About: Hi! My name is Bailey! I’m currently a small animal veterinary assistant while also in school to get my CVT.I work with all of animals, and I personally own my own dog, cat, horse and more. I can work with any type of animal. I work Tuesday through Saturday, I have an hour lunch in between the day, which I go and do potty break during that time. Then with them off, I go straight to your house and take care of your pet. I take care of someone’s pet like they’re my own. As a vet tech, I treat every single animal like they are my own and my family.

About: I can be excited and outgoing, or calm and quiet, depending on your dog’s personality. I’m able to gain their trust quickly, and that’s something I’m extremely proud of. Dogs deserve all the love, support, attention, care (and treatos!) we can give them—and that’s exactly what your dog would receive in my care. About: I currently work full time at a dog boarding facility where I feed, walk, and administer medications to 20+ dogs and cats. I am comfortable with all breeds, knowledgeable about body language and able to administer medications. Working full time at dog boarding facility but can take care of your pets too on my days off. Other days of the week I am only available between 1p-2p and anytime after 7p Always assuring the home is locked before leaving and making sure pets are fully attended to whether that’s litter boxes, grooming, feeding, walking or medicine.

About: I have previous experience in the veterinary field as an assist/tech for 4 years. I am well versed in medications and prescription diets and understand animal behavior. I am very patient with nervous animals too! I currently work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. However, I am able to come by 2-3 times per day depending on your pets needs! I would do an early morning visit at around 7am, a check in at 3-4pm, and an additional check in later in the evening depending on your needs. I’m happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you! I will care for your pets as I do my own! I understand that each pets needs will be different and will make accommodations as needed. You know your pets best, so I will follow all instructions provided to ensure the best care.

About: Besides my experience with my own pets I began volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society at 17. After that I went on to dog sit for various different families part time for around 3 years. I have a big window of availability currently. I’m going back to school in the fall, but until then I am just working part time. I work for my grandpa, so my schedule is super flexible! When I dog sit in the clients home I will follow your instructional list for feeding/walks/ activities/ grooming ect. I have car so I can take your pup to nearby parks/ dog parks if you would like, or just for a classic stroll around your neighborhood if you prefer. For clients that would prefer I take car if you dog in my home I have a fenced in back yard and live near several park so we can go on several adventures. Or just chill at home if you have a senior/ more low energy dog. My only deal breaker is that your dog isn’t reactive towards cats.

I have always adored both cats and dogs, and I'm deeply committed to understanding their behavior/needs both in general and as individuals. Though I wasn’t able to have my own cat until early adulthood, I have always been fascinated by them. After taking an animal behavior course in high school, my awareness of the communication potential between humans and all animals increased dramatically, and my ability to communicate with cats and dogs especially benefitted. Since then, I have developed not just a passion but a real knack for genuine, effective, and compassionate communication with our furry friends. What’s my secret? To me, each and every cat or dog is an individual first and foremost, and deserves to be treated as such. I take great joy in meeting all of them and revel in the experience of getting to know their unique personalities, quirks, and preferences. Above all, I respect them and meet them wherever they are. There's just nothing quite like the love and appreciation you receive from an animal who has just realized they can truly trust you with their needs! As for experience, I spent much of 2019 working at a large pet store, where I received thorough training in basic dog behavior and the prevention/de-escalation of aggressive encounters involving both humans and multiple canines. Over the last 10 years, I have provided as-needed pet and house sitting services primarily to friends with 1-2 cats or small-medium dogs. I also have experience with elderly cats as well as those with other special needs, so I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, inhaled, or topical). Prior to that, I raised my first cat from a kitten through early adulthood (3 years total). Until recently, I was also caring for my own cat, Scully, whom I adopted as a terrified, traumatized kitten 7 years ago and have since transformed into a curious, mischievous little lovebug! It took some time and oh so much patience, but rehabilitating and socializing her has easily been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Unfortunately, she now lives out-of-state with her other parent, but on the flipside this leaves me with plenty of time and flexibility to accommodate your pets and your schedule! I currently cannot care for animals in my home, but I genuinely prefer offering in the pet's home environment, where they are most comfortable, anyway. I also own my own, very reliable vehicle, so I do not mind traveling up to 30 minutes from my location in Outer SE Portland. I also currently have the flexibility to accommodate almost any schedule, including multiple overnights, so please don't hesitate to reach out for a quote! NOTE: Although I absolutely adore big dogs, I am unable to offer dog-walking services to pooches weighing over 40lbs. I currently have the flexibility to accommodate almost any schedule, both drop-ins and overnights. I require small windows of time in the morning and evening to care for my own cat, but otherwise my days are very open. I am currently unable to provide care in my own home. However, when providing care in a client’s home, I am always careful to ask about and document any risk factors that might already exist in the home. I generally default to the pet parent’s knowledge of and rules for their own animals, but I’m also careful to maintain my own knowledge of house plants and food items that can be toxic or deadly to pets.
