Solo Boarding for Sensitive Dogs
I've taken care of pets all my life. Coming from a family of gigantic nerds, we had something of a menagerie. Since moving to Portland, I've been providing focused one-on-one boarding for dogs & dog families who prefer to board alone and avoid multi-dog settings. If you're a household with more than one dog, I take multiple dogs who live together, but do not book more than one family at a time. Because I have such a small capacity, I do not check Rover every day for new clients. Returning clients requesting dates can expect a quicker reply.

This is the second time Richard has watched Bug and Ollie. He takes wonderful care of them and they are very happy there. One of my dogs is a nervous, older dog with a big bark and Richard is great with him and Bug adores Richard. It is so reassuring knowing they'll be in a safe, loving environment while I am out of town.

Richard was amazing. My dogs are not easy to handle and Richard was exceptionally kind and calm towards them. He provided updates and sent photos and videos to let us know that all was good. I highly recommend Richard and will be bringing my boys back. Thank you for providing a safe and comfortable home for our dogs while we were away.
Bear had a fun-filled weekend with Richard while we were out of town and it was so comforting to get pictures and videos of Bear’s playtime during our travels.

I am out of the house during the week for up to 4 hours during the public school year. In the summer, breaks, and weekends I am home apart from occasional errands. I am more than happy to discuss your dog's particular needs directly.

I tend to sit for animals that appreciate a lot of companionship. My house can accommodate one family (one or more dogs) and has an enclosed back yard with a quiet residential walking neighborhood and nearby park.
A typical day
I like to start the day with a walk. In good weather, spend as much time as I can out in yard providing fresh air and vitamin D. I live in a good walking neighborhood with a large park across the street.
