“So sweet to ghost and super understanding of his puppy energy! Kept me updated throughout the whole experience and really made ghost’s day! Such a huge help!”

About: About me: I’m happy to care for almost any animal, as long as they’re friendly and up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and other routine care. I’m also willing to care for pets with special needs and exotic animals, but these requests are accepted on a case-by-case basis. I’ve cared for over 100 different pets, including exotic animals, through my pet care business and across a variety of pet caregiver platforms. Work schedule and availability: I’m available Monday through Sunday to care for your pets. Whether you’re looking for a long-term or last-minute pet sitter, I’d be happy to accept new clients. Meet and greets: Meet and greets are optional but recommended for first-time clients. If you choose to skip the meet and greet, I require detailed care instructions for your pets. Meet and greets are free when held at my home or conducted over the phone or through a video call. If you'd prefer the meet and greet at your home, I charge a non-refundable travel fee of $1 per mile for round-trip travel. For example, if you live 10 miles away, the travel fee would be $20. The travel fee is due in cash upon my arrival for the meet and greet and must be paid before the visit begins. Boarding: For owners interested in boarding their pets for more than three days, I require a 24-hour trial stay before confirming an extended booking. Before accepting a boarding request, I like to learn more about each pet by asking their owner some questions. This helps me make sure my home and boarding environment are a good fit for everyone involved. I board pets from different families at the same time, but they are kept completely separate at all times and are never allowed to interact with one another. Dogs will be rotated between supervised indoor time and outdoor kennel or indoor crate time before and after my work hours, with feedings scheduled around my work schedule. Fresh water is always available in both the kennel and crate, and food can be left out upon request. When I’m not working, dogs will remain indoors full-time, separated from other dogs using pet gates. Each dog will have their own individual space within my home. Owners are required to provide their pets’ food, litter boxes, cat litter, medications, and any other essential items needed during their stay. I require cat owners to empty and wash their cats’ litter boxes before bringing them to my home. Doggy daycare: I provide a safe, stress-free environment where your dogs can relax, have fun, and feel comfortable throughout the day. Dogs receive playtime, walks, and plenty of attention during their stay. I take the time to learn each dog’s personality, energy level, and individual needs to ensure a positive daycare experience. House sitting: While I’m staying in your home, I won’t invite other people over, and I won’t allow other animals into the home. To ensure reliable communication and timely updates during house sitting stays, I require access to WiFi so I can maintain consistent connectivity and respond promptly to messages. Standard rate: I’ll stay in your home for the majority of the day and night with your pets. I may leave for up to 4 hours at a time for errands, other clients, or personal activities, but I’ll return within that timeframe unless there’s an unexpected delay (such as traffic) or an emergency. • First pet: From $15/night. • Additional dog: From $15/night. • Additional cat: From $15/night. • Other species: Pricing varies based on the number of animals, the species, and the type of care required. • Watering plants: Free for any plants on an automatic watering system (such as a sprinkler or irrigation system). Free for up to ten plants that require manual watering. $1 for every two additional plants if eleven or more plants require manual watering. 24-hour constant care: I’ll remain in your home with your pets at all times throughout the booking. I won’t leave for errands, other clients, or personal activities. I’ll only leave your home in the event of an emergency. This service is designed for pets who require continuous supervision or for owners who prefer uninterrupted care. Because I remain on-site continuously and cannot take other work or leave the home, this service is priced accordingly. • First pet: From $500/night. • Additional dog: From $60/night. • Additional cat: From $30/night. Additional fees may apply for pets with special needs, behavioral issues, or other circumstances that require extra care. Drop-in visits: A standard drop-in visit is 30 minutes, with the option to extend it to 60 minutes. I’ll provide your pets with fresh food and water, plenty of affection, and personalized care based on the instructions you provide. For dogs, I’ll provide potty breaks, short walks, and playtime. For cats, I’ll clean litter boxes and make sure they have a calm, stress-free experience, giving them as much attention as they’re comfortable with. Dog walks: Standard dog walks are 30 minutes, with the option to extend to 60 minutes. During periods of extreme heat or cold, walks may be shortened to protect your dogs from overheating or hypothermia. In these cases, I’ll spend the remainder of the visit playing with your dogs indoors so they can still get exercise while staying safe and comfortable. Safety and health requirements: I’m unable to care for pets that are reactive, aggressive, destructive, or pose a safety risk to people or other animals. I accept bookings for unspayed and unneutered pets. However, my rates are doubled for intact pets. For unspayed female dogs who will be in heat during the booking, my rates are tripled. All pets must be up to date on routine veterinary care, including vaccinations and flea/tick prevention, to be eligible for any services. All pets must not be sick or show signs of illness at the time of service to be eligible for any services. Multiple pets and pet profiles: Each pet must be individually listed on the booking request and have their own profile. Multiple pets may not be booked as a single pet. If all pets aren’t accurately listed, I reserve the right to modify the booking request to reflect the correct number of pets or refuse service. Communication amount and frequency: The amount and frequency of communication you’ll receive from me is entirely up to you. By default, I typically send one update in the morning or afternoon and another in the evening. The evening update is usually more detailed and includes a summary of all pet care activities completed throughout the day. I also generally send one photo of each of your pets per day. If you would prefer more or fewer updates or photos, please let me know. I'm happy to accommodate your preferences. I typically don’t send messages after 8:00 PM Pacific Time unless there’s a reason to do so, as I usually begin winding down for the evening around that time. With that said, please feel free to message