“Reagan is a true gem! Very communicative, responsive and willing to go out of her way to make sure our animals are well taken care of. We have a dog sit with her next month for a week and couldn’t feel more at ease with it. We’re so glad we found her and highly recommend if you’re looking for a caring pet sitter!”
“Michelle was great with our challenging kitty! He loved her, even though he showed some attitude towards her on 1 day, which she dealt with professionally. The house was clean and dishes were washed. Everything was great!”

“Tiana was great with our two senior kitties. We hadn’t left them in a long time and I was very nervous about it, but she had great communication and did fantastic! We can’t wait to have her back again!”

“Melissa was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond while caring for our cats and made us feel so comfortable knowing they were in such great hands. She was attentive, reliable, communicative, and clearly went the extra mile to make sure everything was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter and would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

“I highly recommend Ronda! They provided excellent care for our shy kitties, ensuring not only basic needs but also working on gaining the kitties’ trust (and our kitties don’t trust easily), giving them affection and playtime. Ronda even helped us by cleaning the kitties’ hairball oopsies! Reliable, trustworthy, and great communication throughout (I loved the daily pics). Our kitties seemed happy and content upon our return. A purrfect choice for any cat parent(s)!”

“Cheryl was an excellent dog sitter for us! It was out first time having her take care of our fur baby, Lola. Cheryl had a good connection with Lola right away during the meet and greet and also communicated well with us then in helping us get to know her a bit and about the logistics of the care. During the 4 day pet sitting gig with a few drop in visits each day, she did an excellent job keeping us in the loop during each visit about how Lola seemed or what she did. That and the fact that she added pictures each visit helped me feel Lola was getting well cared for. Some of the pics were adorable, I might add :). Oh yeah, and she generously even left us some human treats on her last visit! I will definitely reach out to Cheryl again for future fur baby care needs!”

“Alyson is amazing! Our babies were cared for and loved on and we are so happy to have found Alyson!! It’s such a relief to know that we can go out of town and have someone so reliable and pet friendly to bed checking on Gracie and Annie for us. Alyson is our definite go to! =)”

“I almost don't want to tell everyone how great she is because I want her all to myself when we need a sitter! Anneliese is a wonderful person first and foremost - not only did our 3 dogs LOVE her, but she is also so polite and considerate. She was happy to get down at their level and play with them on the floor the way they love most. She even offered to vacuum the house if she noticed fur accumulation, but I told her that was not necessary. This will be our new go-to sitter. Love her!!”

“Emily is the best, this is my second time with her and I would rebook her in a heartbeat. I am extremely cautious with my animals and Emily has always made me feel beyond comfortable that they’ll be taken care of, no matter what comes up. Cannot recommend enough!”

“We loved having Penny our little girl. Even though she’s a puppy with lots of energy, Penny was patient with her and gave her the attention she needs. Looking forward to having her again in the future!”

About: I've had cats all my life, current have 3. I have two dogs, both German Sheppards, and love taking care of them! Very in tune with physical cues of discomfort and figuring out what the animals need! I've stayed overnight at family members houses for years to take care of their dogs. I work part time at a coffee shop, but can always make time for taking of your fur babies! I have varying availability everyday and would love to work with your schedule! I love spending time with your animals and will be engaged with them the duration of my time with them, whether they love walks or chilling out!
About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. Weekends are mostly free to cuddle and to play with the fur babies. When house sitting or boarding pets I stay close so they be taken care of as needed. I keep my own pets on a schedule feeding, potty breaks and play with puzzles to earn treats. I will follow clients care guidelines to maintain consistency and keep them comfortable while their owners are gone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 3,392 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Boring. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Boring. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
