Fenced Yard! Home All Day! 5-Stars!

With over 20 years of dog care experience and the privilege of having a house with a newly built large pet-safe fenced in backyard, I can guarantee that your pet will be safe and well taken care of. Even though the dogs have access to the backyard, I would never leave a pet unattended back there. I only watch one dog per time so they can have my full attention. I have been dog boarding, walking, bathing, and sitting for years and love what I do. I am passionate about providing excellent care to all animals. I have experience with everything from large, hyperactive dog breeds to old, geriatric pets that need constant medication. If the owner wishes, I can take their dogs on long hikes or runs, however, safety is my top priority. My tall fenced in backyard is fortified even with an underground metal wire for preventing escape artist breeds. If the pet would rather sleep all day as opposed to exercise, I have several couches and pet beds. Unless requested by the owner, I would never kennel a pet. However, I do have a large kennel available if their pet is the shy den type. My beloved dog of 15 years passed away, and I now have a new dog, Leo, a 2-year-old Labradoodle who is very good around all dogs and would be a friendly, easygoing companion for your pet during their stay. I understand that even a short dog walk requires being prepared, including bringing a dog coat/rain jacket, water, a water bowl, doggy bags, and treats/medications as necessary. I also walk several clients’ dogs on a regular basis, so I am a trusted dog walker in the community, giving you peace of mind when entering your home while you’re away! 20+ years of dog boarding, walking, and loving on other people’s dogs taught me how much good food matters. So I started freeze-drying my own, small batch, with real ingredients I’d trust for my own pup Leo 🐕 (2 years old, unofficial taste-tester, official good boy). No fillers, no shortcuts just food made with the same care I’d want for a dog dropped off at my door. ❤️ inquire within

Chris is an awesome pet sitter! He did a wonderful job taking care of my pups, Rumi and Nala. He accommodated our stay with only a few days notice and was easy to communicate with. He sent plenty of sweet photos and updates during their stay :)

My wife and I were in a pinch as both are go-to Rover sitters were unavailable during our recent 10 day trip out of the country. We opted to go with Chris based on his ratings and that he lived near a park. Chris did a wonderful job with watching Dexter and ensured he got enough exercise each day. He even took him camping which is something Dex really enjoys. I was pleased with the amount of updates I received from Chris and i was never concerned for Dex during our trip. Would certainly consider Chris again in the future.

Chris was a great dog-sitter! He was very thorough in asking questions at the meet-and-greet so I could tell would be very responsible with taking care of our pup. He sent us updates every day with multiple pictures and took our high energy dog to the park to play. We could tell Sunny was happy and well-taken care of when we picked her up! Highly recommend Chris and will definitely book him again!

Safety, trust & environment

I have lots of time off to dedicate taking your dog on adventures and making sure they get the care they need. Safety is my number one priority!

A typical day

I love hiking and nature, so your high energy breed would get daily exercise around many of Portland’s hiking trails. Frequent trips to Normandale Park, Portland’s best dog park. Comfort of a large warm house with plenty of dog beds, animal loving roommates, and although I’d never leave your dog unattended, they’d have constant access to my large backyard with a fence and gate which I reinforced to prevent jumping or digging breeds from escape. Car riding in style with a special dog safety “hammock” + dynamic seatbelt (for dogs with harness) , plenty of plush blankets, chew toys, and portable water bowl. **During extreme temperatures, I would never take an animal with me in the car**

I love all animals and breeds, but every dog I sit must at least be potty trained. I’ve owned dogs/cats/reptiles/small mammals my entire life. Cared for sick pets at home, work, animal shelters and have administered medications. Volunteered at No-Kill animals shelters. Worked for vets/groomers/pet stores. Taken Zoology Classes.
