About: I've spent the last 13 years as the proud owner of a reactive dog, which means I truly understand the nuance, patience, and trust that goes into caring for dogs with big personalities. That experience has made me a more attentive, calm, and thoughtful caregiver for every dog I meet. Beyond my own pup, I've volunteered as a dog walker with the Humane Society, where I worked with dogs of all temperaments and backgrounds. I've also been a reliable go-to sitter and walker for family and neighbors for years. Whether your dog is shy, energetic, selective with strangers, or needs a little extra patience, I get it, and I've got you covered. Your pet will always feel safe, loved, and right at home with me. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life! I work a flexible schedule, which means I'm available as needed: mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Whether you need a last-minute walk or a planned sitting arrangement, I can usually make it work. Your dog will never have to wait long for attention, a bathroom break, or some good playtime! Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priority. I have a securely fenced yard where dogs can run, sniff, and play freely. My own dog has been my companion for 13 years, so I'm well-versed in reading dog behavior and keeping things calm and safe. I'm experienced with reactive dogs and know how to create a low stress environment. I'll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands.

Jill was absolutely amazing!! I contacted her really short notice(the day before) and she came through. She came over to my house the night before and the day of me first reaching out to her. We spent 2 hrs just talking and letting my dog get to know her which was very easy. She came over while I'm on shift and walked Marla and played with her in the yard. I will absolutely be using Jill in the future.

About: For as long as I can remember, I've lived in a household with pets! As a kid, my family had a little shih tzu and then later on we had a huge pit bull mix (we also almost always had at least 3 cats running around, adding to the craziness). I've always loved getting to spend time with animals because of their vastly different personalities, from the lazy pug I currently have to the crazy cats I take care of for friends! I'd love to get the opportunity to spend time with your pet too, whether it's taking them on long walks or just playing with them around the house! I'm currently a full-time employee with lots of flexibility in my hours. I'm available most days from noon until 10pm! Some days may have slight differences in hours based on if I have any work meetings, but I'm always transparent with my availability! I live in a gated apartment complex currently with a large dog park. Because of my current home, I only offer drop-in visits and walks. Because of this, I'd be visiting your home. I believe in treating everyone's home with absolute respect so I'll make sure to follow all rules you set for your space as well as ensure your pets are safe and happy at the end of my visits!

About: Whether you're away for a day or an extended trip, I provide personalized care, fun playtime, and plenty of belly rubs for your furry family member. With a calm presence, flexible availability, and a true love for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and right at home. Walks, cuddles, feeding, meds; I’ve got it covered! It’s just me and my two teenagers in the house - they are 17 and 19 and both have their own cars so I rarely see them! They’ve grown up around having a dog, and continually pressure me to have another one 😵‍💫 We had a bully breed mix, Celine Dion who sadly passed from old age in 2019. She had diabetes towards the end of her life, so I’m familiar with giving medication/shots if necessary. Since then we’ve regularly looked after our friends’ dogs until we fostered Simba in 2024 - we had him for 10 months until he was adopted. Because of having family in England, I want to be able to travel there frequently so am not ready to have a permanent dog again yet, but I LOVE having dogs come and stay with me when my calendar allows. I work from home so have flexibility in my routine and am always available for my visitors’ needs. I like to take a morning walk, and an evening one too. I’m not away from home often. I have a fully fenced yard and my neighborhood has beautiful walking trails, that I use whether I am walking a dog, or just walking alone. I’ve fostered rescue dogs and have experience of high anxiety dogs. I’m 6 feet tall and strong, and my last foster was great with people but not so much with other dogs we met on our walks, so I’m used to avoiding them, if necessary! I am happy to send photos to you whilst your dog is in my care, and will communicate with you as frequently as you would like.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since 2012. I have pet sit dogs of all sizes (some requiring special medication and extra care). I’ve also cat sat for drop-byes as well as overnight. I can change and clean litter boxes, scoop dog poop, vacuum, or anything else regarding animal cleaning necessities. I had dogs my entire childhood and lived with cats during college. I love to walk dogs, practice tricks, and play fetch. I am a substitute teacher currently, so my evenings are free as well as most of the summer. I only have two trips planned, otherwise I am local and eager to help. I would so appreciate having a purpose this summer and being able to provide some for my family as subs don’t get paid during the summer. I would care for pets at the client’s home. Depending on their needs, I would allow the dogs freely outside in a fenced yard or take them on leashed walks around their neighborhood. I would also happily take dogs to the dog park if the owner was comfortable with this and felt this was a safe space for their animal. Depending on distance, this could be via walking or in a car. When I wasn’t at the client’s house, I would have the animals kenneled or freely roaming depending on owner preference. I will ensure no cleaning products or toxic items are left out. I will also ensure water is always refilled.

It’s so clear that Anna loved hanging out with our dog, Daisy, from day 1. After getting to know her at our local park, Anna planned out a new exploratory route that met both Daisy’s physical AND mental stimulation. She is also mindful of modifying times and activities based on the heat advisories we’ve had lately! We will definitely be asking Anna to help us out again in the future!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Camas. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Camas.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camas. On Rover:

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
