“This family is so wonderful to Jake, and always so accommodating (appreciate the early morning drop off to make a flight). Thank you for taking such great care of our senior dog!!”

“Danielle is a thoughtful and considerate sitter who always keeps me updated on how my dog is doing. Her dog, Macy, got along great with mine, and she consistently responds promptly and sends photos during the stay. She also has a large yard that my dog really enjoyed. I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands and will definitely be using her again. Thanks, Danielle!”

“Emily was an absolutely amazing dog sitter! She took care of our little girl as if she was her own. The pictures and updates through our trip eased our minds even more. Her little Bowie is the sweetest as well! We were honored to have had the chance to meet them both!”

“Steve did a wonderful job taking care of Tato! He was very responsive to our messages and Tato got plenty of play time with the other dogs that were there! Thanks again!”

“Kristopher was so wonderful with Maya! He has such a calm and gentle demeanor that helped Maya feel at ease when getting introduced to the other pets. He was also very communicative and accommodating during her stay. Highly recommend!”

“I have one easy going dog and one super nervous shy dog! I was really worried about leaving my nervous dog with “strangers” but they really went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. She almost seemed disappointed coming home! Lovely family, would hire again!”

“Matthew and Lindsay provided the best care for our senior dog. He usually experiences separation anxiety but was immediately comfortable in their house. They were also flexible with our ever changing situation. Highly recommend!!!”
“Julie and Barry took EXCELLENT care of my pup! She can be… energetic ?… and I get nervous leaving her with others but I could tell that they knew how to interact with all types of dogs and I felt so comfortable leaving her with them. They sent pictures and videos every day which helped ease my mind and enjoy my vacation! Thanks again!”

“Carrie and her family were fantastic weekend sitters for our 15 year old, special needs pup. The level of care exceeded our expectations. My dog was a little nervous for the first night, and they did everything they could to bring him a little more comfort. We appreciate all the little details via text, photos, and I know he was happy and safe with lots of lap cuddles. I would highly recommend them, and we are so grateful. Trustworthy, compassionate, and professional communicators. Thank you!”

“Melissa is great with dogs! I could tell my dog trusted her right away and was wagging her tail as I left. Melissa kept me up to date and was really helpful in modifying the stay when my schedule changed. You can tell Melissa cares about dogs and makes sure they are well cared for.”

“My doggos have never been more chill! When I picked them up Shauna walked them out and they were genuinely surprised to see me standing there. They were well cared for and we will want to be on the repeat list! Big thanks for all the good care and snuggles too.”

“Marta was absolutely wonderful with our Great Dane, Toby. She provided a clean and welcoming home, and was so flexible when our vacation plans changed. She took Toby to the dog park, and he came home happy and well-behaved. Her own dog was also very sweet and adjusted easily to playing with Toby and sharing their space. I felt confident knowing Toby was in great hands. I would absolutely book with Marta again when we’re in the area—thank you so much for taking such good care of our puppy!”

“Rosemary you are the best. Thank you for taking such good care of Piper and sending all the wonderful photos! Your place is just a slice of tranquility and I am sure Piper loved soaking it all in!”

“Kristen did a wonderful job watching our dog. I love that she sends daily updates and pictures. We always feel comfortable having Kristen watch our pup. Thanks Kristen!”

“This is the third time we have boarded Milo with James and also my second review. Yesterday, Milo’s enthusiasm went into overdrive right when we pulled up to James’s house. Put simply, James is a top notch sitter.”

“Becky was great! She communicated quickly before and throughout. But most importantly, she took great care of my pets! I will definitely re-book with her in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Camas
Rochelle and her family were absolutely amazing! It was our first time leaving our dog anywhere other than a kennel. She listened to all of our concerns and made all of the accommodations to make us feel comfortable in leaving him. We received several check-ins and photos/videos which made our trip out of town worry-free. He loved playing with the kids and made himself right at home. We will definitely be using Rochelle for any future needs.

Tracy and her family were so great with our pup but even more so they were very understanding when our plans unexpectedly changed due to a family emergency. She stayed very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. Thank you, Tracy! It was so nice knowing Luna was in good hands while we navigated our situation.

Finley had a great time with Angie and Ethan, lots of walks and play, and a nice settled environment, which I'm sure he loved! Angie was very communicative and sent me lots of photos and updates. I would be very happy to have them care for Finley again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
