“This was my first time using rover and I was a bit nervous leaving my dogs with someone that I didn’t know but Bobby and Linda made me feel very confident in their ability’s to take care of our dogs. They gave great updates with pictures and notes on what they did that day. I will recommend them to others and use them again in the future.”

“Leah and Chris were amazing! It was so obvious our boys were having a blast with them and that they loved them as their own. We got daily updates with amazing photos of the dogs and saw they were being regularly walked and paid attention to. 100% will book with them again.”

“Colleen took really great care of our medium poodle. She sent multiple pictures everyday, and it looked like my skittish poodle got along well with her chill Jackson. Wonderful care and service. Highly recommend Colleen!”

“Carolyn was amazing. She took the time to really get to know both of our boys (dogs). She kept us updated with pictures and reviews. She was diligent with keeping to their scheduled eating and med times. Our boys were happy their entire stay and we would definitely recommend Carolyn to all our friends and family.”

“Goose seems like he had more fun than even being at home! Best experience I have had in Portland with a sitter, I did not have to worry or think about a think while I was out of town! I could not recommend her enough, 10/10 sitter and goose was very loved!”

“A big thanks to Christopher, he made the whole process easy. We were able to relax on vacation knowing he was being cared for through updates and pictures. We definitely recommend him to others!”

“Jared did an excellent job boarding Fiona, a ~2.5 year old pit mix that is brand new to our home. Jared came over for a meet and greet, where he let Fiona snuggle up to him which he interspersed with little checks, like touching her ears or feet to see how she responded. We sat in the back yard for a while talking about Fiona, his dog Bart, and his background - and after a while he suggested that he thought it would work well to board her at his place. I brought Fiona over there to see how she did in that environment, and she was very comfortable there. Jared sent me photos and updates throughout, reporting on how Fiona and Bart were doing together. They started with short play sessions until they got more familiar with each other. Jared was always quick to respond to text messages. Thanks Jared for looking after Fiona, you'll be seeing her again soon.”

“We LOVED our experience with Jennifer! She was wonderful with our sweet Luna. She sent updates with photos to assure us that Lu was very comfortable with her, her family and family pets. There's nothing better than to find someone who clearly loves animals and takes such great care. Highly recommend her!”

“Hanlan went above and beyond what I expecting! We left our pug with her for 5 days and she was always sending cute pictures from his day. She took him on long walks, and the dog park multiple days. We really felt Bubz was left in amazing care, and would choose her again next time we go out of town!”

“Paul and Arnell were the sweetest with my Bandit. Sent lots of pictures and are very responsive at communicating. Nice meet n greet and easy drop off/pickup. Bandit was definitely spoiled with these two!”

“Being the first time BB was to stay at someone else's home and with other dogs, we were a little uneasy. However, Sandy sent a couple of pics of our pooch looking very comfortable at her house and then we were at ease knowing he was there in lieu of an impersonal kennel. We've already made Benny's reservation for his next stay at Sandy's.”

She ensured daily interaction with our cat, sending great reassuring photos and stayed in excellent communication with us the entire time. Extremely kind and gentle, crossing the kitty out and encouraging interaction. It really gave us peace of mind on vacation. I can’t imagine asking anyone else to care for our kitty next time!”

About: Animals have always been a major part of my life, and I have always treated my animals like family members, with respect and kindness. All animals are special and have personalities that just always bring joy to my heart. Throughout my entire life I have always had various animals in my homes and I don't think I would of had it any other way. They bring me great joy as companions and as a member of my family.
“Kristy is the best! She’s professional, dependable and always takes great care of my cats. Also her photography skills are a plus, I always appreciate the pictures and updates she sends.”

About: We've had pets in my home since I was a baby, so I'm very familiar with caring for different types of dogs and cats, from super energetic to one's that love and need their own space. I've done dog walking and sitting, as well as cat sitting. I'm currently a student athlete at UAFS, so I have less availability during the week than I do on the weekends, which are completely free. If there is a day on the weekend that isn't I will let you know in advance. If your pet does need more care during the week, we can absolutely work something out that's the best for them and my classes. I'm a super flexible as a person, so whether your pet needs ample play time and attention, or just needs a calming presence with them while you're away or at work, I can accommodate both. If you'd rather me be there for just a check in walk/feeding and then leave, that's also completely fine.

“It is best that when we need a sitter when coming into town that we contact them again. Our boys have sever separation anxiety, but see to do well. Thank you again?”

