“Yan did an amazing job caring for our two senior, reactive dogs for three days, including overnights. We received multiple photos and updates each day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs looked relaxed, happy, and comfortable the entire time—it honestly seemed like they didn't even miss us! We would absolutely book with Yan again and highly recommend them.”

“Jessica was my dog’s anxiety shaman through the NYE fireworks. She calmed my dog and was her absolute best and caring friend. My dog’s best experience having someone watch her on a holiday with fireworks!”

“Highly Recommend Madeline! We had such a wonderful experience with Madeline! This was our first time ever using a pet sitter, so we were understandably a little nervous—especially because our dog can be somewhat challenging. Madeline was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and immediately put us at ease. She was incredibly timely, responsible, and attentive. We really appreciated the updates she sent throughout the overnight stay—they were just the right amount and gave us peace of mind knowing everything was going well. The photos she shared were an especially nice touch, and we loved being able to see our dog happy and comfortable while we were away. Madeline handled everything so professionally and clearly has a genuine love and understanding of animals. By the time we returned, we felt completely confident that our dog had been well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with a pet sitter. Madeline was wonderful, and we would absolutely trust her with our dog again. Highly, highly recommend!”

“From the first time we met, and Ollie and Winnie met Dylan we felt an easiness. The dogs didnt response in a negitive way, but only wiggled, licked and snuggled with him. It made us feel so comfortable and at ease. Thank you Dylan for taking such good care of both our fur babies, but our house was still spotless and our flowers were watered and taken care of. We will use you again.”

“Jill went above and beyond for our Joey! She sent us so many pictures and updates, we're helicopter parents so we really appreciated the communication! She correctly gave him his meds and took great care of our home. Thank you Jill! You went above and beyond!”

“Kristy was lovely. Clear in communicating and easy to coordinate. She was able to get my shy cat to come out of hiding and be happy. Hands down one of the best pet sitter I have hired.”

“Susanna was great. She was considerate of my dog, family and home. Her care allowed me to focus on my work away from home. Dasher welcomed me with ease upon my return which to me means he was not frantic with anxiety while I was away. Peace of mind for me and my boop.”

“Fantastic sitter, my dogs immediately loved her and she took excellent care of them and our home. Our dogs have high needs, pill regimens, and are aggressive towards other dogs and she handled all of it so well!”

“Breauna was amazing with our dog Joey! He has some anxiety especially when he's separated from us but she did a great job of taking care of him and making him feel secure. She exceeded expectations by taking him on walks that were not necessary and sending us lots of pictures and updates! She was also very respectful of our home and we came back to the place just as neat as we had left it. Very kind and amazing vibes, well definitely be using her again!! Thank you so much!!!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Izzy and the care she provided for our two cats while we were away. Having someone stay in our home and care for our boys, especially with one of them having significant medical needs- requires an incredible amount of trust, and Izzy truly exceeded our expectations. Our cat Orange has Congestive Heart Failure and requires a very specific care routine. Before leaving, I prepared a detailed Care Packet with instructions for his medications, monitoring, and what to watch for. Izzy followed everything to a T. She administered his oral heart medications every morning and evening with ease and took his care extremely seriously. What impressed me even more was that she created her own tracker in her notes to record Orange’s resting respiratory rate (breaths per minute/BPM) and consistently monitored him according to the guidelines I provided. As a pet parent with a medically complex cat, having someone who was willing to be this attentive and thorough gave me an incredible amount of peace of mind while we were away. Izzy was also extremely communicative throughout the entire stay. She sent us updates and photos every day, kept us informed about how both boys were doing, and made it clear they were getting plenty of attention, cuddles, and love. ❤️ She was also incredibly respectful of our home. We never asked or expected her to clean, but she went out of her way to leave our home exceptionally clean and cared for. She was so thoughtful and detailed, and coming home to everything so beautifully taken care of was such an unexpected and appreciated gesture. She truly treated our home with the same level of care and respect that she gave our cats. Before our trip, I had asked Izzy if she would like to have anyone stay with her while we were away so she wouldn’t have to be alone, and she asked if her longtime boyfriend, Taytum, could accompany her. We were happy to have him, and he was incredibly kind, respectful, and trustworthy as well. We felt completely comfortable having them both in our home and around our boys. It is not easy for me to leave Orange because of his heart condition, so finding someone I can genuinely trust with his medications, respiratory monitoring, and overall well-being means everything to me. Izzy was responsible, attentive, communicative, caring, respectful, and incredibly thorough. I would absolutely trust Izzy with our boys and our home again without hesitation. I highly recommend her, especially to anyone looking for a sitter who is comfortable following detailed care instructions or caring for a pet with additional medical needs. We came home to two very loved and well-cared-for boys, an immaculate home, and the feeling that everything had truly been in good hands while we were away. We are so grateful for Izzy! 🧡💛”

“Janesia was a fantastic sitter and we are looking forward to booking her again. Great communication from the beginning of her stay right till the very end. There is no better feeling than coming home from vacation to a clean house and happy dogs!”

“Did an amazing job of taking care of my two pups. Especially with one being dog aggressive she took extra precautions and did everything I asked. She sent me tons of pictures which I loved and was a very good at communicating. She stayed the night and had the house as I left it and even washed my sheets and made my bed after! All in all I’d recommend macynn for all your dogs needs will be going back for sure!”