me after 8:00 PM. I’ll respond as soon as I can, and if I’m already asleep, I’ll get back to you tomorrow. Pick up and drop off policy: All boarding and daycare pets must be picked up between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific Time, unless alternative pick up times have been arranged in advance. If you would like me to provide pick up and drop off services, you must provide secure, appropriately sized pet carriers for your pets. If the owner, or an authorized individual designated to retrieve the pets, is unavailable at the scheduled drop off time upon my arrival, the pets will be returned to my home and extended stay fees will be charged accordingly. In this situation, the owner is responsible for arranging pick up from my home and will be charged for each additional day the pets remain in my care until pick up is completed. Any pets not picked up within 24 hours of the agreed-upon pick up time, including situations in which pets are returned to my care following an unsuccessful drop off attempt, will be considered abandoned. In such cases, I reserve the right to surrender abandoned pets to the appropriate authorities, animal shelter, or rescue organization in accordance with local laws and regulations. Late pick up fees: • +$30 for pick ups that are 30–39 minutes late. • +$40 for pick ups that are 40–49 minutes late. • For pick ups 50+ minutes late, an additional day of boarding/daycare will be charged. Tasks unrelated to pet care: I’ll leave your home in the same condition I found it and will clean up after myself and your pets during my stay. My services don’t include general housekeeping tasks nor do they include deep cleaning unrelated to pet care. I’m happy to assist with small additional tasks, such as watering a few plants, provided these are discussed and agreed upon in advance. Bathing and brushing: This is an optional service that can be added to your booking for an additional fee. All bathing and brushing services include a bath with dog shampoo, towel drying, and brushing. • Small dogs (1-50 lbs): $30-$70 (+$20 for long or double coats, +$30 for tangled or matted coats) • Medium dogs (51–80 lbs): $75-$115 (+$30 for long or double coats, +$40 for tangled or matted coats) • Large dogs (81-100 lbs): $115-$145 (+$40 for long or double coats, +$50 for tangled or matted coats) • XL dogs (101-130 lbs): $145-$190 (+$50 for long or double coats, +$60 for tangled or matted coats) • XXL dogs (131-150 lbs): $190-$215 (+$60 for long or double coats, +$70 for tangled or matted coats) • Giant dogs (151-200 lbs): $215-$290 (+$70 for long or double coats, +$80 for tangled or matted coats) • Additional fees may apply for pets with special needs, behavioral issues, or other circumstances that require extra care. Outdoor cats: By booking with me, owners of outdoor cats acknowledge and accept that I’m not responsible for any disappearance, injury, illness, or death that occurs while their cats are outdoors during my stay, including, but not limited to, incidents involving other animals, vehicles, environmental hazards, or any other circumstances beyond my control. Indoor-only cats will be kept indoors at all times during my stay and won’t be allowed outside under any circumstances. Other species: I’m most experienced in caring for rodents, especially rats, mice, gerbils, and hamsters. I don’t have any animal phobias, so I’m happy to care for a wide variety of other animals, including domestic livestock, rabbits, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and insects. For animals other than dogs and cats, please select the dog profile and choose “Other pets” in the breed dropdown. When booking, please list the species in your message. For small pets, I charge per habitat rather than per individual animal. For example, multiple small pets living in the same enclosure are counted as one dog, while separate habitats are counted individually.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and respect I have for animals. I don't see pet care as just a job—I see it as caring for a member of your family. Every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to get to know them so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I believe in patience, kindness, and clear communication, and I'll always treat your pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I'm happy to provide the care that's right for them. I'm also comfortable administering medications as directed, refreshing food and water, and helping maintain your pet's normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care and give you peace of mind while you're away. I'm a mom of three and work part-time in the medical field. My schedule allows me to provide dependable pet care while balancing my family and work responsibilities. On the days I work, I'm typically available after the afternoon/evening. On my days off, I have much more flexibility and am generally available throughout the day. I'm also available on weekends! If you have specific scheduling needs, feel free to reach out. I'll do my best to accommodate you and your pet's routine. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. They'll receive plenty of love, attention, and cuddles—if that's what they enjoy! I respect every pet's unique personality, boundaries, and routine, and I'll always care for them in the way that's best for them. For everyone's safety, dogs will always remain on a leash during walks unless we're in a secure, enclosed area with your permission. I'll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own, so you can feel confident they're in good hands while you're away.
“My puppy was very appreciative of the good exercise and walk today. Thank you again and she was definitely exhausted by the time I got off work thank you again for your exceptional work.”

About: I’ve taken care of my friend’s dog on multiple occasions, for as long as two weeks at a time. I also have two dogs at home! We’ve had dogs since 2010. I also used to have cats as a kid, so I have experience with cat care as well. I can work around any schedule! I absolutely love all pets and am always looking to hang with them. Recently moved here so I am in need of some cute pets to take care of! My dogs are taken out three times a day and are fed twice a day. They are allowed to roam throughout the day and I do my best to give them as much attention when I’m home :) For dog sitting in the past, I typically visited 2-3 times a day, taking the dog out each visit and feeding twice a day. I take the dogs on walks for 15-20 minutes and poop is always picked up :)
“Jessica is great with Riley. He is a very energetic dog and she has given me some good ideas on how to refocus him. It’s obvious that she loves dogs. I feel very fortunate to have found Jessica.”

“Callae walked both my dogs early morning for a week while I was out of town. One is a puppy with lots of energy. She handled both dogs professionally and they seemed very happy!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