“From the beginning, very responsive and helpful! They were able to handle my high anxiety dog and didn’t get annoyed by the overly long explanation I had about his dogality. Followed up with pictures and updates and my dogs had a blast! Highly recommend Cass and Trevor for dog sitting.”

“Charlene has been hands-down, the BEST dog sitter we’ve ever had. The amount of love, care, fun, and exercise she gave our dog, Ginkgo, was truly exceptional. I’m someone who loves pictures and updates, and Charlene provided beautiful pictures and updates without prompting during Ginkgo’s 4 day stay. He got to go on runs, long hikes, and even got a pup cup with her daughter. He came home each day absolutely exhausted, which was amazing for my husband after working long days. We are so grateful we found Charlene!”

“Annie has been with Sarah for 4 days this week. Annie turned 1 & Sarah & her family gave Annie a Bday party. It was so special and I really appreciated it. Thank you Sarah!!😘😘😘😘”

“Shasta and her family are very loving and caring, we truly trust her completely. Our dog Gus gets so excited about having a stay it make leaving him a boy easier knowing he just runs right into the house out of excitement!”

“Mackenzie is the best! My pup has an absolute blast every time he goes there. He knows the route to her house now and gets so excited when he realizes that we're heading to her house! He's always so happy and so tired by the end of the day. There's no denying that he has an amazing time there.”

“Angela seems very professional and trust worthy. Argos has enjoyed his time with her and we will be using her again. Thanks for helping to care for the favorite mammal in the household!”
“Tracy and her family took great care of my big guy! Plenty of attention and play time in the backyard, and good communication throughout. No reservations about having her watch him again.”

About: Animals have always been part of my life — from horses to fish, and most importantly, dogs. For the past 2+ years I’ve been a foster with the Portland Dachshund Rescue, caring for everything from energetic puppies to seniors with medical needs. Through local dachshund meetups and rescue work, I’ve become known as a trusted safe space for small dogs in the Portland community. What sets me apart is the blend of heart and hands-on skills: • Experience with senior dogs, medical care, and even injections when needed. • Specialized understanding of dachshunds and other small breeds. • A home set up with secure fencing and stairs for tiny dogs’ safety. • The flexibility of working from home most days, with the option to bring pups to the office on others. I treat every guest like my own — with patience, love, and individualized care. Most days I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of company and attention throughout the day. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I go into the office, but I can often bring a guest dog with me if needed, so they won’t be left alone. Because I only host up to two small dogs at a time (20 lbs and under), I can keep routines flexible — from regular potty breaks and short walks to cuddle breaks on the couch. My schedule is designed to give your pup a safe, consistent rhythm while you’re away. Whether your pup is staying at my townhome or I’m caring for them in yours, safety is always the top priority. My home is rescue-approved with secure fencing, pet stairs, and even an outdoor ramp in progress for tiny legs. Guests are always supervised, indoors and out. If I’m in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I’d want for my own. I understand the trust it takes to hand over your keys, and I’m happy to follow any security routines or send photos so you feel comfortable. My goal is simple: peace of mind for you, and a safe, happy experience for your pet.
“Jared was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he was warm and welcoming to my pup, instantly putting us both at ease. Throughout the day, Jared kept me updated with thoughtful messages and photos, which I truly appreciated. His communication was clear and thorough, and he even informed me promptly when my pup had a minor nosebleed. Knowing that Jared has a vet tech background gave me complete peace of mind, and I was confident that my pup was in safe and capable hands. I can't recommend Jared highly enough and am eager to use his services again in the future.”

“Genevieve went above and beyond for me and my dog today. It was a last minute request for a new dog to spend the day with her and because I wouldn't be able to drive in the evening she dropped him off for me. So unbelievably helpful. I got pictures of him having way too much fun and I could tell when she was leaving how much he liked her. Knowing he was being so taken care of today made things so much easier. Thank you”

“Araceli was so great with Rocky… she kept me posted on how he was doing and sent me the cutest video and pic of my lil guy… it is so great to be able to be at work and not have to worry about how Rocky is doing. I would highly recommend Araceli for watching your furry baby. Araceli thank you for putting my worries at ease…”

“Hank, my service dog, went to play at Sam’s house several times A few years ago; due to moving in job change we no longer needed their service for a while: but with a new baby we were ecstatic to see that they offer transportation as well as daycare now!! 100% trust them with Hank at all times and they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure he’s happy and to let me know what’s going on ♥️ I can tell when he comes back that he was in the company of good people and good dogs. Thank you Sam Devin and Emily!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover and using a dogsitter outside of family and friends. It was a wonderful experience! Lousie is a very warm and friendly person. She kept me updated on my two fur babies throughout the day and sent me photos. I recommend her!”

“Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. Besides taking great care of the pups, they are lovely people and we have enjoyed getting to know them.”

About: I’ve had dogs, cats and birds all my life. Being raised on a farm gave me plenty of experience with what pets need. Daily walks and lots of space to run around and play. Having no work, I am home everyday with my pets. Take my dog for walks, brush him every-other day and grooming my cat. Taking care of animals is my dream job, so taking care of my animals is just how I live. I have a fenced yard, I have a very playful Siberian husky named Trout. Trout loves other dogs and is full of energy ready to play at all times. I have an emotional support parrot who stays in my room while I have pets over so she will be safe. I also have a very shy cats who likes to stay to herself and out of the way. Your pets will find my home to be safe and fun!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since 2012. I have pet sit dogs of all sizes (some requiring special medication and extra care). I’ve also cat sat for drop-byes as well as overnight. I can change and clean litter boxes, scoop dog poop, vacuum, or anything else regarding animal cleaning necessities. I had dogs my entire childhood and lived with cats during college. I love to walk dogs, practice tricks, and play fetch. I am a substitute teacher currently, so my evenings are free as well as most of the summer. I only have two trips planned, otherwise I am local and eager to help. I would so appreciate having a purpose this summer and being able to provide some for my family as subs don’t get paid during the summer. I would care for pets at the client’s home. Depending on their needs, I would allow the dogs freely outside in a fenced yard or take them on leashed walks around their neighborhood. I would also happily take dogs to the dog park if the owner was comfortable with this and felt this was a safe space for their animal. Depending on distance, this could be via walking or in a car. When I wasn’t at the client’s house, I would have the animals kenneled or freely roaming depending on owner preference. I will ensure no cleaning products or toxic items are left out. I will also ensure water is always refilled.

Animal welfare is my top priority as I am an long-standing animal rights activist and 8+ year vegan /12+year vegetarian. Compassionate, quality and safe animal care is my number one goal every single day. In 2015 I rescued my girl Diva From the Oregon Humane Society's Second Chance program, my now Feline companion had been returned to the shelters a whopping 5 times for behavioral trait "issues". When I met this girl, I could not believe how sweet she was and was shocked to hear of her traumatic past. Having raised many cats over the years I felt in my heart she would be a good fit regardless of her adoption/return story. After spending just 10 minutes with her in the bonding room, I decided to bring her home and give her a permanent place of comfort and peace. She has been the absolute best companion and furry friend to have around. After settling down from her traumatic history, she came out of her shell and became the most playful, cuddly curious little protector. Post-Shelter, Diva Leads a happy life running in the fenced yard with our chickens, crows and blue birds. Our newest addition to the fur clan includes Deja Vu a little kitten rescue from the Humane society. She has been a wonderful addition to our menagerie, spending most of her time figuring things out at as a growing kitten, she truly couldn't be any more compatible with our elder, Diva. Please reach out for any questions. I cannot wait to meet your fur friend/s/family! I am currently a student and active volunteer, I am looking to add work into my schedule where ever possible. I am very flexible and love to be up in the early morning. I have a fenced yard large enough for dogs to run around and play in, a spacious home that is stress free. Thank you for considering me as your compassionate pet sitter! As my dream is to have a small business run at home caring for animals, as a fulltime student with a flexible day to day schedule, I am widely available and can accept extended care visits for up to 90 days if you have plans to travel abroad and are looking for a peace of mind when it comes to maintaining your animals routine care needs. Safety and animal welfare are my #1 top priority, animals are extremely intuitive and demanding individuals. With their strong personalities, and my long-standing experience in connecting and building individualized bonds with all animals, I'm firmly confident in my abilities to ensure a secure, safe, protected and loving environment for your pets, so that no part of their routine is disturbed while your away. All animals have distinctive memory, during my visits I positively verbally engage with the animals based to reinforce voice memory and to help them feel at ease, calm and recognized as the wonderful individuals they are.
“Gema was very kind and patient with my puppy and quickly got her to warm up to her and get over her new person nervousness. She was very kind on their walks and playtime. I highly recommend her for your pet care needs!”

