“Dominique watched our little dog for 4 nights and our dog returned home happy, well adjusted and full. Our little yorkie is sometimes difficult to feed because of her stubbornness. She even sent us photos and videos of our dog playing. I highly recommend Dominique, she is passionate, professional and goes the extra mile to make sure our dog was well cared for.”

“Keelan & Sabrina take wonderful care of Rosie. I am so grateful for their kindness and patience with her. Rosie seems to enjoy her visits with Keelan & Sabrina. She comes home happy and exhausted, just perfect.”

“Laurie kept Sophie for the day so I could go to graduation for my granddaughter. Sophie was happy to see me but had a great day with Laurie! She sent me a couple pics during the day and let me know Sophie was doing well. We have another stay already booked!”

“Mara did a great job with my Doberman Diesel and grand dog Mason. She had them for a full week and they returned happy and healthy. She sent pictures every day showing that they were having fun. I would definitely use her again.”
“Bridgette and Beau and Winnie could not have made Lola's stay any more comfortable. Lola had never stayed with unknown people let alone with another dog or cat so this was a bit experimental for all of us. But after a meet and greet it looked like a match. We were gone for two days and received daily updates and photos. Lola is accustomed to free ranging on furniture and beds and she was made to feel right at home with Bridgette and Beau and Winnie was a great sharer. I will definitely book with these Rover superstars again. Upcoming vacation planned in September. Thank you so much.”

“Jessica took such great care of PB while we were away! I can tell she kept him busy and active by how sleepy he’s been since coming home. He’s one happy guy, and it’s clear he had a great time with her!”

“My 12 year old dog is a nervous nelly that requires attention and daily walks. We usually leave him with family or friends, however needed some extra help for a week of vacation. I am so pleased we went with Julie. She is reliable and trustworthy. I felt confident my dog was well taken care of. She sent frequent pictures of my dog and updates throughout the week. our dog was hesitant to come home because he enjoy his Bed-and-biscuit at Julie's s so much. I would highly recommend her and hope to use in the future.”

“4x repeat customer! Cassie is top-notch, the best of the best. Sends great photos. A great communicator. When I pick up my bebe, she is well adjusted and tiiiiiired from all of her sweet hangouts with other dog friends.”

“So happy to have come across Jennifer and Eric before boarding our pup. Seeing photos of him snuggling their kids and knowing he was being loved on all week gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. Thank you guys so much!”

“Bonnie was great with Nemo and me being insecure leaving him somewhere for the first time. He came home happy and tired! I have already booked again. Thanks so much Bonnie :)”

“Our pup, Chicken, had a great time at Nicole and Colton’s! So far since being home all she has done is sleep! Nicole sent picture and video updates so we knew our gal was having a great time! We’ll definitely rebook in the future!”

“We couldn't be more pleased - Sandy is very knowledgable and is clearly passionate about dogs. She was accommodating, always prompt with response, and very sweet to our boy. We loved the photos Sandy sent throughout his stay with her. We could not have been greeted by a happier pup when picking our boy up. We will definitely be using Sandy as our sitter moving forward. ”

“Stella was well cared for and in good spirits when I arrived to pick her up! Received photos of Stella’s time there and have complete confidence that Stella is safe and cared for while away! Thank you!”

“Anastasia is a gem. She was warm, attentive and understanding of my Siberian Husky. She sent pictures and an update every day my doggo was in her care. Her dogs and child are friendly and accommodating. My dog had a great time! I highly recommend Anastasia.”

“Allison is extremely kind and friendly and she did a wonderful job taking care of our dog for a week. He can be a little anxious in new environments but from the first time we met Allison I think he picked up on her tremendously calm and welcoming personality, making him seem much less anxious while at her house. Her house felt very comfortable and she has a large fenced back yard for dogs to enjoy. We’ll definitely check Allison’s schedule should we need a dog sitter in the future and would not hesitate at all having her take care of our dog again.”

“Paul was great to work with. I loved all the photos and updates he shared during our time away. Georgia immediately felt welcomed and was excited to be in Paul’s home.”

Carolyn has amazing reviews for a reason! She genuinely loves animals, and it shows in how she cares for your dogs as if they were her own. She's also very knowledgeable about canine behavior and how to best interact with your dogs according to their individual needs. Carolyn sent frequent updates and photos, giving me total peace of mind that my pups were in trustworthy, capable hands. Our two dogs very much enjoyed their stay and came home a lot calmer than they have with sitters in the past. I will be booking with her again!

Haley was great! She was communicative, responsive, gentle with Bentley, and provided wonderful care. Bentley seemed to have a good time and was tired when he got home. Haley will be the person I reach out to the next time I’m out of town. No hesitations. Thank you Haley!

Nadine took great care of our dog, Rosco while we were away for a long weekend with family. He got to play outdoors a lot more than he does at home, and with other dogs, too. It was his first time boarding anywhere and he was a little nervous but Nadine is a dog whisperer and gave him what he needed to settle in. She also introduced him to her cat; a creature he had little knowledge of, but had admired from afar. Rosco wanted to chase her a little bit but Nadine was able to talk him out of it. She took lots of pictures for us. Good ones! Rosco is usually either asleep or in motion, so he’s not the best photographic model. We’re homebodies, but if we go somewhere again, Rosco will stay with Nadine.

Chopper loved Camp Cathy. Was so nice for him to have a yard to play in and do some sun bathing. Cathy sent daily pictures, which made me smile while I was missing Chopper. Cathy took him on walks and he seemed wiped out when I picked him up. Cathy is a very nice lady and I would recommend her

I can’t recommend them enough! They took amazing care of Jetson and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos, which meant so much to me. They were also incredibly flexible when my plans changed and went out of their way to accommodate Jetson, which I truly appreciated. He came home happy, well cared for, and clearly loved. I would absolutely trust them with Jetson again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet sitters.

Casey did a wonderful job taking care of Percy. It was his first time staying with a sitter and Casey was great at helping him adjust and was patient as Percy settled in. We received multiple daily updates and pictures and were always assured Percy was receiving the best care.

Mara was so great to coordinate with and it’s so clear that she is great with dogs! Our boy is a big goofball who gets a little overwhelmed sometimes, but after just one meet and greet, we knew it would be a great fit for him to stay with Mara while we went out of town. He clearly loved his time there and we enjoy the tired and happy boy!!

We are a returning customer of Erika’s. This time around our Ruby stayed for 2 whole weeks. Erika was great with communication and provided me regular updates. We really appreciated Erika being available for our entire trip! We will definitely be using her again in the future. Thank you again Erika!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
