“Ashley was such a wonderful help watching our four kitties! She kept us in the loop, made sure they were all taken care of, and gave them lots of love and attention. I’m definitely planning to have her come back to watch the kitties again! Plus, I really appreciated her bringing the package to our porch.”

About: I grew up with Dachshunds in my family for over 15 years, and I’ve had my own dog for the past two years. I’ve been lucky to share my life with furry friends! I love spending time playing and cuddling with them! I work from home, so I get to spend lots of quality time with my furry babies. We visit the dog park a couple of times a week, and on weekends, we love going on hikes together. It’s such a joy to share these moments with them! We have a backyard and two friendly dogs to keep your furry baby company. We’ll make sure your pup has fun, stays safe, and feels happy while they’re with us!
“Yan was an amazing help with our dog while we were traveling abroad! She was prompt, communicative, and great with our pup, Riely. Will definitely book again and would recommend to anyone.”
“Jessica took excellent care of the fellas once again! Even when the front door lock failed Jessica made sure to not leave without that door secured. Thank you again!”

“Second time using Michelle. Will use for all our future trips. Communicative, flexible, and both pets were well cared for. Followed all our instructions. Thank you!”

“Jill is amazing 😻 I cannot imagine leaving the care of my fur babies to anyone else. Jill is so sweet and takes the best care of my pack! Never have to worry about a thing ❤️”

About: While I've grown up with dogs and cats, I also have professional pet sitting experience taking care of dogs with diabetes, blind cats, guinea pigs, and even a llama! Pets and their caretakers have trusted me so much, they have flown me to their new homes after moving out of state for further petsitting assignments. I give emotional connection and comfort to pets while they're missing their humans, even reading aloud to them, because I believe it is an integral part of the job. Currently, this is my primary work, so I will have time to spare to take care of your animals. I volunteer regularly at animal sanctuaries and other orgs to improve the lives of animals. I have typically been asked to spend the night with the pets in the client's home, and spend as much time with them as possible, but I can also make daily visits instead if necessary. If you prefer I make visits, keep in mind the distance it would take for me to get to your place, and consider allowing me to make fewer, longer visits instead of multiple brief ones throughout the day.
About: With years of hands-on experience in pet care, I've had the joy of looking after dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to senior pets needing a gentle touch, I provide personalized attention, daily routines, and plenty of playtime. Whether it's long walks on the trails, playing fetch in my 2.5 acre fenced in yard, medication administration, or simply offering comfort while you're away, I treat every pet like family - because they deserve nothing less! I'm available M- F after 3pm. I live 2 min away from work and am able to stop back home for pet potty breaks throughout the day I have Saturday's and Sunday's completely free. In my home, your pet will be cared for in a safe, loving and trustworthy environment. With a fully fenced 2.5 acre yard, there's plenty of secure space for supervised play, exercise, and exploration! Inside, pets enjoy a calm, clean and cozy atmosphere where they're treated like family. I prioritize safety at every step - whether it's feeding routines, rest time, or outdoor activities - so you can feel comfort knowing your pet is in good hands :)
About: I’ve had pets all my life and was always the one asked to care for pets of family and friends while they were gone. I absolutely love to play with dogs and cats and love on them as much as as they will let me. I can do whatever activity you request with your pet, long or short walks or even hikes, practice training routines, enforce good behavior and give lots of love. I am currently working part time as a Caregiver and a teaching substitute on occasion so I have very flexible and open availability most weeks. I do not care for other pets in my home because I have a dog who can be unfriendly with unknown animals. I’m happy to do so in your home and won’t bring my dog with me of course.
“My boys did great with Madelyn and are so excited to have her back! 😄 She is super communicative and sweet and takes the time to get to know your fur babies and respects their personalities. She is wonderful!!!”

