We had always boarded our dogs in a kennel before so this was our first time leaving them in the house for a quick weekend trip with drop in visits and walks. We came home to happy, well taken care of dogs. Tori did a great job taking care of our cat and now we’ll use her as our go-to sitter for our dogs.

Princess was super awesome. My little Lexi is a very shy dog to people upfront but for some reason Lexi went differently to Princess and greeted her. She took a lot of pictures and spent the full 30 minutes walking Lexi. She made me feel at ease and made sure Lexi was safe. I 100% recommend Princess.

About: Hi! My name is Nickolas, I currently work early mornings and I get off at 1 pm. I am looking for reoccurring clients (daily or weekly) that need some assistance with their animals. I have experience from puppies, dogs, cats, geckos, and snakes. I am slightly allergic to cats, so overnight stays wouldn’t be ideal, but drop in feedings are no problem. I work 5am - 1pm Monday - Friday, so any time after 1 pm on weekdays I am able to provide services for whatever you are looking for. I currently have a dog, two geckos, and a snake. These animals have given me more than adequate amount of experience over the years of having them. I am caring and very observant when it comes to animals, so no injuries / infections will slip by!

Kena is fantastic! She’s clearly very comfortable with large dogs and handled my 100lb Doberman shepherd with ease, a calm demeanor, and gentle confidence. I really appreciate her professionalism, punctuality, and great communication too! You can tell she’s very experienced with dogs and dog behaviors and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my pup in her capable hands at the off leash dog park, knowing that her sense for behaviors and how to interact with them would keep him safe. Will definitely be booking with Kena again!

About: I have had dogs since I was 16. Cats since I was 20. I have also owned various other animals, including livestock. My schooling helped me learn general animal care and I have had the same dog trainer for 20 years. Our pets have regular vet care. I pet sit for friends and family often, both at their homes and in our own home. Just informational, I do live with males, including teens, who have attended dog training classes and help when I need to step out if the house. I also have a very large yard for lots of running and exercise. I work fill time, but remote. I can choose to be from home or in office so am available to watch pets at home all day, when needed. We have a large fully fenced yard. We do have chickens, but they are gated in their own area. I have a pet gate to keep dogs from going downstairs unattended and a door as backup. I provide a pet water fountain for constant fresh and flowing hydration. Pets get regular treats and training refreshers to keep their minds sharp and engaged. My house is inundated with both cat and dog toys for constant entertainment.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats and even birds/reptiles of both friends and family before. I use to work in the pet field and have a love of all animals. Ive owned animals of many kinds. I did also train for a short time as both a dog and cat groomer. I have owned and cared for special needs, senior and young animals too. I also have some experience with administering medicines to both cats and dogs. I am currently working part time as a security officer and don't have a set schedule so i have alot of free time to spend with your pups or kits. I can offer several hours a day of enrichment and am willing to travel to please your puppies or kitties. I love outdoor adventures or just sitting at home one the couch cuddling if that what you and your pets prefer. I will care for your dogs in your home as you would like. If your dog has a set schedule and routine, i have no issues with following this. Same for your feline friends. I have no issues following your instructions as written and will do my best to make it a fun and positive experience for both you and your pet.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep commitment to treating every pet like family and my well-rounded experience with dogs at every life stage and temperament. I have hands-on experience training puppies, helping them build positive habits through structure, patience, and consistency. I’ve also worked with dogs who’ve shown previous aggression or reactivity and know how to create a calm, controlled environment that supports behavior management and trust-building. In addition, I’ve cared for senior dogs post-surgery, including those needing extra support with mobility, comfort, and detailed medication schedules. I’m confident managing complex care routines and always prioritize the pet’s well-being, safety, and emotional needs. Whether your dog is energetic, anxious, aging, or needs a little extra help, I adapt my care to meet them where they are. I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely love building a bond with every pet I care for. You can trust that your dog will be in thoughtful, experienced, and loving hands while you’re away. With a background in pharmacy and medication management, I bring a high level of attention, care, and reliability to every cat or dog I look after. I have a senior black lab of my own, so I truly understand the importance of routine, patience, and gentle companionship—especially for aging pets or those with special medical needs. My schedule is mostly available evenings and weekends as I do work a full-time job. Whether your pet needs quiet companionship, playtime, walks, or help with medications, I tailor my approach to their unique personality and needs. I’m experienced with a wide range of pet temperaments, from affectionate lap cats to active dogs or more independent animals, and I always prioritize their comfort and well-being. With me, your cat or dog will be in calm, capable hands—and you’ll get regular updates so you can relax knowing they’re safe, loved, and cared for just like family For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on making each visit calm, positive, and tailored to your pet’s needs. During drop-ins, I follow your care instructions closely—whether that includes feeding, fresh water, medications, litter box scooping, or just giving your pet some love and attention. I take time to make sure your cat or dog feels safe, seen, and cared for before I leave. For walks, I make sure your dog gets exercise and mental stimulation while staying safe and comfortable. I’m happy to adjust the pace and route based on their energy level, age, or mobility. I always prioritize leash safety, weather-appropriate care, and positive interactions. For overnight stays, I always leave each home in its original condition. I recognize I’m a guest in someone’s sacred space and I treat it as such. I am considerate of other’s homes and do what I can to ensure animals feel safe and comfortable with me in their space. I always appreciate detailed care instructions for overnight stays but I do listen, ask lots of questions at meet and greets, and take detailed notes of my own so I don’t forget anything. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and communicative. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands!

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
