Pet care experience
Peace of mind, one paw at a time
Dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, rodents, farm animals. Experienced taking care of a large number of animals. Ran a homestead for three years with small livestock and have assisted other farms with their animals. I started my pet care with fish when I was ten. I adopted my first couple of cat companions fifteen years ago. My grandmother's old dog joined our family after she passed away until she joined her a few years later. I have a lot of experience training cats although I've haven't yet paid for a certification. My cats learn to play hunt before meals, high five, sit, come when called, etc. Our family currently includes two older male cats. Phobos is our most recent addition. An approximately eight year old stray at deaths door step. Fleas, eye infection, malnutrition, teeth rotting (only two didn't have to be pulled), and hiding in a corner in his own pee. Within a few short months he became a healthy, vibrant, well trained partner always looking for loves.

It has been a pleasure having Shawn come in once a day for 30 minutes and watch our 4 1/2 month old and take her potty and everything play with her. She really enjoyed the time and everything was done well with what he needed to do and he made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you, Shawn.

Took care of our cats well. The first few days they were hiding for fear of strangers. Then they began to visit with Shawn. He took good care of both Cinder and Spice.
Shawn has watched my cats multiple times for 5-6 years now and I’m never disappointed. He’s punctual, consistent and a die hard animal love. He’s even taken on special requests like when my cat needed special eye drops while I was out of town! Extremely knowledgeable about a wide variety of animals and care needed, and my cats warmed up to him immediately.

Schedule
I'm a school bus driver which leaves me with some open time in the middle of the day on school days and addition time on non-school days. With time in the middle of the day when I work I can often service two separate areas. North Portland and out near Gresham.

I look forward to giving your furry family lots of attention and care. I'll pay close attention to your care requirements as every animal has different needs and desires. You can count on pictures to set your mind at ease.

A typical day
Lots of attention and play for those that want it. Every animal is different and sometimes an amount of space is needed for them to feel comfortable. I respect their needs and will allow shy pets to come to me on their terms. But for those that are ready playing with their favorite toys as well as lots of pets and cuddles will be given so they are less stressed.
