“Becky was a new Rover to us and we couldn’t have been happier with how great she was with our Lucy girl. She provided lots of updates and pictures, even dressed her up in Christmas sweaters next to her Christmas tree. We felt very good about leaving our older dog in her care and will definitely be using Becky again for future dog care. Thanks Becky!”

“I left my 19-year-old and 11-year-old chihuahuas with Sandy while I went away for a camping trip. Sandy sent me photos while I was away, along with updates on the dogs. They came home happy and tired from playing with the other dogs. I was very happy with the way she cared and for my little guys.”

“Carolyn was absolutely incredible!! This was Sophie’s first stay and we will be back for sure! The check ins and pictures were exactly what I needed and showed me just how happy she was with Carolyn. We have boarded with three other sitters previously and Carolyn absolutely blew them out of the water! Her personalized care, demeanor, and environment for my baby made all the difference. Carolyn handled a complicated medication schedule and diet change perfectly. Thank you for taking such great care of this sweet baby! She came to you a senior and left a puppy hehe”
“Adrienne was the best! It was our first time leaving our dog for more than 12 days. She sent updates with little clips all pieced together into one video which was so nice to see our dog in action and having so much fun. It gave me such peace of mind to see her so comfortable and to have settled in so fast. Our dog was clearly so well taken care of and taken care of like her own. She even washed our pup’s eye boogers out! She gets so many but I never expect anyone to clean them. Highly recommend Adrienne!!”

“Breann did an amazing job with my energetic poodle/shitzu mix! Yuzu was happy and playful & there was great communication throughout. I would 100% book with Breann again”

“Veronica was very attentive and sent pics, Bogey seemed to be having a blast! She has an excellent setup at her house and is a trustworthy and caring person. Thank you Veronica for the TLC you gave Bogey while I was out of town backpacking! Much appreciated!!”

About: Pets have always been a large part of my life. I have grown up with pets of all kinds; dogs, cats, chickens, horses, cows, hamsters, Guinea pigs, etc. I will always treat your pup just like my own; giving them all the unconditionally love, attention, and care they need & deserve. I work 2x days per week and spend most of my time at home with my pup, Bentley. I also watch my daughter’s dog often. I can take dogs for potty breaks frequently throughout the day, go on walks, and take them on car rides. I have a big fenced yard with one loving 9 year old lab. He loves to play fetch and tug a war and your pup can join or can play separately, whatever is needed. Also, have a pool if your pup enjoys swimming they are more than welcome to get in! I watch at all times, your dog would never be left alone in the pool or backyard. My pup loves swimming and would love to swim with other dogs. I live close to a park and can take your pup to run (off-leash if allowed) or walk! Bentley is friendly with other dogs, as well as my daughter’s dog who I often watch and take care. There will also be plenty of cuddles, loves and treats!
“Bonnie was a wonderful host for my anxiety-prone doggo. She went out her way to make sure Rosie was comfortable and even provided services I didn't ask for, like chopping up extra fruit and veggies when the stuff I supplied ran out. Would highly recommend and would hope to be able to use her services again!”

“Kathy took such an amazing care of Nella. So grateful. She sent several updates/pics/vids everyday throughout Nella's stay, which really reassured me that Nella was in great hands. I was able to fully relax during our time away knowing our pup was getting all the care, attention, and exercise she needed/wanted. Really hoping Nella gets another opportunity to stay with Kathy. Thanks again so much!”

“Saquoia was so sweet! She sent lots of pictures and even a video so I could really tell my pup was having a great time. This was my first time using a professional service for my dog and I feel like I got really lucky in finding Saquoia. She was very patient towards Indie and I could tell genuinely enjoyed having her, even in her difficult moments. I would definitely love to continue bringing my dog to Saquoia if she will have us! Thank you Saquoia!”
“Absolutely amazing!! Makenzie made us feel so comfortable leaving our puppy with them for over a week! Constant updates with pictures and videos and working with us, we will definitely be leaving Phoebe with them whenever possible in the future!”

Carolyn has amazing reviews for a reason! She genuinely loves animals, and it shows in how she cares for your dogs as if they were her own. She's also very knowledgeable about canine behavior and how to best interact with your dogs according to their individual needs. Carolyn sent frequent updates and photos, giving me total peace of mind that my pups were in trustworthy, capable hands. Our two dogs very much enjoyed their stay and came home a lot calmer than they have with sitters in the past. I will be booking with her again!

I cannot recommend Rob highly enough! He did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of my dog, Bubba. Rob is incredibly good at what he does and was so patient with him. He was truly amazing from start to finish, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing Bubba was in such great hands. Thank you, Rob!

Can’t say enough good things! Dominique and her partner took excellent care of my dog Charlie, who was diagnosed with diabetes this year. They were able to manage, checking his blood sugars periodically, and administer sugar when he was running slightly low one day. They sent loads of photo updates and check-ins that made me feel reassured that he was in great hands would definitely use them again!!

Sharmista took wonderful care of my dog, Kaisa. She was kind, communicative, and sent regular photo updates throughout the stay, which really helped ease our anxiety while we were away. When I picked Kaisa up, she nuzzled into Sharmista as if she didn't want to leave, which told me everything I needed to know about how comfortable and loved she felt. I would happily trust Sharmista with Kaisa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring dog sitter.

This is the second time Richard has watched Bug and Ollie. He takes wonderful care of them and they are very happy there. One of my dogs is a nervous, older dog with a big bark and Richard is great with him and Bug adores Richard. It is so reassuring knowing they'll be in a safe, loving environment while I am out of town.

Kena is a kind, experienced sitter and dog trainer. My dog has behavioral issues and anxiety, and Kena knew how to handle tense moments and help him feel safe. She was communicative with updates throughout the stay, and I really appreciated her giving my dog a chance. Her own dogs are well-trained, sweet, and great companions. Highly recommend!

Jenny was wonderful with our two dogs! She took great care of them making sure they had lots of activity and love! They came home completely exhausted and very happy. Jenny was able to accommodate their needs with their specialty food and medication, and even reached out to ensure they were doing well the next day after I brought them home. I will definitely reach out to Jenny again in the future!

Casey did a wonderful job taking care of Percy. It was his first time staying with a sitter and Casey was great at helping him adjust and was patient as Percy settled in. We received multiple daily updates and pictures and were always assured Percy was receiving the best care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
