About: I’ve had dogs, cats and birds all my life. Being raised on a farm gave me plenty of experience with what pets need. Daily walks and lots of space to run around and play. Having no work, I am home everyday with my pets. Take my dog for walks, brush him every-other day and grooming my cat. Taking care of animals is my dream job, so taking care of my animals is just how I live. I have a fenced yard, I have a very playful Siberian husky named Trout. Trout loves other dogs and is full of energy ready to play at all times. I have an emotional support parrot who stays in my room while I have pets over so she will be safe. I also have a very shy cats who likes to stay to herself and out of the way. Your pets will find my home to be safe and fun!

Appreciate that Madeline wanted to do a meet and greet before the scheduled walk. She had an immediate connection with my pup, which helps me feel more comfortable with leaving Lily for the day. Madeline responds quickly to messages, which is also appreciated.

About: Hello, I’ve always grown up around animals. From farm animals to bunnies and birds. I first started dogsitting with rescue dogs. My first being a fear aggressive rescue. From there, I built my client list with people who have rescue animals and Nextdoor. I currently help watch rescued cats, dogs, horses, sheep and goats and a bird from time to time. I myself have an abuse case rescue Belgian Mallnois. Animals are a part of who I am, and I take care of all of them as if they’re my own :) I currently work part time, and the work is fairly flexible. I am often in vancouver, Washougal, Hazel dell and camas. I have reliable transportation and can be flexible with helping around my work I live on five acres , lots of land that’s fenced for your pup, I like taking them to places for them to run around, plus I own a 30-50 foot leash so if your pup has room to run but is safe to come back. I really believe in mind stimulation to help get their energy out too, mind games/walks really helps. A tired dog is a happy dog 😊

About: I’ve taken care of mainly dogs for 7 years of all ages and sizes. I know how to take care of senior and young pets, whether it’s training them or giving them the right amount of medication at certain times, and if they need assistance going up/down stairs if they’re not able to. I’m currently looking for work and I am also thinking of going back to school, and I have a lot more free time now so I thought that I would put my time to use and help other people with their pets. I care for my parents older dogs (13 and 14 y/o) by making sure they are let outside whenever they need to, I take them on walks almost daily, I have also given them medication when they have needed it, adjusted their food diet and included wet food since they’re getting older, and I also take them to and from their vet/grooming appointments.

About: With lifelong experience caring for both dogs and cats, I’m comfortable handling everything from daily routines and training to senior pet support. I’ve watched many pets for families I work with, including dogs who need structured schedules, anxiety-sensitive care, or oral medications. As a nursing major at Clark College, I bring strong attention to detail, reliability, and compassionate care to every animal I watch. I’m confident adapting to each pet’s unique needs and making sure they feel completely comfortable while you’re away! Every morning I wake up and feed my dog and go outside with him, and during the day we go on a hour walk if he hasn't been outside. I do live on property so most of the time me or my family is outside and he plays outside with us. I've always had a love for animals and I think getting exercise is really important so I love to go on walks and play with my animals!

About: I’m a veterinary assistant with hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m especially confident with senior pets, anxious animals, and those who need medication or extra patience. I’m trained to recognize early signs of illness, stress, or pain—things most sitters miss—and I know how to respond calmly and safely. I’ve handled everything from shy cats to high-energy dogs, and animals naturally gravitate toward me. I treat every pet like they’re my own: lots of affection, structured routines, and zero shortcuts when it comes to their comfort and safety. Whether your pet needs gentle care, enrichment, or just someone they can fully relax with, I’ve got them covered Early in the morning prior to 7am or after 6:30 pm on days I work. 4days a weekday All day and night 3xdays in the week I care for pets by sticking closely to their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and household rules exactly as given. I keep environments clean, calm, and low-stress, especially for anxious or senior pets.

I have a pit bull who pulls when I walk her. She pulls my arm too much to take her on walks so I thought I’d give Rover a try. What a great experience! Will definitely request for Madelyn on her next walk. I could see from my cameras that Lyra was very pleased with her walk and worn out which is what I was hoping for. Madelyn left a nice message about the time she spent with my dog.

About: I've lived in many households, including farms and ranches, with animals of all sorts. I've taken care of cats, dogs, horses, chickens, goats, reptiles, and birds -- As well as having tons of experience in childcare, but that's a separate beast ;D -- I'm attentive, respectful, thoughtful, and kind. Currently I am a line cook and have a small arts business and do this to help support my dreams :) I am a full time online college student and recently got laid off from my remote technical support job so I'm very free and very in need of some gigs to keep my bills paid. I envision myself staying in or checking in with my clients homes to care for furry friends. I'll look out for the health and well being of your pets so that you don't have to worry about them while you're away. Currently, I cannot host any client pets, as I have a skittish rescue cat. My partner stays home with her, though, so I fully free to make sure the critters in your home stay happy, healthy, and cared for.

About: With over 15+ years working with animals, I understand how hard it is to be away from your pets — and how much they mean to you. That’s why getting to know each dog’s individual needs is the first thing I focus on, before anything else. Every dog communicates differently, has different comfort levels, and settles in their own way, and I take the time to learn that instead of assuming one routine fits all. I currently have my own fur ball - a Samoyed — daily grooming, sensitivities to food, and plenty of agility work to keep her fulfilled as a working breed. Caring for her has taught me just how much a dog’s happiness depends on meeting their specific physical and mental needs, not just the basics. Having owned dogs of all sizes over the years, from small to medium breeds, I’ve learned that a high-energy working dog needs something completely different from a laid-back senior — and I adjust my care accordingly, whether that means extra playtime, a quieter pace, or sticking closely to a special diet or routine. My husband and I both work from home, so your dog becomes part of the household, not just a guest. I love the outdoors, so there’s always room for a walk or an adventure with a furry friend by my side. Since I work from home, pet care isn’t squeezed into a rushed morning or evening — it’s woven throughout my day. I take breaks to check in, play, and go for walks, so dogs get consistent attention rather than long stretches alone. Feeding times, walks, and rest periods stay on a steady schedule, and I’m always nearby to notice if something seems off. It also means I can stick closely to a specific routine or diet your dog is used to, without any guesswork Dogs need more than just love and attention — they need real stimulation, both physical and mental. A tired body isn’t the same as a fulfilled mind, and every dog’s needs look different, so I treat that as part of their care, not an afterthought. There are no kennels here — dogs have free roam inside my home, plenty of space to relax and play, and constant updates so you always know how they’re doing

About: Hi! My name is Brooklynn and I have been pet sitting for seven years now. As an animal owner myself, I understand the fear that can arise when leaving your pets alone to go on vacation. My number one priority is to treat your pets with as much love and care as my own. I have experience with dogs big and small, as well as experience using doggy diapers and giving oral medications. I have experience watching up to six dogs at a time! I’m currently a nursing student, so with each day looking a bit different for me, it’s a bit difficult to work. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my schedule however, thanks to no need for a fixed schedule! Communication is a must for me. I want you to know your pets are safe and I want to know I’m caring for your home correctly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
