Appreciate that Madeline wanted to do a meet and greet before the scheduled walk. She had an immediate connection with my pup, which helps me feel more comfortable with leaving Lily for the day. Madeline responds quickly to messages, which is also appreciated.

I tried to get Oggy to write his review; however, he doesn't type or have opposable thumbs. Oggy seems extremely happy with Jill. We are also very happy with Jill, her interactions with Oggy, and her communication with us.

About: I’ve had dogs, cats and birds all my life. Being raised on a farm gave me plenty of experience with what pets need. Daily walks and lots of space to run around and play. Having no work, I am home everyday with my pets. Take my dog for walks, brush him every-other day and grooming my cat. Taking care of animals is my dream job, so taking care of my animals is just how I live. I have a fenced yard, I have a very playful Siberian husky named Trout. Trout loves other dogs and is full of energy ready to play at all times. I have an emotional support parrot who stays in my room while I have pets over so she will be safe. I also have a very shy cats who likes to stay to herself and out of the way. Your pets will find my home to be safe and fun!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since 2012. I have pet sit dogs of all sizes (some requiring special medication and extra care). I’ve also cat sat for drop-byes as well as overnight. I can change and clean litter boxes, scoop dog poop, vacuum, or anything else regarding animal cleaning necessities. I had dogs my entire childhood and lived with cats during college. I love to walk dogs, practice tricks, and play fetch. I am a substitute teacher currently, so my evenings are free as well as most of the summer. I only have two trips planned, otherwise I am local and eager to help. I would so appreciate having a purpose this summer and being able to provide some for my family as subs don’t get paid during the summer. I would care for pets at the client’s home. Depending on their needs, I would allow the dogs freely outside in a fenced yard or take them on leashed walks around their neighborhood. I would also happily take dogs to the dog park if the owner was comfortable with this and felt this was a safe space for their animal. Depending on distance, this could be via walking or in a car. When I wasn’t at the client’s house, I would have the animals kenneled or freely roaming depending on owner preference. I will ensure no cleaning products or toxic items are left out. I will also ensure water is always refilled.

About: I’ve taken care of mainly dogs for 7 years of all ages and sizes. I know how to take care of senior and young pets, whether it’s training them or giving them the right amount of medication at certain times, and if they need assistance going up/down stairs if they’re not able to. I’m currently looking for work and I am also thinking of going back to school, and I have a lot more free time now so I thought that I would put my time to use and help other people with their pets. I care for my parents older dogs (13 and 14 y/o) by making sure they are let outside whenever they need to, I take them on walks almost daily, I have also given them medication when they have needed it, adjusted their food diet and included wet food since they’re getting older, and I also take them to and from their vet/grooming appointments.

Animal welfare is my top priority as I am an long-standing animal rights activist and 8+ year vegan /12+year vegetarian. Compassionate, quality and safe animal care is my number one goal every single day. In 2015 I rescued my girl Diva From the Oregon Humane Society's Second Chance program, my now Feline companion had been returned to the shelters a whopping 5 times for behavioral trait "issues". When I met this girl, I could not believe how sweet she was and was shocked to hear of her traumatic past. Having raised many cats over the years I felt in my heart she would be a good fit regardless of her adoption/return story. After spending just 10 minutes with her in the bonding room, I decided to bring her home and give her a permanent place of comfort and peace. She has been the absolute best companion and furry friend to have around. After settling down from her traumatic history, she came out of her shell and became the most playful, cuddly curious little protector. Post-Shelter, Diva Leads a happy life running in the fenced yard with our chickens, crows and blue birds. Our newest addition to the fur clan includes Deja Vu a little kitten rescue from the Humane society. She has been a wonderful addition to our menagerie, spending most of her time figuring things out at as a growing kitten, she truly couldn't be any more compatible with our elder, Diva. Please reach out for any questions. I cannot wait to meet your fur friend/s/family! I am currently a student and active volunteer, I am looking to add work into my schedule where ever possible. I am very flexible and love to be up in the early morning. I have a fenced yard large enough for dogs to run around and play in, a spacious home that is stress free. Thank you for considering me as your compassionate pet sitter! As my dream is to have a small business run at home caring for animals, as a fulltime student with a flexible day to day schedule, I am widely available and can accept extended care visits for up to 90 days if you have plans to travel abroad and are looking for a peace of mind when it comes to maintaining your animals routine care needs. Safety and animal welfare are my #1 top priority, animals are extremely intuitive and demanding individuals. With their strong personalities, and my long-standing experience in connecting and building individualized bonds with all animals, I'm firmly confident in my abilities to ensure a secure, safe, protected and loving environment for your pets, so that no part of their routine is disturbed while your away. All animals have distinctive memory, during my visits I positively verbally engage with the animals based to reinforce voice memory and to help them feel at ease, calm and recognized as the wonderful individuals they are.

About: Hi! I’ve owned several pets throughout the years. I had a hamster for three years, I have two dogs currently as well as four cats. I love teaching my animals, tricks, and giving them treats. My oldest cat knows how to spin, hi-five, and sit. I think if you can teach a cat some tricks, that you can teach anybody a trick ha ha! I’ve volunteered at the Humane Society back in Arizona for the last two years before I moved up here to Washington! I currently nanny every other week, I am a special education teacher during the school year. I have lots of free time, which gives me lots of time to hang out with furry friends! It fits into my lifestyle perfectly right now, as I am young, and have all the free time in the world. Caring for a pet, safety, and health always come first. I love, making sure that my furry friend is having all of their needs met, and they are getting stimulated in all of the areas they need to be. My pets follow a strict feeding schedule, as well as a strict diet. They also have strict training, but we allow lots of fun playtime as well.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. What started as a small childhood side hustle of going out of my way to care for other people's dogs has grown into a lifelong passion. I raised my own dog until he was 16, giving me deep, adaptable experience in senior pet care. I also volunteered at the Humane Society, working with animals of all sizes and breeds, especially the misunderstood ones! Whether we're going on a fast-paced walk, hanging out with a lazy Pug, or just cleaning the litterbox and chilling with your cat, I'm ready to treat your pets like my own. As a remote worker, my daily schedule is generally very flexible! I am open throughout the day, but I prefer to schedule most of my walks and drop-ins for anytime after 11 AM or 12 PM. Since I am also a student, my exact availability might shift a bit depending on my course load for the semester, but I will always keep my calendar updated and communicate clearly with you. Because I currently live in an apartment, I exclusively offer walks and drop-in visits at your home. Honestly, I believe that keeping pets in their familiar environment is the easiest and least stressful option for them. When visiting your home, I will be completely respectful of your space, ensure all doors or gates are securely closed, and keep your pets safe and happy in the environment they already know best.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