About: Hi! I’ve owned several pets throughout the years. I had a hamster for three years, I have two dogs currently as well as four cats. I love teaching my animals, tricks, and giving them treats. My oldest cat knows how to spin, hi-five, and sit. I think if you can teach a cat some tricks, that you can teach anybody a trick ha ha! I’ve volunteered at the Humane Society back in Arizona for the last two years before I moved up here to Washington! I currently nanny every other week, I am a special education teacher during the school year. I have lots of free time, which gives me lots of time to hang out with furry friends! It fits into my lifestyle perfectly right now, as I am young, and have all the free time in the world. Caring for a pet, safety, and health always come first. I love, making sure that my furry friend is having all of their needs met, and they are getting stimulated in all of the areas they need to be. My pets follow a strict feeding schedule, as well as a strict diet. They also have strict training, but we allow lots of fun playtime as well.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. What started as a small childhood side hustle of going out of my way to care for other people's dogs has grown into a lifelong passion. I raised my own dog until he was 16, giving me deep, adaptable experience in senior pet care. I also volunteered at the Humane Society, working with animals of all sizes and breeds, especially the misunderstood ones! Whether we're going on a fast-paced walk, hanging out with a lazy Pug, or just cleaning the litterbox and chilling with your cat, I'm ready to treat your pets like my own. As a remote worker, my daily schedule is generally very flexible! I am open throughout the day, but I prefer to schedule most of my walks and drop-ins for anytime after 11 AM or 12 PM. Since I am also a student, my exact availability might shift a bit depending on my course load for the semester, but I will always keep my calendar updated and communicate clearly with you. “Kristopher and his partner are so nice and were very good to my dog! You can tell that they genuinely care about each pet they watch and will 100% rebook them in the future.”

“Gary was great with our puppy. While she was happy to see us after a two week absence, it was obvious she had been well-cared for and lovingly attended. We have already booked our next stay with Gary and Carol.”

“Araceli was awesome! She was very responsive and sent us frequent pictures of our two fur babies. They returned to us happy and we could tell they were well cared for. Thank you Araceli!”

“Steve is GREAT! Murphy was welcomed into the pack and played hard and was safe. Murphy can have some anxiety in new siuations and with new humans and pets. Steve allowed Murphy to adjust comfortably in his home with patience and love. My Muffin Man came home tired and happy! I'm so thankful and grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter for Murphy for when I need to get away and 'Adult'. Thank you, Steve! I appreciate you more than you know! Murphy Hug to you,”

“Yuting was great. She communicated daily and sent video and pics throughout our time away. Dave was exercised daily and had plenty of play time with her pups as well! Thanks, Yuting!”

“Kristen and her husband were amazing boarders for our two rambunctious pups! She was an excellent communicator sending updates every morning and evening, very quick to respond and organized. Our dogs were so tired when they returned home from the many walks and snuggles they received. I will happily reach out to Kristen again for future bookings!”

“Our girl Tillie Bean loves to stay with Angie and has done well with her while we are away. It is such a relief knowing she is good hands and that she is having her own special getaway with Angie. Thanks for loving our special little lady🐾”

“Left my pups (and houseplants) with Jenny while I was gone on vacation over the Christmas holidays. She was great, and the pups were pooped when I brought them home! I happened to have a vet appointment for Max that I'd scheduled a couple of days after my vacation. Both dogs had lost a few pounds, yeah! And Max's back right knee was doing very well, no swelling, heat or favoring. Jenny and her family did a great job with keeping an eye on him and keeping him from overdoing it. They were also very understanding when I managed to screw up my pickup date. I'd inadvertently written down my return flight on the day before it was actually scheduled, so I'd scheduled their pickup time for the next day, just about at the time when my flight was supposed to depart. And of course, the flight was delayed about two and a half hours. Luckily, I was able to pick them up about 5 hours after the designated pickup time. I will definitely be looking to her for boarding again in the future!”
“Tucker and Mel fit in with Anastasia’s pack perfectly! She texted us every day and sent multiple pictures and videos everyday reassuring us they were having fun and in good hands. We love the way she introduced all the dogs together making sure everyone was comfortable while we were there! We are rebooking her again in 2 weeks! By far the best Rover experience we’ve had to date! Thank you for loving our pups as your own 🫶🏻🫶🏻”