About: Whether you're away for a day or an extended trip, I provide personalized care, fun playtime, and plenty of belly rubs for your furry family member. With a calm presence, flexible availability, and a true love for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and right at home. Walks, cuddles, feeding, meds; I’ve got it covered! It’s just me and my two teenagers in the house - they are 17 and 19 and both have their own cars so I rarely see them! They’ve grown up around having a dog, and continually pressure me to have another one 😵💫 We had a bully breed mix, Celine Dion who sadly passed from old age in 2019. She had diabetes towards the end of her life, so I’m familiar with giving medication/shots if necessary. Since then we’ve regularly looked after our friends’ dogs until we fostered Simba in 2024 - we had him for 10 months until he was adopted. Because of having family in England, I want to be able to travel there frequently so am not ready to have a permanent dog again yet, but I LOVE having dogs come and stay with me when my calendar allows. I work from home so have flexibility in my routine and am always available for my visitors’ needs. I like to take a morning walk, and an evening one too. I’m not away from home often. I have a fully fenced yard and my neighborhood has beautiful walking trails, that I use whether I am walking a dog, or just walking alone. I’ve fostered rescue dogs and have experience of high anxiety dogs. I’m 6 feet tall and strong, and my last foster was great with people but not so much with other dogs we met on our walks, so I’m used to avoiding them, if necessary! I am happy to send photos to you whilst your dog is in my care, and will communicate with you as frequently as you would like.
“Jessica did a great job caring for our cats. She took fantastic care of them, and we appreciated her daily updates, videos, & photos. Even our shy cat took to her right away. Highly recommend. Thank you, Jessica!”

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life, they provide me so much happiness! My family and friends have relied on my care for walks, potty breaks, and feeding. I am currently a student at WSU-Vancouver for Environmental Science and I am currently working part-time. I have lots of free time to play with your pup!! My backyard is completely fenced in, sitting on 1/2 acre for lots of running and fun! I have 2 crates that will fit medium sized dogs if needed.
“My kitties loved Mary! She was very communicative with me during the ice storm that hit the city, making sure I knew when she was able to visit and spending more time with them when she could. The house looked great and cats were happy when we came home!”

“Kaiea was fantastic. We would highly recommend her. She took such good care of our kitties. Our cats aren’t always the friendliest with new people but she did such a great job getting them acclimated to her. She always gave us detailed updates and made sure the daily tasks were completed, and went above and beyond cleaning for us. We appreciated you so much Kaiea!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Camas
WOW. I cannot stress enough how amazing Ashley was with our cats. We have never used Rover for our four cats before and weren’t sure what to expect. Generally cats don’t quite get the level of care that dogs do, they sleep a lot, they hide, you don’t really walk them. So to have Ashley come by twice a day and make sure our cats had food, clean water and litter pans but also make sure she put eyes on all four of them each time (even if they were hiding) meant the world to us! She sent multiple pictures a day which was amazing as we missed them terribly. She even sent pics of one of our cats (Navy Bean) paws which killed his because we are obsessed with her paws, lol. I would hire Ashley again and again :)

Michelle did a great job watching over my senior cat and home on my extended trip. Almost everyday she had interactions with my very shy cat who is sometimes hard to find when I’m away. She also went above and beyond by noticing it was trash day in my neighborhood and putting my garbage cans out. I would highly recommend her.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Skylar treated Miss Kitty like she was her own, and her updates made us feel completely at ease while we were traveling. She was punctual, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our cat was comfortable and well cared for. Coming home to a happy cat is the best review we can give. Thank you, Skylar—we’ll definitely be booking with you again!

So greatful for Melissa's help taking care of my cat Luna. At the time of my trip, Luna was recovering from a wound that needed special care. Melissa was not only able to manage her care and monitor progress, but also somehow managed to get my extremely shy cat to warm up to her, despite all the meds and special care routine. When I got back Luna was in tip-top shape and a lot less mad at me for leaving than she usually is. Melissa will definitely be my first call next time I need to travel.

We loved having NIKKI care for our cats while we were away. She is so sweet, and very professional. I know immediately upon meeting her that she would do a great job. During our trip she checked in with us each day to give us a little update on our fur babies, including taking the time to send pictures. Both of our cats seems right at home with her... and snuggled in close for cuddles when she came over. Nikki followed our instructions to the letter. I definitely hope to work with her again sometime, and highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
