“We and our pup loved Dominique. She sent us updates and pictures throughout the day. Our puppy looked like she was on her own vacation at Dominique’s. We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Noemi was very proactive and communicative with me about Elroy over the days she was with her! We got lots of photos and felt like Elroy was well cared for 💖 Thank you Noemi!”

“Sharon is amazing. She sent me pictures everyday. Clara is a 8 pound Havanese and very spoiled. Sharon is a a new trusting friend if Clara’s. We will definitely use her services again. Thank you Sharon for loving our little girl.???”

“Our dog was very well taken care of during his stay with Abigail. I am giving her 5 stars because she is so accommodating on pick up and drop off times. She even worked with us on Christmas day.”
“I left my 2 rescues with Julie for a week, and had never been away from them that long. It was clear from the start that all was going great! Julie is caring, conscientious and knowledgeable on caring for pups. It was such a relief to know they were with Julie!”

“In all my years of owning a dog, I have never EVER found a sitter as good as Keelan and Sabrina. It is evident how deeply they love animals, how much they care about providing a safe home for my little guy, and how much joy they get out of doing what they do. As an anxious mom, I can finally rest easy on trips knowing how happy my dog is to be there, how much fun he’s having, and how well taken care of he is. Keelan and Sabrina are thoughtful, highly communicative (so many great pictures/videos), and have welcomed my little guy right into their family. I am thankful from the bottom of my heart to have found them, and cannot recommend them highly enough!”

“Bridgette and Beau and Winnie could not have made Lola's stay any more comfortable. Lola had never stayed with unknown people let alone with another dog or cat so this was a bit experimental for all of us. But after a meet and greet it looked like a match. We were gone for two days and received daily updates and photos. Lola is accustomed to free ranging on furniture and beds and she was made to feel right at home with Bridgette and Beau and Winnie was a great sharer. I will definitely book with these Rover superstars again. Upcoming vacation planned in September. Thank you so much.”

“Liz provided a great boarding experience for our 7 month old German Shepard "Leo". This was Leo's first overnight boarding experience and Liz was very attentive to his adjustment to the other dogs and overall experience. Leo arrived home happy and relaxed. We will definitely board with Liz again.”

“Nicole and Colton are great! They were able to take booking with less than a two day notice. Easy to communicate with. Friendly dog loving family with a dog friendly home and yard. I appreciated the daily updates with pictures of my dog. Would book again.”

“Zest had a wonderful time! Cassie was able to take him on last-minute, and was so communicative throughout the stay. I got lots of pictures and videos and he came home super happy. I'm so happy to have found a great, trustworthy sitter and will definitely book again in the future!!”

“Paul and Arnel were the best hosts! They were excellent communicators, sent us tons of pics of our boy, and did so many fun things with him. It really felt like they made him part of their family. I would highly recommend them to any pup parent.”

“Another great stay with Sandy! The best thing Sandy provides is peace of mind. It's so nice to be able to go out of town and know that our pup is in such loving and capable hands with Sandy. We really appreciate all that she does!”

“Kim and her family are so incredible! Blue is sometimes nervous to leave but this was our second time hanging out and he just ran straight to them and was ready to play! Kim is a really great communicator and sent very cute photos! Highly recommend!!! :)”

“Our pup came home so happy and definitely worn out! She went on a little vacation with Sarah!!! Sarah provided planet of updates, pictures, and check ins. Mitzi is a puppy and in the height of her rebellious teenage stage, so not the easiest pet to watch. We felt so safe and comfortable leaving our girl with her and will definitely be using her again!”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Janice to watch our dog, Pablo, while we traveled to visit family over the holidays. Having peace of mind while you’re away is priceless, and she truly delivered that. Our dog is very sensitive, and Janice was so attentive and thoughtful with all of his needs. It’s obvious she does this because she genuinely loves dogs. Janice went above and beyond taking him on plenty of walks and even bringing him along with her during the day while running errands. Since coming home, we can tell Pablo really misses her, which says everything about the bond she built with him. Her home is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, with a yard. She sent us daily updates and photos, letting us know what they were up to, which always made our day. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Janice again and hope she’s available the next time we need a sitter. Thank you, Janice!”

“Alexi was great with our dog keeping him active, safe and happy during his stay. We received pictures and updates every day and were excited to see our dog take multiple visits to the park. The large fenced in yard and her two friendly playmates were an added bonus. Highly recommended!”

“Bonnie is super hospitable and accommodating . She cared for our dog who showed up at her home with a little injury and she took care of her really well. Bonnie also was attentive to Zuzu missing us.”

“Nemo loves going to Bonnie’s and has so much fun playing with other pups! He comes home happy and tired. Bonnie is very communicative and keeps me updated how he’s doing. She has been so flexible and I am grateful I found her!”

“Tammy took great care of our golden. She texted often to give us updates on how he was doing and we knew he was in good hands. We look forward to working with Tammy again in the future.”

I can’t recommend them enough! They took amazing care of Jetson and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos, which meant so much to me. They were also incredibly flexible when my plans changed and went out of their way to accommodate Jetson, which I truly appreciated. He came home happy, well cared for, and clearly loved. I would absolutely trust them with Jetson again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet sitters.

Casey did a wonderful job taking care of Percy. It was his first time staying with a sitter and Casey was great at helping him adjust and was patient as Percy settled in. We received multiple daily updates and pictures and were always assured Percy was receiving the best care.

Mara was so great to coordinate with and it’s so clear that she is great with dogs! Our boy is a big goofball who gets a little overwhelmed sometimes, but after just one meet and greet, we knew it would be a great fit for him to stay with Mara while we went out of town. He clearly loved his time there and we enjoy the tired and happy boy!!

We are a returning customer of Erika’s. This time around our Ruby stayed for 2 whole weeks. Erika was great with communication and provided me regular updates. We really appreciated Erika being available for our entire trip! We will definitely be using her again in the future. Thank you again Erika!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