“An incredibly thoughtful, kind, thorough, and all-around fantastic dog-sitter. We hired Anthea to care for our two pups (one a young very timid yet somehow still energetic yorkie mix rescue pup, the other a geriatric parsons Russell terrier who is dealing with some doggie dementia), and she was incredible. Met both dogs where they were were at and went above and beyond in the care for the pups and the care for our home. Gave our pups lots of attention, exercise, and love; gave us detailed updates and lots of photos on how the pups were doing; and we retuned to a home in better condition than it was when we left for the weekend! The Mary Poppins of dog-sitters!”

I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your fur-babies, and I have a lot of experience with a wide range of ages, needs and puppy personalities. I am an avid runner and naturist and love taking dogs on the myriad trails and walks surrounding our area. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and play time if they want it, or could be a total lounge and snuggle-bug in the calm indoors. I'm happy to tailor my care to your dog's needs and routine. I am happy to keep you updated on how your pet's stay is going, ready to send those glamor shots your way. I'm also adept at getting even the most stubborn of pups to take their medications without fuss. We can't wait to meet you and your four-legged bestie! I work from home and my wife has weekends, holidays and Summers off. Between us, we have a lot of time, energy and snuggles to devote to your pup. Our dogs thrive on a set routine for feeding, potty breaks and outdoor adventures, so your friend will be in good company. We have two lovable hounds that enjoy making new friends and we have a secure, fenced yard. My schedule allows for frequent check-ins or stays at your place, should you prefer house-sitting.

“Erin came to our home and stayed with our furbabies while we went to Mexico. She was truly amazing with them, which put us at ease being away from home knowing they were in great care. She provided us with updates and photos throughout her stay. Cooper loved the walks she took him on. And Sasha loved her fun in the sun. We are so appreciative of Erin and the care she provided them. We would definitely book with her again. Thank you so much Erin!”

“Judas did an amazing job with our dogs! One of them got sick right before we left, and Judas was willing to provide the extra care he needed and he did so very lovingly. He handled extra medications and the quirks of our dogs so well, and won over the heart of our shy, anxious boy. He was a great communicator as well! Can’t recommend Judas enough, we knew our boys were in great hands which is always such a relief.”

Macynn did an amazing job taking care of our two high energy boxers. They had a great time while we were gone and it is so great to come home to a clean house and happy dogs (and kitty)! We will definitely use her again!! It was very reassuring, knowing our babies were so well cared for and happy during our absence! Thank you Macynn ❤️

I could not really put into words just how awesome Madeline is. She did so amazing with both our dogs, and especially well with our Shepherd-mix! He can be an interesting one, especially around new folks, but Madeline handled both of our beasts like the professional she is! Will definitely book again! Thanks Madeline!!

Anna is an actual angel when it comes to pet sitters! She took such amazing care of my sweet old man pug, Riley who’s admittedly a bit of a diva and a tad high maintenance. She would report back all of his funny quirks to the point where I knew she wasn’t just doing “a job”- she was bonding with him in a way that made me feel completely as ease and I knew he was receiving the same love I give him. This is rare. She is a GEM! He fell so in looove with her that I actually think he thought she was his new momma while I was out of town for 2 weeks. She stayed in my home while watching him and when I came back, the place was better than I left it, absolutely impeccable! She went above and beyond with cleaning/ laundry so that when I came home, i didn’t have to fuss with anything. Her care for Riley and my home went above and beyond. I even came home to flowers and a sweet card from her as she knew I was away to be with my family as my Grandma went thru hospice. Anna is the type of sitter you want to hire again and again because of the trust she cultivates so easily thru her actions and communication. She’s just such a good human in general. 100/10 DEF RECOMMEND!

Kaeleigh was excellent and very communicative. One of our dogs had an ongoing GI issue that needed extra attention, meds, and unfortunately, clean-up. She handled it like a pro. The dogs took to her and behaved like she was part of the family. It was very easy to see that she had cared for them as we would have while we were away.

Absolutely wonderful! We have two standard poodles that have very specific needs. Megan was great in our home and with the pups. She's responsible, timely, clean, and respectful. I felt confident with her in our house and gave us regular updates! I'll definitely be using her services again

Kristy was stellar! She gave my dog and elderly kitty the sweetest TLC and sent amazing photo and video updates. She was in regular communication throughout the weekend and even washed the sheets and towels before leaving. I'm so glad I found her! I'd ask her back in a heartbeat!

We absolutely loved Ashley. Very kind, and obviously cares about our dogs. She kept 3 dogs at our daughter's house, having to endure a couple of last minute location details because of weather and changing plans. She handled everything with courtesy and professionalism. Highly recommend and will request her again!

Andrew is great. He came over early to meet our 3 littles and do a walkthrough, which was very comforting for us. He also honored our animal-product-free-home rule and was very gracious about it. He stayed over NYE to help us with a housesitting gap, and we had zero issues! Thanks, Andrew!

Rebecca was so kind, gentle and my pup got such good care while I was away. He has epilepsy., so I have been really picky on who I leave him with and often just opt to drive so I can take him with me! Rebecca was such a great communicator, clean, respectful and really responsible for feeding times and medications. He really took to her, which says a lot about who Rebecca is. I will definitely book them again.

Amanda, Sav and Daisy were incredible companions for our dog, Waffles. They all made sure Waffles was spoiled, giving her lots of exercise, treats and cuddles. Our house was very clean and taken care of. Amanda was very communicative and accommodating. I would certainly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Camas walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Camas maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Camas choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
