About: I've had pets since I was a kid, cats and dogs, so I've taken care of them as kittens and puppies, and in old age, administering medication, giving them injections, putting medicine in their food, drops in their ears, feeding them and giving them water as well as treats, baths, taking them for walks, bringing them to the vet and playing with them. I also have about 10 years of experience with other people's pets as a house-sitter and dropping in them to play with them and walk them. I have 3 cats of my own, so I do take care of them daily, but I am free Monday-Sunday as a house-sitter and drop-in. About: I grew up with animals always around, dogs, cats, and birds, but am not ready to have one of my own again at this time. I work from home so will be available to your pets at all times. I have a big fenced back yard to play in. I limit stays to 1 household at a time to ensure everyone is familiar and comfortable with eachother. I am comfortable with pets of all ages and experienced in administering any medicines needed. I do live with a partner, while he is an animal lover too, I will be the sole sitter for your pets during their stay. I really look forward to meeting your fur babies! I work from home so I’ll be available at all hours of the day. My workday usually starts at 7am but that is highly flexible. My house is small but I have a large fenced in backyard and am usually okay just keeping the door open for pets to go in and out as they like during down time. I prefer for your pets to stay with me but if you need me to come to your place that can be arranged. I will respect your home and your home’s safety however you deem. I’m here to help you and your pets feel as comfortable as possible while you are away

Dogs deserve all the love, support, attention, care (and treatos!) we can give them—and that’s exactly what your dog would receive in my care. I am typically able to interact with your fur child as much as needed! We can go on a short walk or hang out at home before I go to work, during my lunch break, and after I am off! I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. So greatful for Melissa's help taking care of my cat Luna. At the time of my trip, Luna was recovering from a wound that needed special care. Melissa was not only able to manage her care and monitor progress, but also somehow managed to get my extremely shy cat to warm up to her, despite all the meds and special care routine. When I got back Luna was in tip-top shape and a lot less mad at me for leaving than she usually is. Melissa will definitely be my first call next time I need to travel.
