I believe that your pet should enjoy their vacation time as much as you enjoy yours! That's why I provide a safe, comforting, and enriching environment with daily fun activities to keep them stimulated and happy until they can be with their favorite people again. I am a lifelong animal lover with more than 20 years of experience raising and caring for dogs, chickens, horses, and many types of small animals. I grew up on a small farm in southern Oregon and, thanks to my science-teacher dad, got lots of experience caring for the many species of critters he brought home from the rural high school he taught at. I raised sheep, rats, birds, even a salamander. My bond with animals is so strong that I've been vegetarian for most of my life. I have recent experience caring for senior dogs and am happy to make accommodations for pets needing some extra care or help getting around. Your dog will receive the same love and attention that I give my own sweet pup!

Schedule
I am a stay-at-home mom so I'm home most of the day, every day, caring for my own pup and family. I can accommodate your dog's special schedules and needs, such as more-frequent walks for senior dogs and special meal times. Your dog will receive the attention and care they need all day long.

Safety, trust & environment
Each day begins with a walk tailored to your dog's energy level and needs. Most days we will also enjoy an additional walk later in the day as well. Dogs remain leashed at all times. At home, my yard is fully fenced with soft grass and lots of afternoon shade. Dogs have access to outdoor space all day long as needed. Our home is clean and comfortable with dog-friendly furniture. I currently limit my availability to two well-vetted guest dogs at a time, so your dog will enjoy a low-key dynamic and lots of attention while they're here. I require a meet-and-greet for each new pet prior to their stay so they can become familiar and comfortable with the environment of our home before their visit, and to ensure that they have an opportunity to meet my dog, Tootsie.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs will enjoy a minimum of one walk each day. We often go out twice or even three times, depending on weather and energy levels. Dogs enjoy walks through our quiet and safe neighborhood and along the trails in our community.
