About: I have had dogs since I was 16. Cats since I was 20. I have also owned various other animals, including livestock. My schooling helped me learn general animal care and I have had the same dog trainer for 20 years. Our pets have regular vet care. I pet sit for friends and family often, both at their homes and in our own home. I work fill time, but remote. I can choose to be from home or in office so am available to watch pets at home all day, when needed. We have a large fully fenced yard. We do have chickens, but they are gated in their own area. I have a pet gate to keep dogs from going downstairs unattended and a door as backup. I provide a pet water fountain for constant fresh and flowing hydration. Pets get regular treats and training refreshers to keep their minds sharp and engaged. My house is inundated with both cat and dog toys for constant entertainment.

About: I've taken care of all kids of dogs ever since I can remember I love and care about all animals and I love taking dogs for walks! I'm a stay at home mom at the moment so I'm just looking for extra money to make so I can go out and do more things with my kids! I can definitely help leash train if that's something you would need or train in any other way I've trained every animal I've had so it's pretty easy for me!

About: I grew up having dogs and my friends have always had dogs. I currently do not have a dog but this is a great way for me to get to be around and care for one like it’s my own!!! I’m a small business owner and set my own schedule. Which means I am incredibly flexible. Whether you need me in the early morning or late night I can do it! I am a very calm individual, but I have a playful spirit. I give my animals tons of attention and care. We have conversations all the time. I like them to know they can count on me for their needs and I am also an intuitive person and can pick up on needs and wants just by watching, pets have body language and I am good at reading it. I am very reliable, responsible, considerate, and consistent.

About: Friends and family have always counted on me to take care of their pets. I have a knack for listening to what a dog needs--whether that's a play, someone to just sit with, or whether they're just hungry. While I've watched peoples' standard dogs, I most remember sitting an elderly pug. She was still playful at her age, but still needed special care to ensure she was healthy and happy. If you're looking for a Portlander who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty to make your dog happy while you're away, I'm here for you. I can't wait to meet your furry family member. I think we'll have lots of fun together! I work-part time substituting and working for a non-profit retail store, but I often find I'm overwhelmed with people. Even though animals are demanding, they aren't as much an energy drain. My retail job is on the weekend, and subbing is during the week. I tend to accept subbing jobs the night before or the morning of the assignment, so I'd like 1-2 days advance for when you'd like me to take care of your dog or cat. I first like to know emergency contact info. This usually means the clients, but this can also be a vet. I then like to know the pet's dietary or personal needs as well as their schedule, what sets them off or gets them calm, and their basic personality traits. This helps me ensure I'm able to provide them with the best care. Typically homeowners will have a safe space already for their pet, but I continue that trend by ensuring nothing hazardous is left out. Above all, I try to establish a level of trust with the pet. Once I do, it makes ensuring the safety of the pet easier.
