About: I have loved animals since I was a child. In my life I have owned four dogs and three hamsters. Pets are not just pets to me but family. Any animal with me, I treat as if they’re my own fur baby. You’ll never have to worry about who is taking care of your pet because I take great pride in my work and have a lot of respect for you and your pet. I spent a few years working with my own pets, teaching them tricks, training, and keeping them active, and moved on to working with animals professionally for the past six years. I want your dog to have fun when they’re with me! Life is too short to not have a little fun. I hope to bring that fun into your pet’s life while you’re away! I’m currently working part time with Rover as a dog walker & pet sitter. I am available Weds-Sat from 6am-7pm to provide fun & safe enrichment for your pup! I live in a townhouse within a fenced community, with one small and very friendly dog. I do not have a yard, but have plenty of space to take pups out to potty and lots to sniff. My home is spacious and I have many blankets, toys, treats, and more. I have also installed baby gates to ensure it’s a fun and safe environment for all.

About: I’ve been dog sitting since high school from family to friends. Mostly have experience with dogs. Own one myself cute adorable golden retriever named hina. I work early morning shift at the airport and then have majority of the day to myself so have lots of time in the afternoon. I do live in an apartment but live right next to many trails and a lake. Plus a big dog park where I take mine.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats and even birds/reptiles of both friends and family before. I use to work in the pet field and have a love of all animals. Ive owned animals of many kinds. I did also train for a short time as both a dog and cat groomer. I have owned and cared for special needs, senior and young animals too. I also have some experience with administering medicines to both cats and dogs. I am currently working part time as a security officer and don't have a set schedule so i have alot of free time to spend with your pups or kits. I can offer several hours a day of enrichment and am willing to travel to please your puppies or kitties. I love outdoor adventures or just sitting at home one the couch cuddling if that what you and your pets prefer. I will care for your dogs in your home as you would like. If your dog has a set schedule and routine, i have no issues with following this. Same for your feline friends. I have no issues following your instructions as written and will do my best to make it a fun and positive experience for both you and your pet.

About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. My life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own pet services business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a sighthound, small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a thorough understanding of dog behavior and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining kind, calm and confident when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified, as well as bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared. I’m professional, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy and pride myself on practicing clear and transparent communication. I'm located in the East/SE Portland area, also near Happy Valley and Gresham, and I service most all surrounding areas. In addition to working with dogs, I'm also a part-time jewelry artist and I work out of my home studio. I make my own schedule and usually, always available. I can schedule around most everything. At my home, I have three small rescue dogs that are a bonded pack. We utilize pet gates in our one level, ranch style home, and dog run fencing in our large, fenced backyard. Open to small to small/medium dogs for boarding and daycare.

About: Aloha, My name is Miranda Kaleiopu. I love all animals (but mostly dogs). I’ve had my own pups over the years, and each one has held significance in my life. Currently I have 3 pets. A chiweenie, Siberian husky/german Shepard mix, & a Domestic Bust tabby kitten. They are all the sweetest bunch. My little dog can be more vocal, but he is all bark mostly (little man syndrome in my opinion) but also just protective. They all have never attacked other animals or harmed other animals. My pets are sweethearts & I’m not just being biased. I do have little ones (3 & 7 year old) as well. They love animals too & enjoy playing with them & helping sometimes. Besides experience from taking care of my own animals & my past rover clients, I’ve actually worked at a vet clinic for over a year. I do have more knowledge now (but ofc I am not a vet) but I do feel more confident now than I did previously. I do live in an apartment, but it has a dog park. I will be taking them there a couple times besides walking. Let me know if you want them to just go for walks. For boarding, I would like for you to provide a kennel (if you have one), bed, a toy, and enough food to supply your pet till pick up day. For walking, I can only do evening walks unless it is on Saturday or Sunday. I will have a more open schedule starting in Sept, but currently I’m open on the weekends and around work hours. I will make it work. I just do the normal day to day plus whatever the pet may need. I do prefer for owner to bring their pet, pet bed, bowls, & a toy or something for comfort.

About: I have been caring for animals for over 40 years and truly love being around them. Over the years I've owned and cared for dogs cats chickens goats and ducks so I'm very comfortable with different personalities needs and routines. I currently have a 17 lb rat terrier named Dutton who I've had since he was 12 weeks old. He is now almost 5 years old and absolutely the love of my life. Because of him I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and know they're being treated like family. My home is set up to be safe and comfortable for dogs I have a fully fenced backyard with a dog run, as well as a dog door so they can come and go in and out freely. I offer weekend overnight boarding and make sure every dog in my car gets attention affection and a calm loving environment. If you need longer boarding needs we can discuss that. Take care of something I generally enjoy and prioritize in my routine. During the weekdays Im home most of the day and maintain a consistent schedule at home with morning and evening care. On weekends I'm home much more and able to give pets my full attention. This is when I offer overnight boarding so your dog will have plenty of supervision interaction and a relaxed home environment. Because I have a dog door and a fully fenced backyard with a dog run dogs in my care can safely go in and out as needed I make sure they are comfortable, cared for, and treated like part of the family while they're with me. I have a fully fenced backyard. With the dog run. A dog door so they can go in and out when they please. This gives the dog an opportunity to venture into the backyard as they like.

About: I've had many pets since I was a young child. My grandparents had a farm so I've had experience with all sorts of animals. My dream is to have an animal sanctuary some day. I believe it's important to provide care to an animal in their home to limit stress and disruption to their normal routine. I have 3 dogs at home. Many of my home cleaning clients have animals so I'm exposed to all types of pets on a daily basis. Walking dogs provides exercise not only to the dog but for me as well. Providing care and a routine that the animal is used to is important to me. Communication with the pet parent is key to a successful experience with any animal.

About: Friends and family have always counted on me to take care of their pets. I have a knack for listening to what a dog needs--whether that's a play, someone to just sit with, or whether they're just hungry. While I've watched peoples' standard dogs, I most remember sitting an elderly pug. She was still playful at her age, but still needed special care to ensure she was healthy and happy. If you're looking for a Portlander who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty to make your dog happy while you're away, I'm here for you. I can't wait to meet your furry family member. I think we'll have lots of fun together! I work-part time substituting and working for a non-profit retail store, but I often find I'm overwhelmed with people. Even though animals are demanding, they aren't as much an energy drain. My retail job is on the weekend, and subbing is during the week. I tend to accept subbing jobs the night before or the morning of the assignment, so I'd like 1-2 days advance for when you'd like me to take care of your dog or cat. I first like to know emergency contact info. This usually means the clients, but this can also be a vet. I then like to know the pet's dietary or personal needs as well as their schedule, what sets them off or gets them calm, and their basic personality traits. This helps me ensure I'm able to provide them with the best care. Typically homeowners will have a safe space already for their pet, but I continue that trend by ensuring nothing hazardous is left out. Above all, I try to establish a level of trust with the pet. Once I do, it makes ensuring the safety of the pet easier.

About: I am a dog groomer and sitter of 3 years, I have a standard poodle and a Mexican hairless dog. I also show my Mexican hairless dog in akc dog shows. I have experience with reactive dogs, intact dogs, and primitive dogs. My specialty is aloof breeds as I love the connection and bond, it makes it even more special when they trust you. I work full time as a dog groomer and admin at barkzone, but your pup would be able to come with me and hang out in the office safely away from the other pups with fresh water and access to a backyard for supervised potty time I have a separate dog room for feeding time and kennels for unsupervised time away from them. If they need to sleep in a kennel I have extras or they can sleep with me. I do not have a fenced yard but I can offer structured walks around the block or to the parks! And lots of play time
