About: Hello! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and and excited to get to know yours and help out this summertime! For almost 15 years, I helped raise and take care of my family dog, Dakota. She was terrier mix who loved to play and eat like there’s no tomorrow! A few years after she passed, my sister adopted a puppy, and being a dog aunt has healed my heart once again! I love seeing dogs grow into their own personalities and learn from real world experiences. I feel that helping raise puppies, and continuing to care for them as they age gives me first hand insight on how dogs should be treated for best results: with patience, attention, and compassion. I feel confident giving commands and helping with basic training to puppies and actives, while also being more than happy to sit and chill with others :) Starting in June, I will be off for summer break from my job and will be available almost every day. I have pretty open availability on the weekends and am flexible to change things up. I’m looking forward to having a bit of a mixed schedule and taking things as they go. When sitting in a clients home, I think it’s important to make sure your fur baby feels comfortable since it is their space after all! I will do everything I can to help, whether it’s trying to play or get outside for a walk, but if it’s simply not happening and your pup is feeling nervous about someone they’re unfamiliar with in their home, then I will never push a boundary.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve had family dogs growing up and had a dog of my own in my early twenties, so caring for them has always been a part of my life. Around 2020, friends and coworkers started asking me to house sit while they traveled, and that’s when I realized how much I genuinely enjoy caring for other people’s homes and especially thier pets. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities... from tiny Chihuahuas and miniature Poodles to Huskies, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans. I’ve also spent some time with cats, hamsters, bunnies, and lizards. Unfortunately I have retired for caring for cats due to allergies. I know that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, some love long walks, and others just want someone cuddles. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I’ve even helped reinforce basic training, taught a few fun tricks, and worked on some very simple behavioral habits when owners have appreciated. I believe consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement go a long way. When your dog is with me, they’ll be treated like my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your best friend is getting plenty of attention, exercise, affection, care until you’re back home. I’m currently a surgical technology student, and my classes are scheduled in the mornings, which means I’m available most afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and quality time with your pets. Trusting someone with your animal is a huge deal. I am big on personal integrity and respect. I know every pet is different, so I like to stick as closely as possible to the routine they’re already used to. Whether that means long walks, playtime in the yard, keeping up with feeding schedules, or just hanging out on the couch together, I’m happy to do whatever helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. Safety is always my biggest priority. I’m especially careful on walks, pay attention to each dog’s personality and body language. This means, my phone is away… unless I sneak a really cute picture of your pup. I also know how important it is to trust the person staying in your home, so I’ll treat your space with respect and leave it just the way I found it. Sterling was an excellent sitter. He took care of our cats, dogs, horses, and aquarium while we were away over the Thanksgiving holiday. He sent us pictures and updates of our pets and was great with our four month old puppy who is a handful and still in house training mode. Our Great Dane is on allergy and heart medication and Sterling handled that too. He wasn’t afraid to ask questions if he needed information.
