About: I've had pets since I was a kid, cats and dogs, so I've taken care of them as kittens and puppies, and in old age, administering medication, giving them injections, putting medicine in their food, drops in their ears, feeding them and giving them water as well as treats, baths, taking them for walks, bringing them to the vet and playing with them. I also have about 10 years of experience with other people's pets as a house-sitter and dropping in them to play with them and walk them. I have 3 cats of my own, so I do take care of them daily, but I am free Monday-Sunday as a house-sitter and drop-in. About: I’ve been dog sitting since high school from family to friends. Mostly have experience with dogs. Own one myself cute adorable golden retriever named hina. About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. So greatful for Melissa's help taking care of my cat Luna. At the time of my trip, Luna was recovering from a wound that needed special care. Melissa was not only able to manage her care and monitor progress, but also somehow managed to get my extremely shy cat to warm up to her, despite all the meds and special care routine. When I got back Luna was in tip-top shape and a lot less mad at me for leaving than she usually is. Melissa will definitely be my first call next time I need to travel.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
