I’m not an early riser, and my day typically starts around 7:15 AM so I can fit in a walk before work. On weekends, I like to keep at least one morning for sleeping in until around 8:00 to 8:30 AM. If your pup is consistently up before dawn, I may not be the best fit.

Safety, trust & environment
I look for dogs who are house-trained, able to adjust well to a new environment, and can settle comfortably when I need to step out. I love vocal play, excitement, and all the personality that comes with a happy dog. The only behavior that would not be a good fit for my home is persistent barking when left alone. Leash skills and responsiveness to basic commands are also important. I’m happy to care for shy, timid, or special-needs pups, but I do not accept aggressive behavior. A safe, calm environment is a must for both your dog and me. My home is two stories, and I’m upstairs most of the day during the workweek. I do have a fenced yard, but because it’s mulch and accessed by a long staircase, I prefer walks and outdoor enrichment as the primary form of exercise. I do not feed table scraps. If approved, your pup may enjoy fruits or vegetables as treats. Dogs are welcome on the furniture with a blanket, and there’s a daybed in my office for any pup who wants to stay close while I work.

Information Angie P. would like to know about your pet
I like to meet pet parents and their dogs in person before booking so we can make sure it feels like the right fit for everyone. During our meet and greet, I’ll usually ask about your dog’s routine, personality, and any important care details, including: • whether they’re used to staying in a kennel or someone’s home • how they respond to new environments and new people • whether they have separation anxiety and how it shows up • whether they’re kennel-trained • how they do when left alone • whether they’re territorial in any way • how they are on walks, including any reactivity to other dogs • their routines and preferences for sleep, meals, potty breaks, medication, and play • anything else I should know, such as favorite activities, training cues, allergies, triggers, fears, or past experiences I’m looking forward to meeting you and your dog!
A typical day
I work from home Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and build my day around making sure your pup gets plenty of attention and activity. Walks typically happen around 7:30 AM, 12 PM, and 5 PM, with playtime, potty breaks, and downtime throughout the day. Outside of work, I’m active and love being outdoors. In the summer, pups can enjoy sunshine through the dog door, and with your permission, I’d be happy to include hikes, lake time, or even paddleboarding if it matches their personality and energy level. When I’m home and not outside, I enjoy spending time with friends who are also fellow dog lovers.

Peace of Mind for You, Fun for Them
Pet care experience
Hi there! I’ll be traveling frequently in 2026, so if my calendar shows unavailable, you're still welcome to reach out. After losing my dog Nixon to terminal cancer in 2023, I turned to Rover because I missed seeing the world through a dog’s eyes. Over the past year and a half, caring for dogs has brought me so much joy, and I’m deeply grateful to the families who trust me with theirs. I work remotely, so your pup will get lots of love, attention, and exercise. I’m a big fan of three 30+ minute walks a day, rain or shine, and I love exploring nearby trails with a furry companion. I grew up with Rottweilers and have extensive experience with Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Shepherds. I respect that every dog is different, whether they’re social or prefer their own space. I’m also experienced with higher-needs care, including gastrointestinal issues, pancreatitis, cancer, and palliative support, and I’m familiar with excellent veterinary specialists in the Vancouver/Portland metro area. In our home, your dog is family. I want you to feel confident that they’ll be loved and well cared for while you’re away.

The best, as always!!!

My dog is picky about the people she likes and she definitely likes spending time with Angie!

Finley had a great time with Angie and Ethan, lots of walks and play, and a nice settled environment, which I'm sure he loved! Angie was very communicative and sent me lots of photos and updates. I would be very happy to have them care for Finley again in the future!

Our girl Tillie Bean loves to stay with Angie and has done well with her while we are away. It is such a relief knowing she is good hands and that she is having her own special getaway with Angie. Thanks for loving our special little lady🐾
