“We cannot say enough good things about Emily! She is incredibly communicative, providing regular updates and photos. She goes above and beyond to make sure our cats are healthy and happy. She takes such good care of them while we are away and we are so grateful for her!”

“I’ve never felt safe leaving my babies with anyone, but you have taken such great care of them and truly eased my mind while I was away! You followed all my lengthy notes about their care, and in the photos they looked SO happy 🥹! I appreciate you so so so much, and I will definitely choose you again whenever we go out of town again!!!”

“Anna came for a meet and greet with me and Sunny. Everything went well. Anna stopped by a few days later to take my 8 month old goldendoodle outside for a potty break and to feed him dinner while I was at work. Anna was punctual, professional and provided me with awesome pictures of Sunny and an update text message of her visit. 10/10 recommend.”

“Jiwan took great care of our boys while we were away for two weeks. She gave us updates on how they were doing and sent lots of pictures. She even muscled in some super heavy chewy packages that I forgot to turn off the autoship for. A++. Would hire again.”

“Jessica clearly loves dogs very much and is wonderfully patient. She was so great and calm when our pup (who gets overexcited and pees when meeting new people) peed on her shoes. Jessica came when promised, took great photos of the pups, and hung out with them and played for bit. She allowed us to have a long day out, and it was great to have someone we could trust help out our furbabies.”

“Reagan is a true gem! Very communicative, responsive and willing to go out of her way to make sure our animals are well taken care of. We have a dog sit with her next month for a week and couldn’t feel more at ease with it. We’re so glad we found her and highly recommend if you’re looking for a caring pet sitter!”
“Michelle is great with our little challenging kitty. He really loves her and their lap time! She’s great about sending us pictures, too, which we really appreciate when we are far away!”

“Gema took great care of our little man (17 yr old dachshund/schnauzer rescue). She was sweet, patient, and super communicative while we were out of town. Will definitely welcome Gema back any time!”

“I couldn't be happier :) Tori took care of my four cats in my home while I was out of town almost two weeks. All four are alive, so win! My girls are low maintenance and just needed daily check ins to change litter, drop supplemental food, and make sure the climate in the house was cool enough in summer. She always sent a pic of whatever cat she could find. I would totally book Tori again (thanks, Tori!).”

“Penny was a delight to meet in person and she got the whole house's approval! Jubilee was immediately excited about her, our baby wouldn't stop talking to her and my wife was immediately put to ease! Penny was very attentive, had plenty of questions ready to go, got the layout of the house, provided an air of comfort and security and just was pleasant! We will definitely be using her services again!”

About: I grew up with animals always around, dogs, cats, and birds, but am not ready to have one of my own again at this time. I work from home so will be available to your pets at all times. I have a big fenced back yard to play in. I limit stays to 1 household at a time to ensure everyone is familiar and comfortable with eachother. I am comfortable with pets of all ages and experienced in administering any medicines needed. I do live with a partner, while he is an animal lover too, I will be the sole sitter for your pets during their stay. I really look forward to meeting your fur babies! I work from home so I’ll be available at all hours of the day. My workday usually starts at 7am but that is highly flexible. My house is small but I have a large fenced in backyard and am usually okay just keeping the door open for pets to go in and out as they like during down time. I prefer for your pets to stay with me but if you need me to come to your place that can be arranged. I will respect your home and your home’s safety however you deem. I’m here to help you and your pets feel as comfortable as possible while you are away
“Nathan is taking such good care of my very active doggy duo! He's helping them (and me!) through a transition to being home alone all day for the first time in their lives and it's been a tremendous relief to know that they are getting exercise, enrichment, and attention from Nathan during the day. He has been communicative, flexible, and highly trustworthy. It's clear that Nathan is a dog lover and understands their needs. I'm so grateful for his time with my dogs and he has my wholehearted recommendation!”

About: Between owning pets for 10+ years and helping friends and family take care of their pets I have a lot of experience with senior dogs who require extra care and things like medication to puppies who just want lots of play time! I work from home which provides me a lot of flexibility in my schedule, both weekly and daily and whether it's taking pets on walks or house sitting. I live in a safe residential area and will take your pet on daily walks, I also work from home which means I am very flexible to work from any location and provides me with the ability to spend lots of time with your pet
About: I have been a pet owner for over 20 years and have taken care of a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, and guinea pigs. I treat my own fur baby, Dexter, like my own child and I will do the same for yours! He’s my best friend, we do everything together & that’s exactly how I will treat your pup or kitty. I would love to take your fur baby on a nature hike, to the local coffee shop for a puppuccino, to a park to play fetch, or even just playing and lounging around the home. I am here to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Whatever works well and best for them. I work a full-time hybrid position, so my schedule can be flexible at times with advanced scheduling. I am typically able to interact with your fur child as much as needed! We can go on a short walk or hang out at home before I go to work, during my lunch break, and after I am off! Weekends are usually wide open availability. I am no longer offering boarding services at my home, however, I would love to check in on your pet at your home as much as needed. Due to having a pup of my own with his own needs, I will not be able to spend the night at your home. Please note, this prior to booking. I am only available for drop-in visits. Drop in visits typically range from 3-7 times per day, depending on your pet’s needs. I want to ensure your pet is comfortable and safe in the comfort of their home.

About: I have loved animals since I was a child. In my life I have owned four dogs and three hamsters. Pets are not just pets to me but family. Any animal with me, I treat as if they’re my own fur baby. You’ll never have to worry about who is taking care of your pet because I take great pride in my work and have a lot of respect for you and your pet. I spent a few years working with my own pets, teaching them tricks, training, and keeping them active, and moved on to working with animals professionally for the past six years. I want your dog to have fun when they’re with me! Life is too short to not have a little fun. I hope to bring that fun into your pet’s life while you’re away! I’m currently working full time with Rover as a dog walker & pet sitter. I am available during the weekdays and weekends 7am-7pm to provide fun, enrichment for your pup! I live in a townhouse within a fenced community, with one small and very friendly dog. I do not have a yard, but have plenty of space to take pups out to potty and lots to sniff. My home is spacious and I have many blankets, toys, treats, and more. I have also installed baby gates to ensure it’s a fun and safe environment for all.
About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. Weekends are mostly free to cuddle and to play with the fur babies. When house sitting or boarding pets I stay close so they be taken care of as needed. I keep my own pets on a schedule feeding, potty breaks and play with puzzles to earn treats. I will follow clients care guidelines to maintain consistency and keep them comfortable while their owners are gone.

Heather has been doing drop in visits for my 2 German shorthairs for the past year, since they were puppies. She is always reliable and very easy to communicate with. She has great availability and has been so flexible and understanding with scheduling and last second changes.

Total peace of mind. Jiwan does such a great job hanging out with our kitties and making sure they are safe and happy. This last time one of our cats knocked over a glass pitcher, and she quickly cleaned it up and made sure to check that the cats’s paws were ok. Always communicative, and very friendly. Thanks for another great pet sitting!

Jessica clearly loves dogs very much and is wonderfully patient. She was so great and calm when our pup (who gets overexcited and pees when meeting new people) peed on her shoes. Jessica came when promised, took great photos of the pups, and hung out with them and played for bit. She allowed us to have a long day out, and it was great to have someone we could trust help out our furbabies.

Lilieana went above and beyond taking care of my girl while I was away. I haven’t been away this long from my cat before, but Lilieana made sure she gave Plum all the love and care she would’ve gotten as if it were me! She was very attentive and let me know if she noticed anything or had any questions. Would absolutely recommend. ⭐️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
