, I will be the sole sitter for your pets during their stay. I really look forward to meeting your fur babies! I work from home so I’ll be available at all hours of the day. My workday usually starts at 7am but that is highly flexible. My house is small but I have a large fenced in backyard and am usually okay just keeping the door open for pets to go in and out as they like during down time. I prefer for your pets to stay with me but if you need me to come to your place that can be arranged. I will respect your home and your home’s safety however you deem. I’m here to help you and your pets feel as comfortable as possible while you are away

About: I believe my 3 years in vet med has provided me exceptional knowledge in order to provide the best care for your pets! About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. My life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own pet services business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a sighthound, small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a thorough understanding of dog behavior and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining kind, calm and confident when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified, as well as bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared. I’m professional, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy and pride myself on practicing clear and transparent communication. I'm located in the East/SE Portland area, also near Happy Valley and Gresham, and I service most all surrounding areas. In addition to working with dogs, I'm also a part-time jewelry artist and I work out of my home studio. I make my own schedule and usually, always available. I can schedule around most everything. At my home, I have three small rescue dogs that are a bonded pack. We utilize pet gates in our one level, ranch style home, and dog run fencing in our large, fenced backyard. Open to small to small/medium dogs for boarding and daycare.
