Dog foster mom ready to hire! :)
I fostered dogs for nearly 9 years before foster/failing my husky. This encompasses caring for dogs with traumatic backgrounds, aggression issues, shyness, and in some instances limited human contact. I have worked with trainers throughout my time of fostering and have learned how to redistribute a dog’s energy in a healthy way, train basic commands, and be aware of signs that the dog is giving off that they may be stressed.

Katie is thoughtful, thorough, and communicative. Bettie always has the best stay with her and her family and I know she is loved just like she is when she is at home!
Katie and Von took care of Bettie like she was their own pup. I was so comfortable leaving Bettie with them! Katie is through, provides updates, photos, activity and stimulation for our small girl! She loves pug and Ava and spending time with them on walks and in thier home. Our pup is an attention hog and there was no shortage of care and thoughtfulness during our week trip. Would highly recommend anyone to her!

Katie is a one-of-a-kind pet sitter. We are, probably overly, selective when it comes to the individuals looking after our pup, and we could not be happier with the care she provided while we were away. Katie was responsive from day one, enthusiastic and energetic, very well organized, and truly empathetic about the animals in her life, including the ones under her temporary care. While we were gone, updates and pictures of all the walks, play times, nap times, and daily life arrived several times each day. This was the first time in recent memory we were able to step away and feel completely confident that our pup was receiving care equivalent to what he gets at home. Kai can be a shy boy, but Katie and her family drew him out of his shell so he got to have a fun vacation as well. We are immensely grateful to have found her.
Katie was so attentive of our girl Bettie! She sent updates, photos and pictures took Bettie at multiple adventures! Felt so safe having our pup with her! highly recommend!

Schedule
I currently work full-time from my house and still occasionally foster dogs when I am their last resort. I am able to accommodate your schedule in any which way that you may need me!
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I have a back porch that my dogs love sunbathing on and a newly constructed backyard with cable fencing. I go on walks 2 to 3 times a day to keep them exercised, and set aside an hour or two per day for specific training needs. If there is no training to be done, I am happy to give your dog some extra play time with toys and a longer walk!

A typical day
I love to provide treat puzzles to your dog to keep them mentally stimulated. Walks are given multiple times a day (given it’s not too hot for them!) and even a run or a hike if your dog is of higher energy :) I am able to give them lots of love and play time with toys, as well as nap time breaks when needed.
