About: I’ve had pets all my life and was always the one asked to care for pets of family and friends while they were gone. I absolutely love to play with dogs and cats and love on them as much as as they will let me. I can do whatever activity you request with your pet, long or short walks or even hikes, practice training routines, enforce good behavior and give lots of love. I am currently working part time as a Caregiver and a teaching substitute on occasion so I have very flexible and open availability most weeks. I do not care for other pets in my home because I have a dog who can be unfriendly with unknown animals. I’m happy to do so in your home and won’t bring my dog with me of course.

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life, they provide me so much happiness! My family and friends have relied on my care for walks, potty breaks, and feeding. About: I’ve taken care of mainly dogs for 7 years of all ages and sizes. I know how to take care of senior and young pets, whether it’s training them or giving them the right amount of medication at certain times, and if they need assistance going up/down stairs if they’re not able to. I’m currently looking for work and I am also thinking of going back to school, and I have a lot more free time now so I thought that I would put my time to use and help other people with their pets. I care for my parents older dogs (13 and 14 y/o) by making sure they are let outside whenever they need to, I take them on walks almost daily, I have also given them medication when they have needed it, adjusted their food diet and included wet food since they’re getting older, and I also take them to and from their vet/grooming appointments.

Since then we’ve regularly looked after our friends’ dogs until we fostered Simba in 2024 - we had him for 10 months until he was adopted. Because of having family in England, I want to be able to travel there frequently so am not ready to have a permanent dog again yet, but I LOVE having dogs come and stay with me when my calendar allows. I work from home so have flexibility in my routine and am always available for my visitors’ needs. I like to take a morning walk, and an evening one too. I’m not away from home often. I have a fully fenced yard and my neighborhood has beautiful walking trails, that I use whether I am walking a dog, or just walking alone. I’ve fostered rescue dogs and have experience of high anxiety dogs. I’m 6 feet tall and strong, and my last foster was great with people but not so much with other dogs we met on our walks, so I’m used to avoiding them, if necessary! I am happy to send photos to you whilst your dog is in my care, and will communicate with you as frequently as you would like.

So greatful for Melissa's help taking care of my cat Luna. At the time of my trip, Luna was recovering from a wound that needed special care. Melissa was not only able to manage her care and monitor progress, but also somehow managed to get my extremely shy cat to warm up to her, despite all the meds and special care routine. When I got back Luna was in tip-top shape and a lot less mad at me for leaving than she usually is. Melissa will definitely be my first call next time I need to travel.
We loved having NIKKI care for our cats while we were away. She is so sweet, and very professional. I know immediately upon meeting her that she would do a great job. During our trip she checked in with us each day to give us a little update on our fur babies, including taking the time to send pictures. Both of our cats seems right at home with her... and snuggled in close for cuddles when she came over. Nikki followed our instructions to the letter.
